Chapter 33. Call from the Hospital

Sarah turned her body. He smiled at Brenda.

"What's wrong?"

"I'm jealous of you. Mr. Edward treated you very well. Don't let me be moved to take the man again" Brenda said as if scaring Sarah.

Sarah smiled again. "Please! Edward's not Daniel."

Obviously very different. Edward can take care of himself and is not easily tempted by other women. Before being with Catherine for the second time, Edward often acted coldly towards the women who approached him. Actually a lot of applications came, but Edward always rejected it.

After saying so, Sarah headed to Edward's place with her friends. The man immediately stretched out his hands intending to give a hug to his future wife.

"Well, congratulations on your engagement" Edward said.

"Thank you."

Sarah looks ordinary, but her mind is branched. Brenda's words had no effect at the beginning, but the trauma she had when it came to Daniel seemed to just appear.

"Darling, what's wrong with you?" edward asked after realizing that Sarah looked uninspired.

"I'm tired, Edward. Can we go home now?"

"certain. We're going home now."

After saying goodbye to Edward's friends, Sarah was led to the car park. Getting there, before the two of them enter, Sarah prevents Edward.

"Edward, wait!"

"What's wrong? Is there something disturbing?"

Sarah nodded slowly. "Yes." Yeah."

"Tell me!"

"Are you not interested in other women?"

Edward smiled and ruffled Sarah's hair. For years he was willing to wait for Sarah's return, but why now does Sarah doubt him?

"What's this blank, honey?"

"Brenda threatened. He'll take you from me."

Edward pulled Sarah closer. Then, hug her very warmly.

"You're too worried. I wouldn't be tempted by a woman like her. Trust our love that I will do nothing. Okay?"

In the end, Sarah gets in the car. After that, they returned to the mansion.

The night is getting late, but Sarah does not want to stay in the room alone. He asked Edward to accompany him tonight.

"Don't leave me, Edward! Tonight please accompany me in this room."

"Sure, but I have to go to the room first to change my suit. How's it?"

Sarah shook. He declined. His fear was reasonable enough because Brenda would never play around.

"Alright, Sarah. This time you are so spoiled."

Edward was forced to take off his suit, shirt, and leave his trousers alone. While Sarah, she changed her dress with a satin nightgown.

Edward was in bed. Sarah was lying on her back to Edward.

"Still worried about Brenda?"

Who suffers the most here? Sarah or Brenda? Of course Brenda felt the most pain, but Sarah was the one who suffered first. She hated Catherine and changed her form by doing plastic surgery.

"He's sneaky, honey."

"What's different about you? We've been working hard all this time."

"I'm scared, Edward. My fear was like repeating in my defeat against Daniel in the past."

"That's it. You better get some sleep and tomorrow morning we have to prepare for everything. Our marriage is getting closer." Edward hugged Sarah very tightly.

Meanwhile, Brenda had no confidence in what Sarah said when she met at the bar. Therefore, he decided to come to the hospital at night to see Daniel's condition. It is not difficult to find its existence because the nearest hospital has only one.

An old woman who was none other than mama Daniel slept in front of the waiting room. The woman looked helpless, when she was once very powerful.

"Aante!" Brenda shook the woman's body.

Helena slowly opened her eyes. She thought it was a nurse, but when she found out it was Brenda, Helena breathed a sigh of relief.

"Finally, you came too, Brenda! I tried to contact you, but–"

"I didn't care at first, Auntie. After I met Sarah, I decided to come here." Brenda seemed fed up of hearing Helena's pleasantries that would eventually corner it.

"No problem, Brenda. Thank you for coming. By the way, did you break up with Daniel? I thought if you were still in a relationship, you wouldn't ignore my call."

Well, right, isn't it? Helena harassed him thinking that they were still in touch. In fact, Brenda did not want to have a relationship with a man who could not have the child at all. So, all this time the problem was Daniel, not him.

"Daniel suffered a broken leg and the doctor was–"

"Don't say anything, Auntie!" Brenda cut off Helena's words. "Our relationship is over and as long as Auntie knows that Daniel is the one who's been in trouble!"

Helena who was initially sleepy suddenly had to open her eyes wide. Not only that, his hearing seemed to capture other information. What did Brenda mean just now?

"What's this about, Brenda?"

After Daniel took the results of his health condition check-up, Brenda grew curious. He took it, but on another day. The doctor initially refuses Brenda's request to know the final results of Daniel's examination, but after explaining the case by lying to be his wife, the doctor finally says that Daniel is in trouble.

"Here you go, Auntie, I think you already know that Daniel was suffering from oligospermia. Didn't he say anything to Auntie?"

Helena screeched restrained. He could no longer afford to go through days of chest tightness. He should have known from the beginning. More precisely before Daniel decided to approach another woman. If it was like this, everything would end up in vain.

"There's nothing you're talking about, Brenda. Maybe Daniel didn't want to make me sad."

"Ck, that's so outrageous! You will continue to look down on the women associated with Daniel. You must have thought those who were unwell included me. The truth is Daniel had a problem. So, I'm just here to see you. After that, don't ask Daniel to look for me again. He had already received the appropriate punishment for his past behavior!"

Helena fell silent. She couldn't answer all Brenda's words to him. The woman immediately left after being satisfied to reveal everything.

Again Helena's chest was tight. The nurse who happened to pass by nearby immediately helped to take her to the emergency room.

Daniel is not yet recovered. Plus Helena who suddenly had a heart attack. So the first person contacted by the hospital was Sarah who indeed left her phone number there.

While talking to Edward, his phone rang. There's a call from the hospital number.

"Who, Honey?" ask Edward.

"Call from the hospital. Can I lift it?" Of course Sarah had to seek approval from Edward, her future husband.

"Of course!"

Sarah raised the call. He was stunned when he heard a voice behind the phone that told him the bad news.
