Because of a Dream

Part 6's. The Beginning of a New Life

Then as soon as the boy finished saying everything to Christine, he immediately knelt down in gratitude. He did not expect that his words would be heard that quickly. Now the boy does not need to scavenge again and wrestle all day in a pile of garbage. He was very happy because later his brother could be cleaner. So they celebrate it by eating good food in one of the food stalls not far from where he lives.

And since he still had the rest of the money, they also went to the shoe store and bought shoes for his sister.

Even the next day, when he was about to go to work, he also asked what he wanted to buy if he came home from work. I don't think he's happy enough with all the things he's done. But Christine, although difficult to answer, she still answered by saying that she wanted a mobile phone.

Hearing that, the boy simply nodded his head and smiled as if he was sure he could buy it with his hard work. He even encouraged Christine to continue to be patient waiting for him.

But when he arrived in the garden, he did not work, but instead dissolved thinking about Christine's wishes. 'How long will I raise money to buy it? How much? Will he be patient in waiting?' All these questions take up time. Until it was almost noon, he had not done anything.

Before long the gardener came to him and saw him dumb. All he did was scrape the ground with his finger. The park has not been touched. But the woman was not immediately angry with him but asked why his face looked gloomy.

But the boy was silent. Then the owner of the garden asked him again and tried to draw his heart. He was very curious as to why suddenly the child was not excited. Not like the first day he worked.

Finally, after being urged, the boy was willing to answer. But he drew on the ground. He drew a cell phone and explained that he needed it most.

"So this made your face grim? What do you want it for?" Ask the garden owner.

Then the boy drew again on the ground the face of a girl and wrote that it was for his little sister.

"Calm down. Don'worry. If you work hard, you can buy it. Now you better keep working." Reply to the woman.

Then the woman left him. But because it was noon when he started working, the garden he could clean was not spacious. But again the owner of the garden was not angry and gave wages as usual when it was late afternoon. The wages do not decrease.

Then while walking home, he sees someone dumping a broken DVD into the trash. He quickly ran to the dumpster to pick it up before being preceded by another scavenger who was also scavenging the trash not far from it. He took the DVD and brought it home. I wish he could fix it. He said in his heart,

"Although I don't have the money to buy a cell phone yet, but I got another one. I hope this can be useful later,"

Her feelings were very happy and she hugged the used DVD tightly in her chest. When she got home, she proudly showed Christine the broken DVD. He hoped his sister would be happy. But what happened was just the opposite. Christine laughed loudly and mocked him. He said,

"You think I'm a scrap collector, too?

What is this broken DVD for? People even threw it away. That means the DVD can't be repaired anymore.

Already brother. No need to overdo it like this. I've been happy. No need to waste energy on me like that. I feel sorry to see you, brother. I can't bear to."

So the boy put the damaged DVD into the junkyard and he was very discouraged. Then she approached Christine and handed her a little money and told her to save every single money she gave her every day after work.

He also told all of that to the boy. And said that any money he gave would be kept there.

Then after all, the two teenagers went to the food stall and enjoyed a simple dinner.

The next morning, when the boy reached the park, he saw that the owner of the garden was not there as usual. The house is empty and empty. So the boy went and asked the neighbor. But no one knows.

Then he went back to the house and looked for his master around the garden but could not find him. He doesn't want to work if his employer isn't around. 'How about my wages? Who's gonna give it?" Ask in the heart.

Because he did not know what to do, the boy intended to leave. But as he approached the gate, he suddenly heard something falling from inside his master's house.

So he started to panic and get confused, because no one was there. Being so curious, he walked in and walked around. Then he began to browse through every room in the house.

The large house was only lived alone by a middle-aged woman.

But as long as he walked through, there was nothing strange about what he found. Also when he went upstairs, there was nothing there.

No items were damaged or broken. Everything looks good too.

So the boy heaved a sigh of relief then said inwardly,

"It turns out I was wrong.

I'm leaving already. Maybe my employer's going somewhere now and then in the afternoon or tomorrow he'll be back.

Now I better just go home."

The boy went home without any money because he was not working. Even so he was not desperate. He decided to go to where he used to scavenge and started looking for used items to sell.

But because it was noon when he started scavenging, then he only got two thousand rupiah money.

This time he came home without being able to bring good food to his sister as usual. He could only buy half a pack of white rice to split the two. They had promised that they would not take the money they had saved just to buy food.
