A Bunch of Horror Stories
episode 47 (ghost train)

The honey-brown unraveling youth had been waiting for more than an hour. The train that was scheduled to arrive at nine o'clock fifteen minutes was not on time. His two beads of eyes moved anxiously watching around. The atmosphere is completely quiet. He felt like the only passenger waiting for the next train. He snorted angrily and sat himself on the red waiting bench that had been idle since. He hid his hands from the cold night air inside his jacket pocket.

“What was the train stuck in the middle of the road” grumbled the dark chocolate-sliced youth followed by disappointment. He tilted his head slightly to look at the clearly unbelievable schedule. The air is getting hostile. The train is not coming. The young man repeatedly tightened the baseball jacket that wrapped around his body.

“Cold” murmured almost inaudible. Both of his legs wrapped in canvas shoes were constantly moving up and down hit the brownish ground. He did it deliberately to reduce the silence.

TUT! TUT! the sound of the train was heard from a distance. With excitement the young man got up and ran closer to the edge of the rail. The big thing slowly stopped and one of the doors opened. The young man moved his feet nimbly into the carriage that had made him wait. He stepped in to find an empty seat. This time there were not too many passengers so he was free to choose where to sit.

An empty seat next to a sleeping girl was the young man's choice. He put himself as carefully as possible. He did not want one of his luggage to nudge his sitting friend and wake his sitting friend from his sleep.

Something was shaking from inside his pants pocket. Rushing he grabbed the object called the phone and pressed one part of his screen.

“Halo?”

“Sehun-ah, why haven't you reached the house so late? You're okay, right?” ask the voice across there that is very familiar in the ears of the young man named Oh Sehun's birth

"Slowness” Sehun instantly silenced his mouth. He turned his head, hoping that his loud voice accidentally did not make his sitting friend wake up, “Slow train” said slowly. He heard a voice from across that seemed to sigh in relief.

“So you're still at the station?”

“I'm already in the car. In half an hour I'll be up to” Sehun replied preventing worries.

“O-oh, you know I worry about you a lot.”.

“Wah I'm flattered” says Sehun sarcasm. Mom clucked across there before deciding on a call.

Sehun put the green silicone thing back in his pants pocket. He sighed as he loosened a bit of the baseball jacket that wrapped him up. The train is not as cold as the station. He took both of his hazel-eye bulbs out the window. Nothing interesting. All he saw was the darkness of the night. He lowered his view. Right now what he saw was the look on the face of the dark black haired girl who was sleeping peacefully. He smiles.

Beautiful – one word that comes to the mind of this chocolate-flavored bubble tea fan. Hurriedly he turned his face and looked straight ahead. He shook slowly.

he snapped his fingers and pulled out the earphones from his bag. While the phone plays the most played songs, it closes its eyes and rests the back of its head on the top of the seat.

After a long time the direction of the train is only straight and straight, when the train turns to the right of all passengers without exception like being interested to the right. Sehun who had not really slept was opened his eyes again and saw the head of his sitting friend was attached to his left arm. Must be because of the turn.

Not intending to wake up, Sehun let the girl lean on his arm. Blinks. Blinks. Blink again. The young man felt something strange. It was like seeing blood. Again he noticed the state of his sitting friend who had been sleeping this. He was wearing a long-sleeved, dark yellow t-shirt and knee-length brown jeans.

“Pi – Pi – Knife” Sehun choked. Both of his eyes were perfectly rounded. His heart beats faster. His body suddenly pumped blood too fast. His body stiffened. After gathering courage, Sehun tried to wake up the sitting friend, hoping that this was only a small part of his imagination.

No answer at all. The girl was not awake either. Sehun panicked. The blood that he thought was just the motive for the shirt now seems so real. Sourced from one part of his stomach that was drawn by a knife. Sehun swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. His throat felt so dry. Slowly he let go of his earphones and focused on his sitting friend who seemed to be a murder victim. How ironic.

Sehun tried to gulp his saliva which stayed a little. One of his hands tried to pull the hair of the figure next to him. His face was completely pale. It seems like it's been happening long enough. His blood did not flow either, but a lot of blood was spilled on the seat, stuck to the body of the carriage and also the pants on the left of this girl. As much as possible Sehun set his breath.

“Nona...” muttered Sehun scared mixed confused. He wanted to tell the whole train that there had been a murder. However, his heart said not because it would be high risk if he was accused of murder. Once again Sehun swallowed his hard-earned saliva.

Something again vibrated in his pants pocket. Sehun had absolutely no power to answer the call. His whole body was stiff. Totally stiff with a corpse leaning against his arm. After being left for a long time, the phone stopped shaking. Sehun's mind was chaotic. Two pieces of advice raged in his little heart. On the other hand, he also did not have to linger with a corpse. As pretty as that corpse.

