Arriving home, Zalfa sauntered up the stairs, but his steps came to a halt in the middle of the stairs when he heard someone calling his name. He looked down and found Elijah standing there.
“Sister Zalfa, I want to learn to paint now,” cried Elijah with a thin smile. His face looked up to catch Zalfa's face above.
Zalfa turned his head towards Arkhan who was standing by his side. The man looked at Zalfa as if he knew the meaning of Zalfa's gaze asking for an opinion. Then he said, “Fill Elijah's request, he can bite you if rejected continuously.”
Elijah glared his eyes at Arkhan's speech, but Arkhan did not see Elijah's expression because Arkhan's eyes were now fixed on Zalfa's face.
“Go to the lower room, where to study there!” arkhan's Order.
Zalfa nodded but then his gaze was fixed on the shopping items in his hands. “Can I ask for help?”
Arkhan raised his chin as a gesture asking what he could do to help Zalfa.
“Bawain this groceries to the room,” said Zalfa while showing the groceries in his hand.
Arkhan's bead moved to the paper bag in Zalfa's hand.
“Eh... Yes already let me just bring it to the top.” Zalfa suddenly felt bad for having ruled her husband.
Arkhan pulled Zalfa's arm as the woman twisted her body about to step upwards. The man took over the groceries in Zalfa's hands then sauntered her into the upper room.
Zalfa smiled faintly at Arkhan's departure.
Zalfa smiled at Elijah's annoyance, rushed down the stairs and followed Elijah to a room.
Zalfa was greeted with a unique view upon entering the room. So many paintings with themes of natural scenery, animals and the ocean. Zalfa smilingly observed some of the images displayed on the wall. The image still needs to be corrected because it looks imperfect. Technically, Elijah has got it.
“What is my painting ugly?” Elijah asked as he looked at Zalfa's face facing the painting.
Zalfa shook his head with a smile. “Good. But I'll help your painting to look like real.”
“Asik.”
Zalfa asked Elijah to prepare painting equipment, namely watercolors, a set of brushes, and white cloth. He then began to teach Elijah to paint. Not only the theory that he taught, meliankan also painting techniques. Both shading, forming dark and light, ways to make the image look different between far and near, and many other things. Fortunately, Elijah was so quick to catch what he was teaching that it didn't take much time for Zalfa to explain. Zalfa practiced painting on his sheets, and Elijah also practiced it on different sheets. The results were amazing, Elijah was able to imitate what Zalfa practiced. Not in vain did Zalfa's mouth froth teach Elijah the technique of painting.
“You understand?” Ask Zalfa when the painting is finished and the results are satisfactory.
“I understand. But I will often ask you to teach me so that my work is satisfactory,” replied Elijah was proud of the painting. He did not get tired of looking at his painting which turned out to be very beautiful.
“You love to paint, does your brother not have the same hobby as you?”
“Neg. He's a hobby of earning money.” Elijah's eyes were still focused on his painting.
