Apocalypse After

Apocalypse After
Starting a New Journey

Next morning.

At the hideout, Alexander and his comrades opened their eyes. Still in the same room, a rather dark and cold place. There were only lanterns containing luminous moss that became the source of their illumination.

“Truly boring.” Alexander took a long breath. “My injuries have improved, how about we go back to Shelter 11? Maybe we can find a way if a little trying.”

“What are we going back to that place for? There is no longer something we need there,” said Aurora flat.

“But, that person ..” murmured Alexander with an unconvinced expression.

“You mean Juan? That person is dead,” Aurora said with a blank expression on her face.

At first, Aurora also tries to find information about Juan. After all, his last target was that person. But who would have thought the world was playing tricks on him. It turned out that that person had also fallen victim in a great battle against the waves of ferocious beasts. By its very nature, it might try to escape but ultimately fail.

Hearing that, Aurora knew that all the grudges and people she hated were dead. Previously the woman thought that she would become very satisfied and happy after the revenge was avenged. However, in contrast to what he thought, it turned out to be so hollow.

Aurora herself did not know whether she was normal or not. Only, the woman felt very empty. There is no joy, sadness, or other emotion when it comes to knowing your grudge is avenged. There is only emptiness.

“Are you okay?” ask Alexander.

Seeing that something was wrong with Aurora, the young man felt a little worried. As one of the comrades he could trust and had helped him several times, Alexander was still quite concerned about Aurora.

“There is absolutely no problem,” Aurora said while shaking her head. “After this we will go where?”

“Kita?” Alexander tilted his head.

Seeing Alexander's shocked expression, the corner of Aurora's lips twitched. Her expression became even colder when she asked, “Am I not welcome here?”

“Eh?” Alexander was stunned in place. He immediately shook his head and explained. “Not so. I just didn't expect that you were planning to follow us. After all, usually you insist on going alone.”

“Then now I will follow you. Besides, I already have no other purpose.” After saying that, Aurora glanced towards the four other women in the room. “I think you guys are the same, right?”

“Ya.” Daisy nodded lightly. He was not so afraid of Aurora who had a cold attitude because she had known each other for quite a long time. “You could say me and Aster are a little different because we both are ‘property’ have Mr. Alexander. Our status is not as good as yours.”

“I think that me and Nene have the worst status. Not only is Boris' former ‘’ property of poor status and targeted for resale, but neither of us have any real skills like the two of you.” Jane said flatly.

The woman's expression did not change much as if she did not mind when stating such a fact. The woman is also not afraid when it comes to dealing with Aurora, Daisy, and Aster who are hunters. Not an ordinary person like him.

“Uhuk! Uhuk! How about we stop talking about things like that?” said Alexander who felt the atmosphere became a bit awkward.

“...” The four women nodded in silence.

“There is no point in talking about such sad things. We better talk about what we're going to do next. While we can live this way, it is not a long-term solution.

Now we're six people. Not so much, but not too little. At least it could be considered a medium-sized and normal team. But I want to divide the task so that we can be more focused and develop better in the future.

Since you guys are following me, it means that it doesn't matter if I become the chairman right?”

Hearing Alexander's explanation, the five women nodded with serious expressions on their faces.

“I don't mind. However, previously you were a solo hunter. Why are you suddenly thinking about making a group? Don't tell me because we followed you so you had to do it,” said Aurora with narrowed eyes.

“Of course not.” Alexander shook his head. “I want to make a group because it is quite useful. Don't mention mysterious groups and large families like Nine Gates or such, even small groups are really profitable.”

“Favorable?” Aurora's eyebrows shot up, seemingly a little confused.

“Whatever I am, I'm still only one person. One person can only be in one place at a time. That means, many people can be scattered and be in different places at the same time.

No matter how great the person is, it is difficult to do everything at the same time. Even if you try to make a schedule, it can become messy and collide. Therefore, I feel making a group is a good choice.

We can split the tasks and get more profit.

Of course, there is a very important problem, which is loyalty. Many groups are difficult to develop because of trust issues. They couldn't trust each other, and it wasn't something wrong.

We can't easily trust people, but if we can find people who can be trusted, it means the next step will be easier.”

Sensing the five women looking at him with serious expressions on their faces, Alexander pretended to cough then returned to explaining calmly.

“First of all, we will split the task. It might be too hasty, but I also plan to split it into two divisions. Either our group can grow bigger or not, but the foundation must be solid.

I will be the chairman and the absolute voting holder in the group. Aurora will be the vice-chairman. In addition, we will create two divisions, namely the combat division and the logistics division. Aster will be the leader of the combat division with Jane as a member. Daisy will lead the logistics division with Nene as anggora.

Daisy, Aster, there's not much I can say because you already know which way to go.

Jane, you're cold and very calm, plus you don't have a lot of fear, you should be a good fighter.

Nene, you're a little shy and very submissive. I don't think you like to fight, so I'll let Daisy teach you how to cultivate simple ingredients. Of course, there were still combat exercises because strength was the most important. Although not great, at least you can take care of yourself.

Is there any objection?”

“NO!” answer the five of them in unison.

Just then, Aurora looked at Alexander with a hint of admiration in her eyes. After careful thought, he finally asked, “How about the group name?”

“How is Tim Alexander? Let the name of the chairman become more famous,” said Aster in a naive tone.

“At least call Team V, because in the dark world the Master is called in such a way.” Daisy shook her head.

“Your naming budget is bad,” murmured Aurora with a look of wonder. He then glanced towards Alexander. “What do you think?”

“I know you because we promised to help each other. Daisy and Aster swore to follow me as my promise to care for and protect them. Jane and Nene are willing to submit and follow my instructions because I promise to avenge them both.

We can all gather here because of the promises and vows we once did, so ..”

Alexander smiled kindly before continuing.

“Call it Oathkeeper.”

With the words of Alexander, a small team called ‘Oathkeeper’ was formed. A team where they will live and together embark on a new journey in this increasingly bleak world.
