A Freedom?

One week later.

Six people walked through the trees without leaves. Whether it was the ground they were on, the tree trunk, and the tree canopy were covered by a thick layer of snow.

In the wild, there are no roads and the snow is not cleared so it piles up thick and makes it harder for people to walk. For some hunters, this is no big deal. However, it was not the same for ordinary people without additional strength.

Walking in the heavy snow is exhausting. Not to mention, the temperature was so low that it had to wear thicker clothes. Thick clothes themselves make it warmer, but also slightly affect movement. You could say, has a plus and minus value.

In the wild, slow movement without strong protection means asking for death. So, either wearing lighter clothing but having to withstand the cold, or thicker clothing but affecting mobility is quite detrimental. This is why people should not travel in winter.

Extreme cold temperatures, snow-covered terrain, and hungry monsters were all things they had to be prepared to face.

Alexander took a long breath. A puff of warm smoke instantly emerged from his mouth due to the extremely cold ambient temperature. He then glanced at the five people who were following him.

Now they all wear dark-colored robes. Behind the robe, they also wore quite thick clothes, especially Jane and Nene. The two women were clearly almost overwhelmed, not to mention they also had to carry luggage.

Jane and Nene carry fewer items, while Daisy and Aster carry more. Aurora did not carry the bag on her back, while Alexander still carried the bag. Of course, the reason why the young man was carrying the bag was because the precious ingredients and potions were there. He didn't seem to want anyone else to take him.

There were only five large bags, but they contained a lot of materials that had been processed. There were also some equipment such as swords, daggers, spears, and light armor. That's what they can bring with maximum value. Which made Alexander a little reluctant to leave some less valuable ingredients and potions (somewhat poor quality) in the previous place.

“Is it still far?” alexander asked as he glanced towards Aurora.

“About half a day of travel,” Aurora replied with a flat expression on her face.

“Hmmm ..” Alexander pinched his chin. After a while, he said, “Shut up for a while. We're in a pretty safe place. So there should be no problem if just rest for a while.”

After saying that, Alexander gestured for the five people to rest. He then handed his backpack to Aurora. A pair of jet-black wings appeared on the young man's back. In an instant he flew away.

While Alexander was flying to observe around, the five people were resting.

Aurora sat quietly without much talking. Although his relationship with the other four women was not bad, but they were not so familiar. It was not that he wanted to stay away, but the four women seemed to be putting a limit on him.

Aurora didn't know if it was because they hated her or just because they felt inferior. The woman only wished that they could treat her in the usual way. There was no need to be too respectful and formal in front of him.

Aurora said without opening her eyes, still leaning against the tree while resting. Then the woman continued.

“Shelter 1005 is not far away. We will arrive at the destination after passing the small hill in front.”

Aurora's voice rang out, making the other four somewhat exhausted women become excited. Even the cuckoo-looking Alexander looked quite relieved.

“Tiba at destination before sunset. It seems that tonight we can rest better,” said the young man in a flat tone.

“Isn't this trip smooth? Why do you look like you have so many complaints?” Aurora raised her eyebrows.

According to him, their journey to this place is fairly smooth. They had absolutely no encounter with a level 2 creature, let alone a level 3 or above. You could say, they were very lucky to travel without the slightest scratch.

After walking for a while, they climbed a small hill. From there, those people should be able to see the sight of Shelter 1005 sitting in a small basin. However, when he got there, the expressions of the six people changed.

In front of them, the sight of Shelter 1005 which now looked like a small village half destroyed was visible to the eyes.
