Apocalypse After

Apocalypse After
Wanted it

“What will you do?”

Aurora asked with a suspicious expression on her face. In response, the young man raised the corner of his lips while replying kindly.

“Of course we will be kind enough to help someone avenge him.”

After saying that, Alexander immediately took out a very long rope from his backpack. However, instead of throwing it at people who were battling mutated worms, he instead tied it to the base of a specially designed spear.

Alexander took a swing and threw the spear with all his might.

SWOOSH!

The spear immediately shot out very quickly through the pond with a width of about twenty-five meters.

At the sight of the spear darting flying through the pond, the one-eyed crow instantly spread its wings and flew upwards. However, what made him surprised was the direction the spear was not pointed towards. Instead, the spear pierced through and stuck into the sturdy large tree where he had previously perched.

At that very instant, Alexander who was on the other side held tightly to the other side of the rope. The young man then tied him to a rock that was quite large and tall.

When everyone was confused, Alexander took off the backpack and threw it towards Aurora. After which, he jumped up on the rope, pulled out one of the swords then ran over the rope heading to the other side as if he was doing an acrobatics show.

‘This person!’ aurora in my heart.

Looking at Alexander who looked so excited, Aurora was at a loss as to what to say. To be sure he was once again startled by the actions taken by the young man.

Running on a rope as if on land? Everyone felt that such a thing could not be done without the miracle root that was considered to break human limitations.

Of course, such a thing could actually still be done as long as it was willing to train hard to do so. After all, so-called acrobatics shows or such could not simply appear with just talent. It also requires regular and hard exercise.

“ROWAN!”

Hearing Alexander's shout, Rowan who had barely lost his consciousness looked surprised. While fending off and finishing off some of the monsters around him, the middle-aged man saw the figure of a young man running on a rope several meters higher than where they were.

“I'll be waiting for you across!” alexander said as he continued to run.

Seeing Alexander who passed through the place easily, Rowan felt his fatigue disappear. The middle-aged man directly rushed to the other side which was only less than six meters away.

By the time he reached the other side and crawled up, Rowan just felt pain all over his body. Looking at the lower part of his body that was filled with wounds from the thorns from the vines and the worm bite, the middle-aged man was a bit dizzy. The adrenaline that came from his previous temper also began to disappear, making him realize that he had been poisoned.

“Rowan! Catch!”

Not yet able to rest, Alexander's cry sounded in his ears. The middle-aged man looked up to look at the young man who was standing on top of a tree branch then dropped something.

Rowan caught him. When he saw what had fallen in his arms, the middle-aged man's body trembled violently. He looked at Mari's corpse which was completely almost destroyed and unrecognizable.

Ignoring her horrifying appearance and the stench of the corpse, Rowan closed Mari's eyes and hugged her without saying a word. The middle-aged man looked down. Without feeling, tears flowed quite profusely soaking into his old face.

Ignoring the grieving Rowan, Alexander stood up as he gazed towards the one-eyed crow flying in the sky. Or rather ... floated quietly in the air.

Observing the creature at a close enough distance, Alexander's eyes narrowed.

‘Hopefully my guess is correct. If my guess is right, the plan should be doable.’

Alexander threaded two thin blades from under the cloak using his left hand. The young man glanced towards the one-eyed crow, then towards Rowan.

‘I don't carry bows and arrows because I can use telekinesis. Only, that ability should only be shown in times of urgency. View the current situation ...

Looks like next time I have to prepare long-range combat equipment.’

While thinking of some plans ahead of him, Alexander immediately jumped from one branch to another, from the lowest to the highest.

After getting there, he immediately jumped up high then threw one of the blades towards the one-eyed crow.

Swooshes!

Looking at the blade thrown at him, the creature instantly dodged him. However, just dodging one blade, another blade was thrown at him. Instantly, he again avoided the attack.

While Aurora who was in the distance looked confused, Alexander who was ‘wasting weapons’ nodded with a serious expression. His eyes narrowed even more as he muttered.

“I should have been right. If so ... the idea I think is still quite decent.”

