Because of a Dream

Part 17's. Lies and a Thrilling Day.

That night while they were having dinner, her mother pretended to say that she saw the boy. With the intention of ascertaining whether his suspicions were correct.

"Son, I saw your sister around this compound."

"really? Whynot? What do? The house was a mess when I went there this afternoon." The reply unconsciously. But after that he said again inwardly, 'Oh, drugged! I'm speechless. Now what am I supposed to say?'

Her stepmother's reaction immediately changed when she heard her spontaneous words. His suspicions are true.

"What's the truth you just heard about that?" Ask started getting angry.

"No ma'am. That's not true. I'm not going there. Trust me mom. I promised you."

A few days after the invitation, her mother subtly asked her again so she wouldn't see her brother. The woman said she could not forget her heartache. Although the request weighed heavily on her heart, Christine still complied with it by force and even promised. Because he didn't want to see his mother angry.

But because Christine wasn't telling the truth, her mother showed her an object she had taken secretly from her room while she was taking a bath.

"Then what is this. Since when do you keep money in shabby jars like this? I always give you money and you never lack anything. There's no better place you can go to save the rest of your money?"

"It belongs to my friend ma'am. He left it to me and wanted me to keep it because his father was a drunk and a gambler. There was no safe place in his house to save money. Even his mother was always drained and forced to give money to him in drunkenness. Otherwise, his father would have beaten his mother."

"Is that so?"

"Yes mom. I'm not lying. Believe it."

"alright. This time I'll take you honestly. Now continue eating and then rest. No need to help mom. Mother will clean everything up after eating."

And as it was late at night, she came home worried that Christine would be suspicious of her.

"Son, awake!

Now we have to go. Let's wake. Take a shower and prepare yourself!"

"Where are we going this early in the morning?" He answered while rubbing his eyes that still felt heavy. Then he looked at the clock and it was still showing at 4 am.

"Mom, it's still very early in the morning. I'm still sleepy." He tried to sleep again.

"Oh. You are this. Then continue sleeping in the car. Comeup! We're going out of town. Aren't your favorite singers gonna be holding a concert in a few days?"

"Yes mom. But it's still a long time."

"Yes right. But besides, we'll go for a walk first. Let's just say we go on vacation."

"Mother this is so weird. Everything is sudden. I don't understand it. All right, I'll take a shower and get ready. I'll just wait. In 10 minutes I'll be ready."

Then as Christine got ready, her mother said inwardly, I'll make sure you're really far from our lives. I'm sure you're still here and hiding in one place.'

When everything was ready, they left immediately. While the boy could only see it from afar and was very sad. Because usually every morning, he always came to the house to see his sister from afar before going to his workplace in the workshop.

During their vacation, Christine enjoyed it so much. Her gloomy face all this time for not being able to meet her brother, was gone. He forgot because of all the fun he had. Especially when the day he was waiting for arrived. I watched a concert by her favorite singer. He sat at the front so he could see his idol clearly. Enjoy every song performed by her idol. He was so stunned to see the idol's good looks up close. His eyes twinkled because he did not expect it to happen. He said inwardly, 'I used to only see my idol on TV, posters, and cell phones. And I often wish I could see it in person. Now that wish has been realized. My idol is in front of my eyes. I find it hard to believe. Is this true or just a dream? I was sent a mother who could fulfill what I wanted. I'm very lucky.'

He continued to fantasize while enjoying every song his idol sang. And because of all that, he loved his stepmother more and more and was determined to make her happy. Follow every word. Even if she had to forget her brother, she was willing to do so.

After seeing the concert, they returned to the hotel. Suddenly his mother gave him a ticket to meet the fans with the idol. He was happy not to play and scream while hugging his mother and saying thank you. His voice that was uncontrolled had disturbed the people there. So he immediately shut up and neutralized his emotions again for the attention of the people.

Finally, that exciting day arrived. The most stressful day for any fan when meeting his long-awaited favorite singer. He waited for his turn and continued to be nervous. His hands were cold and trembling at the confusion of what kind of expression in front of his idol later. What kind of words will he say later. In his hand is also available a gift for the idol. The usual gift given by teenage children his age to the idol. Like cute teddy bears, accessories, even unique toys. Not to forget he also holds a book to ask for the idol's signature.

So after his turn came, he immediately gave all the gifts, asked for his signature, but only greeted him briefly. His great nervousness, dispelled all the words he had memorized before. Even being so nervous, his hands trembled as he gave his book to ask for his signature.

He also asked that he could touch the idol's face as well as his hair and put a decoration on the idol's head.
