Part 11's. Change Happens

But the next morning, not knowing what was on her mind, Christine approached her brother and stopped him from going to her employer's house. He also said he wanted to stay with the woman. She persuaded and begged her brother to allow her to stay with his employer. But the boy always refused and said that his master was a bad person.

Even so Christine did not care, She even cried while kneeling at the boy's feet.

"Sister, please let me stay with him.

If you love me and care about me, let me. I'm tired of living a shortage like this. Every day I sleep on the mat and wear only a sarong. There are no pillows. I am lonely every day. Brother is too limiting me. There is no entertainment here. And for a long time, I'm going crazy brother. I'm so saturated. If you really want me to be happy, let me stay with your employer. We can still meet, right?"

Suddenly the boy's heart was broken. They made plans last night, but the next day has changed quickly. He was very sick to see his sister more concerned with the comfort he would get than his love for her.

Because he could not see his beloved brother so suffering, the boy was forced to let him go. He was very sorry for taking her to his employer's house. Even the bad events she experienced did not change her sister's feelings.

Then after their state calmed down, they began to get ready to go to the woman's house. Christine washed her face to look fresh. Then once there, he impatiently wanted to see the woman and said he agreed to stay with her.

Later he was frustrated and disappointed to think that his wish would definitely not be realized. He will forever stay in that narrow hut.

But then, he cheered himself up and came back knocking on the door of the house. Finally the middle-aged woman came out to see him.

Christine quickly tells the woman that she has agreed to stay with him.

The woman was also very happy to hear it. Because what he wanted all this time finally materialized. Finally he has a daughter.

But the boy was unhappy and unsettled. He always remembered the bad things that had happened to him. And he was afraid it would also befall his sister.

The woman immediately told him to come in and celebrate. The boy was allowed to keep working. They both went to the shopping center. The woman bought Christine anything she asked for. Her clothes, bags, shoes, and idol album. But she forgot about her brother and didn't buy anything for him.

Once he was satisfied, they returned home. Then the woman went to the boy and said,

"Son, it's afternoon now.

Go then! And home!

Christine will stay with me."

So with a shabby and very sad face, the boy left the house. And his sister, did not see him at all. He was busy with his new stuff.

When the boy was far away, he cried because he was now living alone. Soon her sister forgot about it. The affection he had poured out all this time was meaningless. His life is back as before. Alone and no friends.

That night, the boy could not close his eyes even though time was almost showing early in the morning. His heart was always riled up because it was always thinking about Christine's safety there.

So the next morning, he quickly left because he wanted to see his sister. His eyes are black and pocketed. His face looks very tired. All he thought about was his sister.

When he saw it, he said,

"Are you happy living here? Can you sleep well all night?

And do you eat well here?"

"I'm fine, brother. The brother who looks bad. Didn't you sleep last night thinking about me?

Please brother, don't make me feel burdened. If you are like this, how can I live quietly.

I owe you anyway, brother.

I can continue to live because of my brother's help. If you hadn't helped me back then, I might have been a bum. But I also want to change, brother. Believe me, someday I will repay all the goodwill brother.

Soon, the woman came up to him and asked,

"Hey, why are your eyes red? Did you just cry?

What's up, son? Tell mom.

Remember that! From now on I am your mother. And you're my daughter. My only daughter."

"There's nothing, madam. My eyes are only in dust"

"Don't call the lady. But call me mother. As I just said."

"All right, ma'am."

"Well, we better have breakfast now. I made you some good food. Come on!"

They immediately went to the dining table. He saw that there were a lot of good food and also fresh fruits that his mother served. But it feels like he's hard to eat. He just sat and looked at all the food.

Seeing that, his mother asked him, and,

"Son, why aren't you eating? Why just look at it?"

But he didn't answer. He said in his heart,

"How can I eat this good food, while my brother there doesn't know what to eat. He would definitely only eat white rice and simple side dishes. As we often eat.

I can't enjoy this."

Without feeling her tears begin to fall. His mother became worried and worried about him. He asked again,

"Son, what's wrong? Are you sick?

Don't make me worry like this. Or, is the food bad?"

"No ma'am. I was just thinking about my brother."

"Who's your sister? Yesterday you said you didn't have a family."
