“Imah, please buy a candle at the store” cried Mother. I was busy doing schoolwork in the room, suddenly approached Mom in a hurry.
From this afternoon, the electricity in my house died until the sun almost went down. There is a lot of school work to be done.
“Riwueh! Electricity dies” lamented me while taking the money given by Mother to buy candles.
“Eh, Imah can't complain like that. God does not like his servant to give up his advice, Mother, lifting my index finger as a signal. I nodded resignedly then, putting both hands on the ears, one leg raised and a mouth that had to read Istighfar 33 times. Unify Mother?. Such is the custom, if I make a mistake but, make me stop to not repeat it in front of Mom.
After carrying out the punishment, I immediately rushed away due to the almost dark weather. Don't forget I shook Mom's hand and said hello.
“Kok, so scared!” I murmured while thinking doubtfully. But because, the cry of Mother who told me to quickly leave, I had to step foot heavily
When looking at the almost dark and silent streets make strange thoughts float in the brain but I trim it by trying to calm down and continue to step foot. My eyes stared warily at things around me and my mouth did not stop muttering, whether reading what? the important thing in the heart is to ask for protection from the devil who cursed.
I sped up my footsteps when I saw a banana midrib like a black shadow and a woman who had just come home from the paddy fields looking like a kuntilanak for carrying a white sack larger than her body.
“Why when it's dark everything looks like satan” I thought. Fortunately, the store was not too far from my home so, it didn't take long for me to see the shadow of the store.
“dark it makes restless” I said when I got to the store. I held my knees while adjusting the breath that was left behind in that place.
“Assalamu’alaikum” seruku but no one answered. I was increasingly disturbed by strange hallucinations because it was so quiet, plus minimal lighting because it only used a candle that was almost dim because of the wind that hit. This atmosphere makes me feel like I'm in a horror movie.
“Uncle!” my voice raised.
“Halo, anyone”. I still haven't given up.
“Uncle!” say again. I repeatedly called the store seller but, only a silent hiss I got. I also sat in that place.
Just a few steps away, the silent atmosphere was instantly broken by the voice of someone who surprised me. The sound came from inside the shop.
“Eh wait! What do you want to buy, son?. Sorry for making you wait a long time, I was praying Maghrib was” said a shop seller.
I canceled my intention to go home and approached the seller and asked.
“There is a candle?” I'm a little upset.
“Aduh Nak, the candle is up”.
I snorted annoyedly at the man's reply and without saying a greeting, I left from a place that sucks my heart.
“It seems dark not to like me while I do not like it” I get upset while clenching my hands.
Looking at the streets that were already very dark, made my hair stand up.
“Alright, drama home will be more exciting” resigned me then run as fast as possible while closing my eyes so scared.
Bruuuk…
“Upssss... Who did I hit?” I thought while opening my eyes.
“Aaaaa..” shouted.
