One week later.
There are seven days in a week. It didn't sound like much, but the last seven days were a very hard day for everyone in Shelter 11.
By the time the wave of ferocious beasts occurred, everything had become chaotic. Damage is everywhere. Many trees were destroyed, even the protective walls of the southern city were destroyed.
Due to the departure of the main force, the people living in Shelter 11 were overwhelmed. Not only that, but the people who fought before also suffered greatly. Either it's on the Blood Cross side or the hunter-free side.
Several level 4 creatures appeared in the chaos, making a huge disaster.
As the greatest holder of responsibility, the Shelter 11 leader went forth with his troops, including some of the strongest level 3 hunters below him.
After fighting hard, they managed to stop the wave of ferocious beasts and clear Shelter 11. However, in exchange, they also had to sacrifice their lives for having to fight in a non-optimal state. Not only were they injured and tired, but the enemies that appeared were actually much stronger than the previous years.
On the free-hunter side, many powerful hunters died at the hands of the leaders of Shelter 11 and Aunt Ma. Even so, there were still many who could survive the battle, but the number was again reduced by half due to the wave of ferocious beasts.
Merely, there was one truth that made all parties whether an army from Shelter 11 or a fighting free hunter angry.
In times of great crisis, red sparrow teams A and B assist Shelter 11. That was also the reason why the leader of Shelter 11 was able to fight some level 4 monsters. Kill one and drive out the other two.
Members of the red sparrow team die on a mission to clean up Shelter 11, but no one thinks of them as heroes. That was because the truth was revealed after the battle.
It turned out that the red sparrow team A or B did not carry any highly valuable materials. They did carry some level 3 ingredients, but it was definitely not something they had to control.
That meant, from the very beginning the two teams were only used as cheats while the original team brought the original items straight to the main headquarters.
Although he did not know what the reason was, provoking unrest so many people were killed and ended up resulting in a shortage of troops in the face of the waves of ferocious beasts was not something that could be considered a joke.
In this tragedy, at least more than a thousand people were killed, including those who fought over the real fake source of wealth.
Arguably, other than the one good news where Shelter 11 was cleared, the rest was bad news. The appearance of multiple casualties, food shortages, water shortages, and worst of all .. The zone once considered safe is now becoming dangerous as many monsters roam outside the walls of Shelter 11.
It was completely surrounded by enemies with a very thin food supply.

Meanwhile, at Melissa's residence.
In a room, Jacob's figure lay on the bed. His whole body was covered in bandages. A strong medicinal aroma wafted within the room. Merely, the middle-aged man was completely unaffected, still closing his eyes without even moving his body.
His breathing was really weak. If not for his heart still beating, perhaps he would have been considered dead.
Not far from the bed, the two people looked at Jacob with sad expressions on their faces. Melissa and Claude. One of them was his disciple, and the other was his master and relative.
“Uncle Jacob ..”
Melissa lowered her head, muttering softly with both hands clenched tightly. He felt very guilty for thinking that the reason Jacob got there and many colleagues died was because of his mistake.
Although not entirely wrong, but there are other reasons why Jacob could be like that. Previously the middle-aged man fought very hard against two level 3 hunters. His own condition has been very decreased and not good. Coupled with fighting fiercely against Alexander and being poisoned by the young man, the man eventually had to fall vegetative.
Now the toxins in Jacob's body have been detoxified. However, the impact of the previous battle had not disappeared at all. His body was too tired to wake up and enter a vegetative period.
Claude glanced at Melissa. The beautiful woman he had previously known was now quite changed. Not only was his appearance a bit messy, but he had also become slightly thinner.
Meanwhile, Claude's own body was also wrapped in bandages. The wounds he had received earlier had not fully healed. Merely, the man was rather curious as to why he was not poisoned like his teacher.
Recalling how helpless he was, then looking at Jacob lying unconscious in bed, Claude's hands clenched tightly.
‘I swear I won't let you down again, Master! Either the safety of Miss Melissa and the enemy waiting in front of us ..’
‘From now on I'll take care of it!’

Meanwhile, deep in Shelter 1, the main headquarters of Blood Cross.
In a luxurious living room of the Rosewald Family residence, three people sat on a leather sofa. There were also two people standing quietly.
In the main seat, there appeared a middle-aged man in his late forties. His face was a bit pale, but did not cover his good looks. Not to mention, there was something striking about the man's appearance.
Blonde, ruby-like red eyes.
Behind the man, two people were standing. Just like the guards who were escorting their master.
Meanwhile, across the table were two people sitting. One of them was a handsome man who looked calm was closing his eyes. While the other was a handsome man with a slightly wild appearance, who only wore trousers and wore nothing in winter whose temperature was extremely extreme.
The slightly wild-looking man crossed his legs, propping up his chin while looking towards the middle-aged man in front of him with a dissatisfied expression.
“Mr Julius, may I kill this shitty man? He was simply no match for being the new head of the Rosewald Family! He's just trash!” said the man loudly.
“YOU-“
“You two are silent!”
Before the two dissatisfied guards interjected, the middle-aged man raised his hand. Cue them both to be quiet and not to interfere. He then looked at the man in front of him respectfully, and said in a gentle tone.
“I did kill a lot of people, and I cannot deny that fact, Mr. Kaiser. Merely, this had to be done because Shelter 11 had too many people. Since my father recently passed away, I fear they rebelled when they received the news. Not to mention, many free hunters in Shelter 11.
So, I feel that the choice to clean most of them is correct.”
Hearing the middle-aged man's remark, Kaiser tapped on the seat handle lightly using his index finger rhythmically. Each beat looked very light, but made the very solid seat grip filled with cracks.
“Don't I tell you that a wave of more powerful beasts will appear and the continent will become even more chaotic from next year? Why are you still pitting free hunters and your own subordinates?
You've made the lives of many people disappear! Even if there are level 4 hunters in Shelter 11, it does not guarantee that they can survive!”
Looking at the impatient Kaiser, the middle-aged man smiled sincerely. He had obviously made many people die, becoming the true victor of the battle that took place in the outer mountains of Shelter 11. However, the middle-aged man could not help but feel nervous when being stared at by Kaiser because his previous remark was not nonsense at all.
Kaiser can indeed really kill him and escape from Shelter 1 easily!
“Enough. We didn't come to riot, Kaiser. We both just came to deliver the message.”
Just then, Julius who had been silent suddenly spoke. He then got up from his chair. The man then nodded at the middle-aged man from the Rosewald Family then continued.
“Sorry to have wasted your time.”
After saying that, Julius walked away.
Kaiser looked at the middle-aged man for a few seconds before getting up. With a light leap, he immediately caught up with Julius who was walking slowly.
Really left the room in silence.