After muttering in a voice that only he could hear, Alexander jumped down. The young man stood not far from Rowan. He then glanced towards the middle-aged man who was crying over his ‘daughter’.

“The one who left won't come back, Rowan. Even if you cry him to death, he won't come back. What remains ... do you want to swallow all this in silence? Or choose to avenge him?”

Despite saying that, Rowan himself also felt helpless. The man lived for quite a long time and found out that flying monsters were a troublesome breed, difficult to deal with.

“I know what you're thinking, Rowan. However, you don't have to worry. It is not at all as difficult as you think,” said Alexander friendly.

“You mean?” rowan asked with a suspicious look on her face.

“Isn't that clear?” reply Alexander while looking at the one-eyed crow flying at a low altitude.

“...”

Looking at Rowan who seemed to not understand, Alexander began to explain.

“You think, why would that one-eyed crow stay in such a suntyi and gloomy place instead of going outside and feeling the fresh air in such a vast world?

There are two possibilities. The former was because his flying ability was lacking, and the latter was light. It seemed that the creature felt uncomfortable when it was in a bright place.

I also had time to test. Besides not liking the light, the creature seems reluctant to fly too high.”

“You mean ..” murmured Rowan with a surprised expression.

The middle-aged man stared at Alexander with a suspicious expression. He had not expected to meet such a young man at all.

Normally, people who met monsters would instantly choose two options. One ran in panic and the second directly fought him. But that's not what Alexander did.

The young man chose to analyze the various possibilities. Not only was it not reckless and ended up wretched, but it could also see some of the opponent's weaknesses. Of course, that was what Rowan thought.

As for Alexander himself, as long as the creature was still level 2, then he would be brave enough to search for information. If the other party was a level 3 or above beast, he would not hesitate to turn around and escape without caring for Rowan and his subordinates.

Perhaps such a thing was considered cowardly and lacked a sense of justice, but Alexander did not care. Being a coward makes him live longer and having a sense of justice to help does not mean having the ability to do so. That meant, he was trying to avoid something that was futile or the possibilities were too small.

Alexander re-stretched his sword. The young man then crouched down then started picking up stones around. Different on the side that leads out, the place opposite ‘lake’ was full of rocks, there was only one big tree.

“What will you do with those stones?” tanya Rowan was suspicious.

“Of course use it as a weapon,” Alexander said flatly. “The creature cannot fly high, so I will force it to fly lower. The rest ... you should understand what to do, right?”

Hearing that, Rowan nodded with a heavy expression.

“I understand.”

Rowan got up after putting Mari's corpse aside. The middle-aged man then activated his miracle root. His body instantly swelled up slightly and his two arms became like the arms of a bear.

At that time, Alexander who was preparing to start taking a position like a professional baseball pitcher.

SWOOSH!

One by one a stone the size of a baby's fist was thrown at incredible speed. In comparison, its power might be able to blow up a human head directly.

Swooshes! Swooshes!

Avoiding Alexander's stone throw, the one-eyed crow flew even lower. Realizing that he would be injured if he flew too high and the conditions around him were unfavorable, the creature flew straight towards the small lake where the vines were full of thorns.

Yes ... as Alexander thought.

“Now, Rowan!” shouted Alexander.

Just then, Rowan who was waiting darted straight to where the one-eyed crow was about to leave. He intercepted the creature then pounced like a starving tiger.

Although fairly broad, but the environment in the cave is still limited. Unlike the vast sky where flying creatures could be free, their abilities were quite restrained in a place like this.

The one jeweled crow who was careless looked at the fist that he could not dodge. In the end, the creature opened its mouth and let out a very loud sound when Rowan's fist hit his body.

A BANG!

The body of the one-eyed crow crashed back into the area within the cave. However, just then Alexander and Rowan who were there were stunned for a moment because they felt their brains buzzing.

Knowing that the strange-looking but weak one-eyed crow had the ability to interfere with the senses of its audience, Alexander ignored the dizziness and instead grinned.

“Such ability .... really makes me want it even more!”
