Behind All Changes

Behind All Changes
Chapter 37

2 Days later.

Today is the day that Lidya will be leaving for the Olympics.

This morning Grandma Lidya had just been buried. Lidya waited for some relatives from her Grandmother before burying her Grandmother.

Now the clock is showing at 13:45. That means in one hour and fifteen minutes, Lidya will be leaving.

If it wasn't for her grandmother. Most likely Lidya will stop the race.

Lidya brought the equipment she needed while there. He took a taxi to the campus. From college they will start their journey to the race.

At exactly 15:00, the car Lidya and Kelvin were riding down the streets of the capital.

"Are you alright?" Ask Kelvin. (Are you okay?)

Lidya nodded with her flat face.

Seeing Lidya's response, Kelvin felt very worried. Since the lifeless body of Grandma Lidya was taken from the hospital to the family home. Since then Kelvin has seen Lidya's flat face. And even more strangely, Lidya did not say a word.

"If you want to cry, cry" said Kelvin.

Lidya shook her head indicating she did not want to cry.

"My tears are dry" said Lidya.

"Lidya I don't like seeing you like this. If you want to get angry or hit me. But don't communicate with me like that" Kelvin said.

Lidya clenched her hands. Suddenly, the tightness of disappointment and sadness spread across his chest cavity.

"Stop, or I'll lose control and hurt you" Lidya said, turning her eyes to the glass.

"It's okay. Just do as you please. As long as your attitude is not cold to me" said Kelvin.

"Damn," Lidya muttered a little.

Lidya wants to land her fist Kelvin. But his fist stopped in the air.

"I can't" said Lidya, lowering her hand.

"I'm sorry, if my attitude makes you uncomfortable" said Lidya.

"It's okay. But don't suffer all your suffering itself. Share with me" said Kelvin, pulling Lidya into his arms.

Fortunately, there were only the two of them in the car as well as the private driver of the campus. Because their guidance counselor is leaving tonight.

Lidya resigned, he leaned his head against Kelvin's chest. There was a feeling of comfort that spread throughout his body. Due to the exhaustion or comfortable effect Lidya fell asleep in Kelvin's arms.

Since two days ago, Lidya had never slept properly. And now he could only close his eyes peacefully.

Kelvin stroked Lidya's hair and kissed her fiance's forehead occasionally.

I hope we can always be like this,

The hope Kelvin had said in his heart.

***

"Where am I?" Lidya was terrified because there was no one she knew here.

"Sister Kelvin," call Lidya over and over again.

Lidya catches Kelvin standing as if waiting for Lidya to come to him.

Lidya ran towards Kelvin and wanted to hug him.

But when his hands were outstretched to hug Kelvin, the fiancee. Someone from behind Lidya pulled her hand forcefully.

"Hey, let me go. I want to meet my fiancee" said Lidya trying to release the stranger's hand checks.

"Sister Kelvin," call Lidya.

But Kelvin didn't budge from his place.

When their distance was far, a bullet shot quickly towards Kelvin.

Dor...

"Ah...no" cried Lidya closed her eyes not strong enough to see what happened.
