"What are you thinking!?" Percival pulled the collar of Antares' shirt, glaring at him sharply. "You want to die son of a bitch!?"
At first Antares' expression was still relaxed, but his gaze immediately turned cold after he heard his second sentence. Antares knows who he's dealing with, which is the meaning behind the word Percival. But just that, he felt anger start to boil in his heart.
"What do you know, Percival?" He said with a ketus.
"Son, do you realize who that kid is? Not only are you being impudent in front of him, you are even, you are even...! Argh!" Percival could not express the word to the boy.
"You don't know anything about Ren, so shut up! You think I'm a fool! You think I don't understand my position?! I understand everything! So hush!" reply Antares.
He knows his position. Whether it's a waitress, a dog, a tool, or just a toy, he understands all that. It was impossible for Antares to go against Ren's will, but the party that did control itself preferred to let him go free. Ren is not a god, he is just someone who has the power of a god equal, or maybe much stronger than that. But more than that, he was just an ordinary child. What do outsiders know about him? What right does an outsider have to govern him and his master? laughable.
"Oi, stop, stop. We're still at his house." Steve spoke with a gloomy face.
Hearing the grandfather's voice, Percival was finally able to temper his emotions. The same thing happened to Antares.
"More than that, he has another nickname, the god of misfortune. The reason he called you here, no, forget it..." Antares swallowed back the sentence he wanted to say.
The room suddenly turned gloomy and silent, until Ren came to break it. He gave some snacks on the table and also some kind of drink. It was unknown if he was being indifferent to the strangeness spreading in the air. Or did he not realize it at all. He opened another chip and ate it.
"Eat, don't be ashamed. Consider it your own home" he said with a smile like an angel.
"Thank you for the food" Percival said nervously.
Antares took his favorite drink, a soda with a little orange flavor, and drank it very slowly.
"Have started?" Ren looked at the large led screen attached to the wall.
"Have you seen another server?" Antares scrolls the list with strange names that are not few in number. He was surprised by all the names. As he remembered he could have entered another server, but Antares did not remember details about the mechanics of this perserver. That is, whether it is open in general or must enter RNG or similar codes.
"Whatever." Ren said as he chewed chips in his mouth.
He immediately picked up the black console on the table, then began to move his avatar.
Once again, the noise from the LED screen ruled the room. Until the time when Arthur who had changed his usual clothes came and called Percival and Steve. He watched the two children for a moment before coming back inside while rubbing his head with a towel.
The two remained silent until a while later. "You heard it too, right, Ren."
Ren was still focused on the screen in front of him, yet he did not hide the smile on his face. "You're a really good boy huh, Antares."
I want to rub her head and kiss her cheek! // the word is like radiating from Ren's face. And given how Ren's nature is, maybe that's what he thinks.
"Come, say~"
"Woof~woof"
Ren's smile grew wider with full attention to Antares. Until that point it looks scary!

When they arrived, everyone was already there. Stand with formal and full of politeness. Around a long table filled with dishes. Ren headed straight for the main seat, followed by Antares behind him.
"Everyone's been waiting apparently, sorry we're late."
"It's okay, we understand you want to enjoy your playing time." Replied the young man wearing plain white clothes and long pants with a gentle smile.
"Sit down then, and we'll start dinner tonight." Ren raised his hand in the air. "Are you guys surprised by Saga's cooking skills?"
"Not really, we often see him making small meals while doing quests. It also tastes good, even if using makeshift ingredients. Hehe." Arthia who had changed into a graceful dress smiled shyly.
"All right, I was surprised myself when I tasted Saga's first meal. I'm sure he used potatoes as the main ingredient back then-" Ren said slightly closing his eyes with his right hand on his chin.
"Ehem, I think you're remembering it wrong. Why don't we just start dinner?" Saga's mouth felt a great twitch.
"Hmm~ "Ren smiles mysteriously at Saga, then she shrugs her shoulders. "All right, all right, let's just get started."
Ren took out the Entree that had been prepared for him. He's not so picky about food as long as it tastes good.
The evening meal took place warmly with Saga opening up the subject. Know that Ren will stay quiet and enjoy the food. The question is more directed to Antares and Steve, about their experience during being a guard or daily in the village. That was because he already knew almost the ins and outs of the Crimson Vortex, including the nuclear code that was rarely known by the other male members. And of course, he wasn't stupid enough to ask about the goblin cave at midnight. That would leave a bitter taste in everyone's mouth, except Ren.
Ren would tell a story that kept jumping to and fro, making hot-blooded people like Percival split his head and look at it firsthand. While other members are divided between twitching to hold emotions or pensive because they stop listening. Like Thalia who chose to devour her food in silence, consider the story of Antares as BGM.
"Ah, so? I didn't know that rural life could be so much fun" Percival said with a forced smile that was very visible.
"No, it's because you hear it from the kids' perspective. Our lives are much heavier than that. We basically had to work when the sun came up and go home at sunset. We could only eat hard bread that tasted like earth. And always worried about monster attacks." Steve had enough difficulty giving a factual picture of what was happening on the pitch.
"It must be hard for you, grandfather." The one who tried to comfort him was precisely Antares with a comical 'mm-mm-mm' expression.
"Fuck." The low grouse slipped out of Steve's mouth without him noticing. "Ah, I'm sorry for the irreverence."
"No, I also want to convey the same curse as you. I totally understand." Percival tried to remove all the expressions from his face
"Honestly, I don't know which side to choose." Noril slightly shook his head which followed a nod by Samantha.
"Well, why don't we ask the venerable, the god of dreams?" Arthia chuckles.
"Hm, there's no need to be so formal with me. Just call me Ren. On that, I don't know either. Isn't the problem obvious, you guys are too weak to make your own choices." Ren smiled.
And for some reason, that smile was like piercing the deepest recesses of Steve and the Crimson Vortex party.
