A Shark of Longing

Andini's mother, along with a man, stood in front of the entrance to the restaurant, staring at David and Rena. Andini's mother did not seem surprised to see David and Rena. However, Rena can capture a flash of longing from the gaze of Mother Andini.

David's face immediately turned cold.

"David, how you doing, son?" andini's mother greeted David and did not take her eyes off David's face.

David did not answer the greeting from Mother Andini and immediately walked past her.

"Mom Andini," said Rena as she looked towards Mother Andini and the man beside her.

Andini's mother nodded and let Rena follow David.

David immediately unlocked the car and was about to go straight into the car still with a cold and flat face.

"Let me take the car. I, I want to try it," said Rena deliberately wanted to give David time to calm down and he immediately took the car keys in David's hands.

Rena got into the car and sat in the driver's seat.

David without saying anything - what immediately sat in the passenger seat and quietly did not speak during the trip home in Rena's apartment.

"Whoa, stop by first let me make you some coffee," Rena bargained. He didn't want David to drive the car in such circumstances. Looks like his meeting with Mother Andini was quite disturbing. David nodded and followed Rena into the apartment building.

Rena made David's favorite black coffee and put it on the table. And he sat beside her.

"At the drink, Yang" said Rena while watching David leaning his back against the sofa back and raising his head. It was like he was thinking something.

"Ren," call David to arrive.

"There's something I want to tell you" David said, staring at Rena.

"What's wrong? Can you tell me?" asked Rena while sitting sideways leaning her shoulders on the back of the sofa.

"You remember when I said my mom left us?" david asked nervously and Rena nodded.

"My mother was actually still alive, and she married someone else, after my father died" David said.

David's eyes began to pucker up and Rena clasped her hands to strengthen her. Rena had heard this from Audrey, but she chose to listen to David's story and let David put out what he had been waiting for.

"And tonight I met him" David said, taking a deep breath and exhaling.

"Your mom... Andini's mother?" ask Rena slowly.

"Where do you know?" ask David.

"I saw it in this photo" Rena said, taking out the photo Opa and Oma gave to David from her bag.

"I recognize him. This is Andini's mother. Pt Director. HUBB," said Rena while pointing at the face of Mamah David in the photo in her hand.

"Yes, she is my Mama" David said, taking a photo in Rena's hand and looking at her just before putting her on the table. Rena could see a streak of longing in David's eyes that was directly on the edge.

"Why don't you greet him? She looks so missed you?" ask Rena

"Because I hate him so much, Ren!" David said in deep. His eyes revealed pent-up anger for many years.

Although Rena saw a longing in David's eyes, she could also see that David still harbored a deep heartache.

"Yes, but she's your mother. Whatever mistake he made. I'm sure he has a reason to do that" Rena said.

"No Ren! You'll never understand!" David said with emotion.

"You don't know how I begged him not to leave us that night! I'm really begging him, Ren!" David said with emotion.
