At a clinic, Arkhan sat in the waiting chair impatiently. There was no longer a thick mustache that adorned his lips. No more hats on his head. His rough breathing, his occasional hand rubbing his face, as well as his back and forth standing and sitting, showed how impatient he was waiting for the results of Zalfa's examination in the room.
“What is a doctor checking? Long time!” Arkhan grumbled impatiently. His legs continued to move, showing his impatience.
“The name is also a kandugan check, definitely long.” Someone snuck on Arkhan's side.
Hearing the curse, Arkhan turned his head, looking at the woman commenting on his words. Damn, how dare he answer. Arkhan did not need anyone's comment on his grumbling. It seemed like Arkhan was talking with a small volume, but it was also heard by the figure sitting by his side.
“Again wife, right?” ask the woman.
Arkhan gave a small nod, then turned and focused on his thoughts.
“Why not go inside?” ask the woman again.
Why is the woman by his side so cute? Arkhan scratched his non-itchy caruk.
“Aren't you expected by your husband?” Arkhan asked.
“My husband is there, kok.”
“Where is he? Why not near you?”
“She's on the toilet.”
What is it like to be interrogated by a stranger? Arkhan's intentional counterattacking with interrogation is not important. But unlike Arkhan expected, instead of being annoyed, the woman smiled instead.
Arkhan lazily responded, he turned back.
A couple of couples filled the room, waiting patiently. Most of her mothers are already pregnant.
Shortly after, Zalfa came out. The clink of the bell rang and a loudspeaker called out the next list of patients.
Arkhan stood up to greet Zalfa. “How?” tanyanya expectantly.
“Zalfa, I asked and you didn't answer.” Arkhan touched Zalfa's arm.
“I'm sorry, Mas Arkhan. Me...”
“You are innocent and you apologize to me. Don't say that again!” cut Arkhan looked panicked. Zalfa's moody expression made Arkhan guess the answer to his own question. Just to hear Zalfa's explanation, he must first have an inner war. Zalfa even spoke ngalor ngidul. “I need an answer, Zalfa!”
“I think if it's too late coming months is a sign for women that I'm pregnant. But the doctor said it could happen to women who are stressed. You don't be disappointed, the doctor said I was late for the month, and said I was pregnant.”
Arkhan was shocked to hear the words at the end of Zalfa's sentence. At first Zalfa deliberately made a statement to herd Arkhan's thoughts as if Zalfa was not pregnant, but in the end it was quite surprising.
“So..”.
Arkhan's words were interrupted as Zalfa scattered and directly hugged Arkhan's body tightly.
“I'm pregnant, Mas Arkhan,” whispered Zalfa in Arkhan's ear.
Arkhan hugged Zalfa. He put his face on the woman's shoulder. His heart suddenly felt cold, the news that Zalfa delivered somehow presented a different taste in him. A hope that was once planted while waiting for the baby, is now again created in his mind. But that hope felt bigger than he had felt before.
“I'm pregnant. I pregnant. Finally our wait is realized also.” Zalfa's voice trembled, he was moved and wanted to cry. But no, Zalfa did not want to cry. He just wants to smile.
Arkhan took off a hug, staring intensely at Zalfa. The smile on Zalfa's face left him stunned for a moment. His forehead frowned and then he said, “Ooh.... So you purposely pranked me?” He showed a happy mixed expression.
Zalfa chuckled as she felt she had succeeded in fighting Arkhan.
“Sorry.” Zalfa raised the two to be a sign of peace. I don't know why he's a hobby for Arkhan.
