Exactly seven days Amel came home from the hospital and today they are doing aqiqahan in the Orphanage where Amel grew up.

Aqiqah is the process of slaughtering animals on the seventh day after the baby is born as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT. Animals used for aqiqah are usually farm animals such as goats.

Doni's extended family attended the event. Including the Reza family, because Reza and Lira also held a qiqahan together for Inas. When the baby, Inas had not had time to heqiqah, so they immediately held it together.

The law of aqiqah will fall if the condition of his parents does not have the ability when the shari'a. Whereas if his parents were able when he was born, but he postponed the aqiqah until his son matured, then at that time his son still heqiqahi. Reza was materially capable, so they could hold an aqiqah for Inas.

Aqiqah originally became the burden of the father as the breadwinner. Aqiqah is paid from the father's property, not from the son's. No one else can perform the aqiqah other than through the permission of the father. (See Shahih Fiqih Sunnah, 2/382)

Akikah is one of the things that is expressed in Islam.

"Each child is pawned with his aqiqah slaughtered on the seventh day, shaved (his hair), and given a name." (CHR. Tirmidzi. 2735, Abu Dawud. 2527, Ibn Majah. 3165. This hadith is set aside by Al-Albani in al-Irwa' no. 1165)"

Because the children of Reza and Doni are foragers, so each of them prepares a goat for their daughter who will later be slaughtered and cooked to be distributed to the poor.

Previously, Reza had contacted Doni to be able to hold an aqiqahan together at the Orphanage that had been chosen by Amel, Doni's wife and it was welcomed by Doni and his family. Amel deliberately chose Orphanage where he grew up because Amel wanted to share his happiness with his mother and sisters in the orphanage. Living as an orphan, makes the children of the home never experience or feel what the procession of aqiqah is done.

The clear sky that morning also seemed to pray for the two children who were being qiqah. The aqiqahan event took place solemnly accompanied by prayers from some famous ustadz of the capital who were deliberately invited to pray for their little daughter.

The Amel sisters were very happy because their place became crowded. The presence of new members in the Sigit family makes them feel the same happiness as Amel and Doni feel.

Doni's family wears a Muslim uniform in lavender purple. Riri, the tiny baby also wears a funny robe designed specifically for babies with matching colors like those worn by parents and grandparents.
