Because of a Dream

Because of a Dream
Part 5's. Expelling Boredom

Day by day Christine always obeyed everything the boy said. He never left the house and was busy at work and kept quiet at home waiting for the boy to come home in the afternoon. Sometimes he fantasizes while looking at the poster of his idol to drive away his boredom.

But one day, he could no longer control his boredom. He was very active and hardworking. But in his place now, he was not allowed to work for money. And that's long enough to make it saturated.

Finally, he went quietly and walked quite far from where he lived. It was very dirty and seedy. A lot of little kids are playing around near a pile of trash. But he did not dare to greet her.

Then he went further and down the dirty and narrow alleys. But what he saw was not much different. Many flies swarm around the got. There was no better place as far as he could see.

So he began to miss his hometown and imagine how beautiful it used to be where he lived. It was so cool and clean because of the many trees. Although it was very remote, but he was happy because he could enjoy the beauty of the hills that became the land of the people in his village.

He recalled, once every time he got money, he would use it freely for his pleasure. But now, he couldn't do it because he didn't have any money.

He used to be willing to cut down on his meal money for all of that. He even often lacks sleep in order to be able to surf social media until midnight.

But now he doesn't have it because the village chief took it when he was caught and tried at the village hall.

Now he is very dependent on living on the kindness of the boy who is now considered as an older brother.

But meanwhile, in the village where he used to live, the news of death about the evil man was gradually lost and forgotten. The five wives of the man had already forgotten their revenge. Now they have a new life in a new place. Some became domestic servants in the house of a camat, some became farm laborers in the fields of people, and some became the third wife. They don't live together like they used to.

While the father hansip, he died of a heart attack. People later learn that his scheming frees Christine and judges her. But when he was tried, death first picked him up.

Sometimes, he was eager to return to his hometown. But it was already impossible since he had to pay for all the sacrifices of the boy.

It wasn't that easy for him to leave after all the good things he had gotten from the boy.

Then when it was getting dark, she quickly went home for fear that her brother would get angry. Unfortunately, his brother arrived first. So as soon as he got to the door, the boy immediately pulled his hand in annoyance and brought him in. Then in sign language he said,

"Why did you get out of the house?

I warned you! Why don't you appreciate my feelings?

I've worked hard for you.

Can't you appreciate it?"

After the boy's heart calmed down, he then explained why he left. He also begged the scavenger boy to let him help him scavenge so as not to get bored. But the boy insisted he would not allow it. He also promised to work even harder to make Christine happy. He said,

"Easy! We better eat. Brother brought rice packs for both of us. Today I only get a little money. But you promised you'd work harder so my sister could eat better."

Then he immediately opened the food wrapper and even gave the side dish to Christine. He only ate white rice. Although Christine refused, the boy insisted on giving it to her.

Then after eating, the boy expressed his concern that he did not want to lose his sister again. That's why the boy begged her so much not to ignore her words again.

Christine who saw him so sad, no longer dared to speak in self-defense. She only accepted and obeyed him as long as it made her brother happy.

**********

The next day, he woke up earlier than the boy. He prepared everything the boy needed to scavenge and put it near the door for easy retrieval. Not to forget he also filled drinking water into his sister's plastic bottle. Then he went to wake the boy.

Then after the boy woke up and finished washing his face and was about to leave, Christine gave him some encouragement and assured him that he would not go anywhere. He said,

"Sister, I hope that someday our lives will change for the better. I promise I won't go anywhere like last night. Brother need not worry. But focus on working and collecting a lot of money."

"Well my sister. I hope so too."

After that, he left. And it's true. When he was just walking a few meters, he saw a woman who was old was looking for a gardener to clean the flower garden that day. And when he heard the wages he would get, he immediately ran after the woman and offered himself.

The woman did not mind accepting it and immediately took it to her yard. There, he could see how vast the garden was. Which he should clean. Then without waiting for long, he immediately went to the warehouse and retrieved his equipment. The hoe, and the scythe, began to clean the garden from the weeds.

He also took a broom to sweep away the trash of fallen leaves. Then it inflames the surrounding soil and watering the flowers.

The owner of the garden was very happy with the work of the boy.

Then when it was late afternoon, the owner of the garden called him and gave him a wage. The owner of the garden even added to his wages from what he said before because he was happy with his work. He also requested that the boy return tomorrow to continue the rest of his work. He said,

"Son, I don't have the power to clean up my entire flower garden anymore. From now on you're the one who has to take care of her, and take care of her.

And from now on you don't have to scavenge anymore. So come tomorrow morning at the same hour. Because I see your work well and I'm satisfied. That's why I'm adding to your pay. You are a good and diligent child."

Hearing that, the boy was delighted and nodded his head many times in agreement. Can't wait he wants to get home and get home so he can quickly tell Christine the good news.
