"Lidya, why bother?" Ask Kelvin.
"No," For a moment Lidya fell silent again. He thought of something that would definitely have a big impact on his future.
Grandma had to be operated on in a month. The Olympics will be held in one month. And surely my concentration will be split between Grandma and the Olympics. If I choose to take care of Grandma, then I won't be able to focus on the Olympics. But if I choose the Olympics, then most likely my grandmother. I'm gonna cancel this Olympics. My grandmother can't be replaced by anything. I can get a second chance for the Olympics, but I won't get a second chance to take care of Grandma.
Lidya said in her heart.
"Can I.. cancel my participation?" Ask Lidya.
Kelvin was surprised to hear Lidya's question.
"Why?" Ask Kelvin.
"I want to take care of Grandma" Lidya replied.
"I don't want my focus to be torn between studying and taking care of Grandma. For me now my Grandma is the encouragement of my life and I want to take care of her" Lidya said.
Kelvin seemed to breathe.
"That problem, talk to Dean Uly" Kelvin said.
Lidya nodded.
"Is there a donor for Grandma?" Lidya asked in a soft voice so that her Grandmother could not hear what she was saying.
Kelvin nodded sadly.
"Sister Kelvin," the voice from Lidya's phone.
The owner of the voice was none other than Gisel walking towards Kelvin and holding tightly to Kelvin's arm.
"I'm sorry, I seem to bother you. Then it's a long time ago" said Lidya while pressing the red button.
Kelvin noticed that his phone screen had suddenly gone black.
"Yes," Kelvin replied as he left Gisel to enter the house.
"Sister Kelvin, wait" Gisel shouted.
Kelvin walked into the house and sat on the sofa in the living room.
"What's up, Mom?" Ask Kelvin.
"Gisel's parents want to talk, they want you to listen to what they're going to say" replied Mommy Kelvin.
Kelvin nodded in understanding. Then he turned to look at Papi Gisel, waiting for what the man would say.
"Look, kid. We as Gisel's parents want the best for Gisel. We want Gisel to get a man who's fit to be his best man. Today is different from our time. The relationship is now very free. So I as Father Gisel want my daughter to avoid the association" said Papi Gisel.
"Then?" Asked Kelvin who still did not find the bright spot of Gisel's father's conversation.
"I want Kelvin to be my daughter-in-law and my daughter's husband. If I can, I want you to get married soon" Gisel's father said.
Daddy, Mommy, and Kelvin are shocked to hear what Papi Gisel has to say.
While on the other hand, Gisel smiled in satisfaction.
"But sir, my son is still in college and married at an early age. I disagree" said Daddy Kelvin.
"If that is the reason, we can postpone their marriage until Kelvin graduates" Papi Gisel insisted.
"I leave all the decisions to Kelvin" said Daddy Kelvin, handing over the decision to Kelvin
Kelvin was silent for a moment, trying to think of the right answer. Because Kelvin also had to think about his parents' friendship and business.
"Give me a month to think" said Kelvin.
Kelvin can't decide anything at the moment, which is why he prefers to give an uncertain answer.
