At eight in the morning, Bela, accompanied by her husband and son, came to visit the Lira's house. The plan, today they will reminisce to a place that was once a silent witness to the beginning of their friendship story begins.
Bela went into the house and said hello. Bela has considered the Lira house like her own home because since childhood, she has often come to visit and accompany Lira to sell in the market or around the village. So, he does not have to wait for the door to be opened by the homeowner.
"Darling, sure you want to bring this many snacks?"
Reza was astonished by the behavior of his wife who was so enthusiastic about preparing all their impromptu picnic needs. Yes, Reza called it an impromptu picnic because initially they only wanted to visit a place full of memories for Lira and Bela, now suddenly became a family picnic. The idea suddenly emerged from the mind of Lira who was eager to feel what a picnic felt like. All her life, Lira has never felt what it is like to sit with her family and friends on an excursion while enjoying food that has been prepared from home. Although the place they visited later was not a sightseeing place, but Lira was already very happy.
Hearing the simple reason of his wife, of course as a husband who wants to see his wife happy, Reza is happy to make it all happen. Reza also released his wife to determine the menu of food and snacks they would bring for a picnic later. But on condition, Lira is strictly prohibited from cooking or making snacks. He was only allowed to help prepare light things, such as arranging fruits into baskets.
All three of their parents just shook their heads looking at Reza's possessive attitude that was becoming more and more. However, they also feel happy because Reza loves his family so much.
"Yakin dong, my. We're going to have a picnic." Sahut Lira enthusiastic.
"Mas, this is drinking water has not been entered yet?" Continue while packing cutlery into the basket with the help of Bela.
"Udah, baby."
Then came Inas from the living room along with Farel, the son of Bela while holding a large chocolate bar with a famous brand, which he took directly from the grocery store owned by his grandmother.
"Papa, want some boyeh?" Inas asked with an adorable face while showing a chocolate bar in his grasp.
"Sister, where'd the chocolate come from, dear?" Reza asked while crouching in front of her daughter.
Instead of answering her daughter's question, Reza asked with a confused face. Reza strictly forbids his daughter from eating chocolate excessively. He has also reminded his wife and three parents not to give Inas chocolate or anything related to foods that contain preservatives. However, now the chocolate was in the grasp of his daughter. Who would have dared to give the chocolate to his beloved daughter? Inner Reza.
"Dali walung granny." Answer innocently.
Bela and her husband, could only remain silent when they saw Reza's angry face. Lira immediately stopped her husband's steps when she wanted to head to the side door that was connected to the grocery store warehouse. Lira knows, surely Reza wants to scold the store employees for being careless to let Inas take the chocolate.
"Mas Istighafar atuh, don't get angry like that. It could be, it was the brother who took his own chocolate." Say Lira softly.
Reza immediately exhaled his coarse breath. If only Lira did not remind him, it could be that the store employee will be exposed to his tantrums.
"Sorry, sweetheart. I almost got a kebablasan." Sahut and immediately beristighfar while rubbing his chest.
"Sister, can't eat chocolate yet. It's morning, baby. My stomach will hurt." Continue Reza, give understanding to his favorite daughter.
"Yes, papa." Answer obeys.
Reza smiled and then kissed the two cheeks of his daughter who was so obedient and never denied every word.

The distance of their destination with the Lira's house, not so far away. Only about 10 minutes by car, they have arrived at a fairly large rice field and there is a wide gazebo made of bamboo with wooden poles that are quite large.
The rice field used to belong to Bela's cousin, but because his cousin was in need of a fee for his son's college in Jakarta, eventually forced the rice field was sold to Bela's other cousins.
Before they decided to have an impromptu picnic in the paddy field, Bela had first met his cousin for permission to have a picnic in the rice fields and sit in the gazebo without a wall in the middle of the rice fields. Bela's cousin would gladly allow it. Especially fitting to know if Lira also participated in the picnic. Almost all of the Bela family knew the Lira well. Because since childhood if there is an event or party, Bela always invites Lira to his home.
Lira and Bela look very happy when they arrive at a place that holds many of their fond memories. After a long time, finally Lira and Bela can return to the place that became the history of the beginning of their friendship.
Reza held Inas, while Arman's husband Bela carried Farel. The two husbands could only smile when they saw their two wives being happy with their world.
"Mau tulun, papa. Want to cama mama."
Inas thrashed to get down from his father's sling. The cute boy, wanting to join his mother who was sitting with Bela, enjoyed his childhood on the edge of the rice field that felt cool.
"Can't, baby. Same brother, yes, here. There is Abang Farel."
"Ndon't want to, papa. Want to cama mama."
This time Inas did not want to comply. Inas was like wondering what it was like to sit on the edge of the rice field.
"Darling, come with papa over there yuk. To the place of grandma and grandpa. We sit there and we eat snacks made by the mother, how?"
"Yes, papa."
Reza immediately carried Inas towards the gazebo. There have been three parents who look very enjoy the cool and peaceful atmosphere in the rice field.
Not to forget the mats were held and food and snacks were served with warm drinks stored in a thermos that was large enough.
While waiting for the food that is being arranged by Irma and Indah, Reza and Arman tell a lot about Bela and Lira's childhood that is little known by Arman. Reza listened to everything carefully.
"According to Bela's story, this rice field used to be the place where the two of them met. Back when he was a kid, Bela used to play here with his other cousins. At that time, Lira was looking for snails to serve as a side dish. Bela saw Lira then invited her to play and Bela helped Lira find snails. From then on, they became close as friends. Bela always accompany Lira to sell or whatever it is when Lira is looking for money. The fate of the little Lira is not as lucky as Bela who lives all well, but Lira never complains about her condition.
"Bela also told me, since childhood Lira never had much time to play with her friends, because Lira had to help her parents make money. Sometimes, Bela who felt sorry and sad to see the small body of Lira who had to carry a sack that was heavy enough to sell to the market while walking barefoot. Bela often offers help, but Lira subtly rejects him on the grounds that Lira is more than happy to make money from her own sweat. From then on, Bela always accompanied wherever Lira went." Arman said as he looked at his laughing wife with his best friend, Lira.
Reza's heart was squeezed, painful and sore. Although he had often heard stories about his wife's childhood that was so heartbreaking, but still he felt heartache and felt like crying while holding the tiny body of Lira.
Reza imagined, what was it like to eat snails as a side dish of rice? For some people, must feel amused and disgusted when they see the slimy animal walking. But not for Lira and her family, they consider snails as a blessing. When they do not have money, snails will be their side dishes.
Reza turned to look at his mother-in-law who looked shady, then Reza turned back to his wife who was still at home sitting on the edge of the rice field while laughing with Bela. I don't know what they are talking about so much that they can laugh so crisply regardless of the astonished gazes of their parents.
