Apocalypse After
Ordinary Pedestrian

“How do you sell these bones? How much?”

Alexander stood in front of a bone seller. As the name suggests, the person sells the bones of the monsters. Merely, such a person did not hunt monsters specifically. Just pick it up.

The bone sellers who open the stall in a place like this usually ‘steal’ the bones from the empty monster nest. Of course, that means the bones are random and mostly useless.

To make a weapon or armor, a special part of the monster was required. Most are fangs, claws, horns, scales, and skin. But there are some exceptions. Sometimes there are also animal tail and ribs. Those parts are usually sold by bone sellers.

Although the price is quite cheap, but most of them are useless. So, it is often called bone gambling. A lot of people are desperate because of that kind of thing.

“The price is 100 coupons. This is the best thing I have. You certainly have nothing to lose,” said the trader.

“Mahal!” alexander said in a depressed tone that sounded natural.

“You can feel the weight. This shouldn't be ordinary stuff. If lucky, it could most likely be the material of a level 2 creature or above.”

Hearing the merchant's words, Alexander shook his head. Although it was the bones of a high-level creature, if it could not be used it was still considered futile. Fortunately he had some knowledge of such materials.

‘Tails lizard whip level 2. If sold at market price, it should be 170-180 coupons. If resold, it should be able to sell 150 coupons.’

Alexander silently thought. After a while, his gaze headed towards the inconspicuous pile of ribs. He pretended to hesitate for a moment before returning to bid.

“Random bones of that size usually sell 50 coupons, because the weight .. I will buy it for 60 coupons. It should be good for you,” said the young man in a depressed tone.

“It ..” The seller seemed doubtful. After a while, he said, “Minimum 80 coupons and I will give you a rib bonus. Choose five as you like.”

“Isn't that a scam?” muttered Alexander helplessly. “Maximum 75 coupons and I will choose his own ribs.”

“AGREE!” said the bone seller in a hurry. It seemed that Alexander was fleeing.

Alexander himself let out a long sigh, pretending to be depressed. He gritted his teeth then pointed at some random ribs.

“Take only 5 bones of it.”

“EH? These two bones are light, seemingly porous. Would you like to replace it?”

“Keropos or not at all makes no difference. Besides, it's all useless. Just take that! I just hope this tailbone is worth the price!” alexander said as he gritted his teeth.

Looking at the angry Alexander, the bone seller shook his head lightly. He packed all the bones with a faint smile on his face.

After paying and taking the bone, Alexander left with a grim expression. The people who saw him just shook their heads. To think there was one more foolish and desperate young man who was fooled by such cheap tricks.

Meanwhile, Alexander who was leaving suddenly lifted the corner of his lips behind his mask.

‘Getted! This is really a big profit!’

Alexander himself calculated that he only had 105 coupons. After deducting 75 coupons, there are only 30 coupons left. Looking towards the tailbone and ribs in the worn cloth bundle, he immediately felt relieved.

‘Besides the profit of 75 coupons, I actually got the jackpot!’

Thinking of that, the corner of Alexander's lips went back up. The young man then walked around a few times. After making sure no one was following, then he went to the crowded area of the Entertainment District.

Alexander went straight to the weapon manufacturing shop. He then went to the counter where there was a burly middle-aged man guarding him.

“I want to sell something. This should be the tail bone of a 2.” level whip lizard

Alexander took out a tail bone that had turned slightly yellow and placed it on the counter.

The burly middle-aged man looked at the mysterious-looking Alexander. Gazing towards the yellowed bone, he raised his eyebrows.

“Do,” reply Alexander while putting 20 coupons.

“Interesting!”

The middle-aged man looked at Alexander with a grin on his face. He took the coupon and the bone then went to the back.

A while later, the man returned and looked towards Alexander with a smile.

“It was indeed a level 2 whip lizard bone. But the price will go down because it has turned slightly yellow. I'll give you 130 coupons.”

“Cannot.” Alexander shook his head. “Although yellowing, the bone is not porous. It had absolutely no effect in the manufacture of weapons. You should be able to sell it for 180 coupons. More profit again if directly made weapons.”

Hearing Alexander's words, the beak man realized that the mysterious young man was not an amateur. He raised an eyebrow while asking, “How much do you want?”

“160 coupon,” reply Alexander.

“Too exaggerated!” The middle-aged man frowned. “Most 140 coupons.”

“Then normal price, 150 coupons.” Alexander shrugged his shoulders.

“Because it is slightly yellow and not guaranteed, at most 145 coupons.”

Alexander and the middle-aged man looked at each other for a moment. A while later, the young man finally said, “Talent!”

Both men shook hands. After that the middle-aged man paid Alexander 145 coupons.

‘Buy cost for 75 coupons and identification 20 coupons, total 95 coupons. With selling price 145 coupons, I get profit 50 coupons.’

Alexander smiled behind his mask. The young man knew that now he was lucky, but could not do this kind of thing continuously.

If done, many people would look at him suspiciously. People from powerful groups or even guilds were definitely aware of his ability in material identification. In the end, they will target him. Arresting him by force in order to be used for their own benefit.

In order to prevent such a thing, Alexander did not plan on doing such a thing continuously. It is better to do it occasionally to get additional results. Still, finding materials directly into the wilderness was his main job. That way, he could gain many advantages and battle experience.

Thinking of his next plan, Alexander nodded his head with a satisfied smile behind his mask.

Just about to walk out of the shop, the middle-aged man's voice suddenly sounded.

“My name is Jones. What's your name, man?”

Hearing that, Alexander turned his head while replying.

“Only ordinary pedestrians.”

After saying that, Alexander walked out of the store.

He went back for a walk around District 3 to avoid people trying to follow him. When he was sure that no one was following him, the young man opened a cloth.

Alexander threw three ribs into the corner of the alley at random. He then looked at the two remaining bones with a loving gaze.

‘This place is indeed full of treasures. After all, who would have thought ..’

Alexander's eyes narrowed.

‘Hunter level 1 unobtrusive will get the main material of making weapons level 3.’
