Behind All Changes

Behind All Changes
Chapter 17

Lidya once wanted to move from home to her Grandma's house. But Grandma Lidya advises Lidya not to leave her parents. Lidya's grandmother doesn't want Lidya to become resentful towards her father.

It was not Grandma Lidya's intention to not allow Lidya to stay with him. But he just didn't want Lidya to become dependent on him. Especially Grandma Lidya aged woman. Anytime they can die of age.

"My grandmother was everything to me. When my mom died, Grandma was the only person who wanted to be my family. I live part of my life with Grandma. And part of my life is with Grandma. If Grandma leaves me. I think I'll be gone that day, "lidya said in tears.

Remembering her Grandmother was the only person who loved her sincerely. And some of Lidya's life was spent with her Grandma.

"Lidya, don't cry. From now on my family and I are your family too. You are part of my family" Kelvin said, wiping away Lidya's tears without stopping.

"Why should you be the one my mother chose to be my husband? Why not just another friend's son? What is special about you?" Ask Lidya to Kelvin.

For a moment Kelvin gasped at Lidya's question which he should have asked at the beginning of their meeting, not this time.

"Maybe your mother has a special reason" Kelvin replied.

"Maybe," replied Lidya who was not too sure of Kelvin's answer.

"Oh yeah, for some time I wanted Grandma to stay with me" Lidya said.

"I want to take care of Grandma" said Lidya.

"Just do what you want. The apartment is yours. You can bring anyone there, as long as neither men nor people are dangerous to you" Kelvin said.

"My apartment?" Ask Lidya.

Kelvin nodded.

"The apartment is not mine" said Lidya.

"Take that as a gift from me" said Kelvin.

"I'm sorry, but I can't accept something that's not mine" Lidya said.

"Lidya, why the hell do you like to argue with what I say?" Ask Kelvin.

"Why can't you obey me?" Ask Kelvin.

"Originally you know, I'm not a submissive girl. If you don't like my nature, you can find another girl to marry. Because my Mother's will is not for you but for me. If I can't do my mother's will, I can accept whatever I'll get as punishment" Lidya said.

"Lidya," snapped Kelvin.

Kelvin was furious at what Lidya had said. How could Lidya think she would marry another girl?

On the other hand Lidya was surprised by Kelvin's clash. The first impact he heard from Kelvin was intended for him.

Lidya did not feel afraid of the sound of the snapping, because Lidya had often been snapped. But hearing the snaps of Kelvin's mouth for her, really took him by surprise. Because Lidya thinks what's wrong with her words? Lidya said so for Kelvin's good. Lidya thinks Kelvin wants to marry her because of her mother's will.

"Did I say it wrong?" Ask Lidya who feels innocent.

"I said it for your own good. You did this marriage only because of Mom's will. If you're not happy, go find another girl. Because I don't like to lock someone up" said Lidya.

Lidya passed away leaving Kelvin still in his place.

"Mr," call Lidya.

"What's up, baby?" Ask Grandma Lidya.

"We go home, yuk" Lidya asked.

"Kok came home, the show was not finished," said Grandma.

"No papa, Grandma. Even the night air is not good for Grandma" said Lidya.

"You're the owner of the show, how can you go?" Ask Grandma Lidya.

"There's a father who can replace me, Grandma" Lidya replied.

"Yes, let's go home" Grandma Lidya finally relented.

Lidya smiled happily, while holding her Grandma to leave where they were now.

Lidya takes her Grandma to the apartment she says is hers.

"Why are we here, Lidya? Why don't you go to your dad's?" Ask Grandma Lidya confused.

"Lidya wants to study independently, Grandma" Lidya replied.

"You live here alone? Didn't your father forbid you?" Ask Grandma Lidya.

"Dad banned Lidya, Grandma. But Lidya insisted and assured Dad that Lidya would be fine living alone" Lidya replied lying.

"But Grandma's suitcase is still in your fiance's house. Grandma forgot it, " said Grandma Lidya.

"Yes, Grandma. Lidya bought Grandma's clothes for a second. Don't go anywhere" Lidya told his grandmother.

Grandma Lidya nodded.

Lidya came out of her apartment with a small bag containing her apartment's debit card and key card.

Lidya looked at Kelvin who was in front of the receptionist's desk. Instead of greeting, Lidya instead walked quickly avoiding meeting the man who had become his fiancee.

"Lidya," turns out Kelvin saw Lidya walking half-run.

Instead of stopping, Lidya ran out of the building. Kelvin, who sees Lidya running, chases her until she is caught.

"Why are you trying to get away from me?" Ask Kelvin.

"I'm not avoiding" Lidya replied lying.

"Then why did you come straight home from the party and run when I called?" Ask Kelvin.

"You called me?" Lidya asked pretending not to know.

"Don't pretend to be Lidya" said Kelvin, who knew Lidya was pretending to be with him.

"I left the party because the night air wasn't suitable for Grandma's health. And why am I running? Because I don't want to leave Grandma too long alone" Lidya replied.

Lidya threw out Kelvin's hand, and ran towards the taxi base. When Lidya wants to get in the cab.

Kelvin blocks Lidya by pulling Lidya's hand.

"Why are you always bothering me?" Tanya Lidya was upset.

"Go away, and stay away from me," Lidya shouted in annoyance.

Then Lidya got into the taxi car leaving Kelvin who could only watch the fiancee's departure.

Kelvin left his place to enter the apartment building. Get in the elevator, and go to his own apartment.

On the other hand,

Lidya arrived at the store that provided clothes. Lidya chose clothes that she thought would fit her grandmother. Lidya chose 5 clothes for her beloved Grandma. Then he went to the cashier to pay.

Just when Lidya wants to pay, a woman instead takes Lidya's position.

"Ups, I'm sorry Miss but I was the first one" said the woman named Gisel.

Lidya and Gisel went to high school first. Gisel was a transfer student when Lidya was in the 3rd grade.

But strangely enough at that time Gisel hated Lidya so much. Because Gisel considers Lidya is his enemy to get Kelvin, at that time.
