Arkhan's heart race weakened instantly, his body trembling. He only realized that he had allowed his car to stay still for quite a while when several times he heard a simple horn. The car behind looked impatient. I don't know when the red light has turned green.
“Mas, the car is on! Sleepy huh, Mas?” exclaims the biker passing by his side.
Arkhan barely understood what was happening around him due to his suddenly chaotic thoughts. He went back to running the car with an erratic feeling.
Zalfa can't be saved? This was Arkhan's first day as a father, but why did God change his circumstances? Arkhan really doesn't want to see Zalfa right now. He did not want to see Zalfa in a rigid oblong state.
Arkhan ran towards the river bank. His chest rose and fell along with his breath that was panting after running quite a distance. His car was parked on the side of the road far from where it now stands. His bead eyes pushyly stared up, the sky bright. Not a single hint of black clouds covered the blue sky.
Arkhan shouted out loud. His voice echoed. Nature seems to hold that voice. He wants to take off the burden that runs in his mind. His feelings had completely gone awry now. When she felt such deep love, she left him.
“God, why did you take one life from my side after you gave one life to my side? I left Zalfa believing in one thing, that if I stepped towards goodness it would also bring good. I'm sure Your Destiny is also good for me. One of my convictions is so unanimous that You are truly All-Good that I don't have to worry about the possibility. But what is this?” Both Arkhan's hands clenched, his beads twitching at the surface of the sky. In his head were the words of Zalfa.
“That god is very close, even closer to the neck vein. Believe this, then ask God whatever it is. Trust me, God will show His greatness. When you believe in God, of course you will also believe in all the commands, prohibitions and life after death written in the holy verses.”
“Really? Do you really exist?” Arkhan shouted looking up at the sky. “Is nature really Your creation? Are You Really Big? Is man really Your creation? Including myself this is your creation?” Arkhan smiled sinisterly as he looked at the clear sky, then he again exclaimed, “Is this the destiny of You? Show Your Power. Get the rain down now!”
At that instant, white lightning appeared and struck the upright tree not far from Arkhan standing until the tree split and fell, partly charred.
Arkhan took two steps back staring in astonishment at the tree that had been scorched. His body trembled in fear seeing the tree that had been fresh green, now in a lying position and blackened.
Arkhan felt his body tremble. The fear is getting worse. His heart raced fast. Cold sweat poured out on his body. There was a lot of fear going on inside him. In my heart, Arkhan resigned. He felt that he had resisted God with his attitude until the Power of God was really shown to him. If only the next second lightning struck him and he became charred like the tree he saw, he resigned.
Arkhan's head was again filled with Zalfa's words.
“Even if you exceed your limits, do not despair of reaching for His love. He is forgiving and Most Merciful. Every child of Adam must have committed sins, both big and small, even big visible sins, but God forgave all sins on the condition of repentance. Face God even with a mountain of sins! If we repent, our sins will melt away. There are many glorious verses that proclaim that God will forgive the sins of the repentant.”
Arkhan dropped his knee to the ground. His lips whispered as his forehead had also touched the ground, regretting the blackened prejudice in his heart. “Laa illa ha ilallah.”.
