Ch. 20 Clashes

It's gonna be dark soon. Crimson Vortex meets two other members who are conducting surveillance with Steve and Antares. Not to forget, they also brought a little food for Noril and Sigur. After the two finished eating, they again watched over the cave that became the goblin's nest.

Antares had not shown any ability, including the life stick in the storage which was a Demigod class item, and he hoped to never use it. No, if what those people said was true, then there would be no problem if Antares took out the item. After all, he can still ask for Ren's help if the enemy has a strong enemy approaching.

Far down there, one or two goblins would pass by every few moments. Showing a nest that is still filled with life activities. Hiiro said lightly, "We're lucky that the goblins didn't move the nest, after Saga showed her ability."

What Saga did before, is a variation of his talent usage. Normally he would envelop his entire sword with [Light of Dawn] and be used for deadly direct attacks. It was very effective when the enemy was only one, and was moving slowly.

While Saga was silent, Percival spoke up. "So we do plan A?"

Arthur was silent for a moment, then came out of hiding. "Yes, formation A. Let's go!"

As soon as Arthur gave his mark, Hiiro immediately raised his bow and subverted the two goblins that happened to pass in front of the cave. Arrows made of magical energy shot out rapidly in the air, hitting the heads of the goblins fiercely. The Crimson Vortex passed through the goblin's corpse moments after. Behind them, Steve and Antares followed in silence.

The smell of blood spreading into the air immediately awakens the vigilance on the other Goblins. As they looked towards the source of the smell, magical arrows, flying knives, and sharp slashes uprooted them one after another. The sound of screaming immediately echoed within the cave that was earthy to each other. Makes things even more chaotic.

The adventurers themselves were amazed by the number of goblins that were still very large, considering the number that died a moment ago was also not small.

First chamber... The entire goblin was killed in a matter of seconds.

Second room... Barbarian goblins are slaughtered in a single attack by Arthur.

Third room... Arthia froze the entire room with ice magic

Fourth chamber... Ren burned all the monsters with Firestorm.

Sixth room...

Seventh chamber...

Space to depth...

Room nine... Finally they arrived at the boss's room.

A familiar sight immediately reflected in the eyes of Crimson Vortex and Steve. With all the weapons directed at them. Antares himself swept his gaze the whole room. 100 levels 11+, 30 levels 21+, 17 25+, 10, 31+, 1 50+ those numbers briefly crossed Antares, 17, then he looked at the Orge subspecies who was sitting lazily on the throne.

"Oh, you guys back? Somewhat unexpected. So, are you ready to be my boys' dinner?" He said with a cruel grin adorning his face.

As a subspecies of Orge, its body is only 2'4 meters high. Resembling a thick muscular human with a light gray skin color. He has a pair of horns on his head that resemble one of the deer species, combined with dark white hair. He was wearing pants and a kind of hip protector made of animal skin.

"We will return home safely, after executing you, the lord of goblins!" Arthur raised his sword.

Percival thrust his spear into the ground, creating a spear of light that shot out from the ground. Behind him, Noril darted over with Samantha cutting off the Goblins standing in the front row with their techniques. While Arthur and Antares rained down on the troops with the AoE element of fire from the air. Not caring about them, Saga immediately charged towards the Orge subspecies. With sound (Bam!) large, dust puffs spread out in various directions.

"Krucoiekai!"

"Kriesokieve!"

After the chaos ended, the adventurers formed a large hole right in the middle of the goblin army. While Saga will duel with the Orge.

"[Summon: Guardians of Faith]." Tahlia activated her magic with a devout face, while the mana coming out of her body gathered into one in the air. Then a human-like creature made of wind was immediately created. It was a Greater Spirit of the Wind type. Furthermore Thalia used the [Bless] spell to improve everyone's abilities

"[Bless of Fairy Court]!" Arthia also activated her magic to strengthen everyone even more powerful.

"Oh, then I don't stay silent either, [Persona]!" Antares created 3 humanoid figures made of clumps of mana that resembled himself. Each of them were Saga, Arthur, and Percival that he had copied before. Although Antares can trust Saga, but not with the other members. So he had to hide almost his entire ability and only display what they already knew. That meant he could only use Firestorm and sword techniques, as he carried a sword.

"Hey, can you do something like that? Isn't that a bit scary?!" Hiiro gasped at the sight of the wisp of light. He would be much more frightened if he knew that they were replicas of his comrades.

"Ah, I can only make 4 shadows. So don't expect too much." Antares said without looking back.

"You always surprise us, boy!" Steve just grinned at the improvement in the boy's abilities.

"Well let's do it, [Cleave of Salvation]!" Percival streams mana in the form of light into his spear and then swings it in a flowing/horizontal motion. Roar after roar of goblins sounded after they were cut off by light waves. A variation technique of his talent, [Light of Salvation].

Arthur was the same, he activated his talent [Prometheus] and inflicted fatal damage to the Goblins.

And so did Antares and his three shadows. He only used [Firestorm] + [Mana Burst] and the lightning-fast movement left a mark resembling a spider web.

In the fight against the living creatures, Samantha's [Touch of Undead] and Noril's [Astral Form] were the deadliest weapons. Where every attack from Samantha would drain a great deal of life energy from her opponent. If the level difference between the two reached 10 points more, then Samantha could kill him in one strike even with just a small scratch. And the absorbed energy would be used by him, healing himself every time his attack landed.

Noril himself turned like a ghost that could not be touched. He can move freely in the midst of enemy forces like a fish in the ocean. Magic weapons were ineffective against him, including skills. Only special type magic and skills in the Demigod class are capable of harming him. Right now, the strongest person who had the ability to injure him was in a one-on-one duel with Saga. So, Noril went from being a quiet man to an angel of death who took his life like cutting grass.

Ah, Samantha and Noril's main weapon is the knife type.

Steve who was the weakest member was made difficult with the level of high-level goblins. So he had to stay in the middle of the formation and help from there. If the usual attack of the other members is able to cut off the Warrior goblin's arm, then Steve only gives a light wound. That is the real difference between the 21+ level and below.

And don't forget, Sigur. [Rage Enhancement] from the Barbarian class and the [Strom Herald] talent made it nothing more than a killing machine. There was almost no difference whether he was a war god who descended to earth or a bloodthirsty demon.

That way, the battle against the Goblin army officially began.
