Part 10's. The Mysterious Boss

In the next day, Christine and the boy went to her employer's house. And as usual, he went straight to the warehouse and took his garden tools and worked. Christine was always by his side.

But shortly afterwards, her master appeared while holding a cup of warm tea. He asked the boy who the teenage girl was with him. So he said that the girl was just someone else who wanted to find a job.

Hearing that, his master was also very happy. She greeted Christine warmly and lovingly like a mother who had long been waiting for her daughter to return.

The woman asked him to sit on the porch and talk to her. The woman also asked him about his life. He said,

"Son, you're a very pretty girl. Whose name? And where are your parents? Are you alone in this small town?"

"I'm Christine's mistress. And I am here alone. Since childhood I have lived alone. No family or relatives."

"Oh so. Did you really live here long ago? But I never saw you."

"No madam. I come from a very distant and isolated village. I was able to get here because I managed to escape from the bad guys. And that time I almost died because of the villagers who had misunderstood me."

"Well, it must be very difficult for a girl your age to survive in a village. But you're very brave. Well already, don't worry. You can work here. You can even stay here with me."

"No need to bother madam. By just giving me a job, madam has been very kind to me. I was very lucky to meet my lady. But if you may know, who's the mistress staying with in a house this big?"

"none. Just me alone. That's why I asked you to stay with me. But if you're not ready, you can think about it first.

I'm so happy to have a daughter as beautiful as you."

Then he said again,

"Well, you can go back to the boy and work with him. Work well and diligently."

So Christine immediately left the woman and went to the boy and began to work. While the middle-aged woman continued to observe the two of them then entered her house.

The woman went to the secret room again. There he spoke to the statue of the girl. He said,

"Son, look! Now we've met. After all this time I waited, now you are present in my life. You're a very beautiful daughter. Mom is very happy. But she refused to stay with her mother.

Son, please don't be like that! Please persuade her to stay with mom. But even if she refused at this time, mother would not give up. I'll keep persuading him."

After speaking, the woman burned the incense before the statue of the girl and said the prayer sentence as she used to do. Then he went back to the two boys, who were busy cleaning the park. He approaches Christine again and persuades her to stay with him again. He said,

"Son, are you hungry? Rest first. Let's have lunch together. I'll cook you both a good meal. Yuk, come!"

"Mmm, don't bother madam. We've brought our lunch." Reply Christine.

"Oh, I don't bother at all. Don't worry."

With a feeling of fear and worry, the two boys walked into the large and majestic mansion. Christine saw that there were many precious objects on the table. Also antique paintings. He asked the woman, though,

"Sorry madam, these things are so beautiful, I just saw them for the first time.

It must be very expensive."

"Oh sure. You're absolutely right, son. Since I was young, I have loved to collect beautiful things like this. And if you want to stay with me, you can have it too."

"Really madam? Well, I'd love to. I'd love to see my favorite artist."

"really? Who's your favorite artist?"

"He's a famous artist in Asia. He is a very handsome and funny singer. I really like it. Tomorrow if I get a chance, I'll show you the poster, madam."

"really? There's gotta be a chance. Tomorrow you can come here. My door is always wide open for you, son.

Well already, let's eat!"

The two boys just waited for a while until the woman finished serving some good food in front of the two of them. Then he gave the boy the best piece of meat but to Christine, he gave more. The two boys ate food until they were full.

Then after enjoying the meal, they had a brief chat about the lives of the two boys before they both came home.

On the way, the two boys were engrossed in chatting about the good thing they had just experienced. It was as if they had momentarily forgotten about that terrible thing. Christine said,

"Mmm, sis, I think your opinion of your master is wrong.

I see he's a kind and generous man. You can also see how he treated me? He's been very nice to me. I've never seen a good rich man like him. I want to stay with him."

It was just his trick. Don't trust him.

You just saw him today. I worked for him for days. Don't forget our plan. With everything I told you last night. I will work hard to fulfill your dream."