Slowly Sehun moved the head from his arm. He breathed in in search of strength. After gathering enough courage, Sehun stood up to ask for help from the passengers sitting on his front row.

“Pe-excuse me. Sorry to interrupt, since when did you sit here? Looks like there's just been a murder here.” Sehun explained stammering. The fat-bodied passenger who was spoken to did not respond at all. Blood rippled rapidly in rhythm with the atmosphere turning gripping.

“Permi–” Sehun crashed far enough and hit the seat. The fat man had red irises and blazing like a demon. Sehun's mind started to be ungodly.

“She got the wrong train and ended up being killed tragically” so the slanted-eyed girl's statement in a reassuring tone.

“I heard that anyone who enters in it will never be able to come out again” one of the youths added with a sharp eye highlight as if threatening his listeners.

The thick-eyed man walked closer to Sehun. Sehun tried to retreat and continued to retreat. The two big hands of the man in the hat wrapped around Sehun's neck and the two thumbs of the devil-eyed man were used to press against Sehun's junkyard. Slowly but surely he continued to press his neck until only the tightness felt Sehun at that time.

"God always takes care of you, son. Pray, and God will show His greatness. Even though you're far away, Mother's prayers continue to accompany your steps. School is right and graduate as the best graduate.Mom is waiting for you three more years” so Mother's message when sending Sehun who wants to continue high school education in the city. That was exactly three years ago after graduating from junior high school. I don't feel tears just dripping. All he felt right now was pain as the devil-eyed man continued to put pressure on his neck. It's getting breathless. As much as possible he prayed according to his mother's message. He was sure God would save him.

“Ya Tu–han, to–long–lah me – lin–dive – I–Mother – Dad – d–dan my family in de–sa… bi–la this mem–mang end of pengab–dianku – in –”

ARGH – Sehun moaning in pain. His face is blushing. It was not strong anymore, but he still complained to God and hoped for God's help.

“in du–nia – lin–dungilah – people – people who – men–cin–taiku – and kucin–tai..” clear particles from Sehun's eyes drip and fall on the lower surface of the train.

DUAR – na’as, the train was out of line and rolled and caused sparks.

Sehun opened his eyes slowly. He found dozens of pairs of perfectly wide eyes. Suddenly one of them hugged Sehun's limp body on the bed of the emergency unit. Ibu – muttered Sehun with a bitter voice like stuck in the esophagus.

“It's a miracle..” dozens of pairs of other eyes turned towards the man in white and glasses with sparkling eyes.

“You are safe, son..” Mother tightened her embrace. Sehun. Congraday? Blinks. Blinks. Blink again.

The devil-eyed man? The yellow girl with the knife in the stomach? Ghost train?

“Ke–tanya..” muttered Sehun.

“The train that carried you rolled over and exploded. Of the many passengers, you are the only one who when found still has a life expectancy even if a little.” said a beautiful-eyed young man named Luhan. Luhan is Sehun's elder brother.

“Phantom train. I'm riding the ghost train!” sehun.

“Ghost train?”

“YA! I saw the devil-eyed man and the knife-pierced girl. I was strangled by that devil-eyed man. I thought I was going to die and–” Sehun did not continue his story. He suddenly forgot what had happened after he was strangled and prayed.

“It's just a bullshit story. Ghost train is only the imagination of the writer who likes to find sensation” Baekhyun chimed in. He is Sehun's cousin who is also a prolific writer who has spawned several fiction books themed life struggles.

“No. That's not a bullshit story. I was really stuck there and.. I actually saw everything” Sehun spoke for what it was. Breath hunting.

“Already, it doesn't matter. The important thing is that now you are safe and I really love you.” Mother hugged Sehun tightly again. Sehun smiled wryly. He was disappointed that no one believed his words.

“Bu, I want to sit” muttered Sehun. She helped make Sehun sit down. It's a painful moment for everyone. Sehun who was intending to move his ankle felt something stuck. There was a blanket that had been stretched all over his legs to his waist.

When the blanket was no longer in position, both eyeballs and Sehun's lips rounded. Mom swallowed heavy.

“The injury on your leg is too severe that you have to be amputated.” Luhan said trying hard.

Sehun closed back the quite heart-wrenching sight with his blanket. He looked at the mother who was crying and saw her legs which were now only one and a half left because her left leg had been amputated.

“I'm fine. All I lost was one leg. I have no problem losing my legs even once. As long as I don't lose all of you..” said Sehun sounding very tough. He didn't even look sad at all. Quite the contrary. He smiled with sparkling eyes.

Luhan and Baekhyun exchanged lyrics.

“Sehun my son..” Mother hugged Sehun again followed by all who were in the room. Sehun received tremendous help from God thanks to his unbroken prayers. Though bitter, life without one leg…

“It would be more bitter to live without the affection of a person who loves me like this, Sehun's inner” is still in a position embraced by a large family who are so worried about him.
