VRMMO | Terris Story: Someone "Them"
04:A.Starting Village, Combat Training Field

Linneas.

. . . No, her current self is Elcia.

Feeling uncomfortable because of the existence of her Irregular Skill, Elcia got up from sitting down and decided to go around with Alice. After all, both of them felt this was an opportunity to feel the fantasy world as satisfied as possible; as well as familiarize themselves with the world they had just entered.

And throughout the two girls' steps, as well as as far as their eyes could see, a thick feel of 'the world that shouldn't' could be clearly felt from the village.

Therefore, wherever Elcia looked, she happily looked with curious eyes. And because she was used to it in the real world, she could not see the eyes of those who were on her; while Alice supported her forehead all the way with a flat face in shame.

In the place itself, the houses they saw were uniquely fused with the ground, and it could be said that artificial holes filled the small hills. While people look like children because of their height; unless they see from their faces.

Nave Village, where they are currently located is one of the neutral areas that are not bound by a power.

Protected from the outside world thanks to the Basmael Mountains, this place was home to Halflings for decades according to Terris history. Even so, the population of this place itself is not so much, which can be seen from the typical houses of the Halfling nation that are far apart and far from the word solid.

"Mr. . ." Elcia suddenly narrowed her eyes, as she went around she finally realized one thing.

The players were not so different from the NPCs; who were also called the Terrian people, because if not for the Common Traveler Set, as well as a green mark that appeared as Linnea stared fixedly at a player, she said, distinguishing the two is actually very difficult.

"They, too, have a life of their own?" alice said while taking a look around her. The two return to find a reality where even the Terrian people buy something for themselves.

"This, their world. . ."

Even if in reality this place was just a data, Elcia thought something like this was a fully living world.

'But. . , what Halfling race is less glimpsed?' thought Elcia, wondering in wonder.

In fact, the number of players he encountered in Nave village was no more than the Terrian people in this place.

However, there was one thing that Elcia did not know; the starting point that players used to start the game was always random. The purpose of it is to prevent the concentration of player density that is centered on certain places.

That way, even if a player chose the Halfling race, he would not necessarily start in the Nave village like the two of them. And therefore, the player that Elcia saw was very little —without forgetting if players other than the Halfling race would not be able to start in this village, which was also still included the first day the game was released.

Back at Elcia who did not know all that; she finally sighed as she felt her chosen race was not so popular.

Feeling a little regretful about her race choice, Elcia tried to forget that by turning her gaze around.

But the next second, Elcia immediately found her gaze fixated on a place in front of her. ". . . Place, this?"

A large fenced field, filled with straw dolls and arrow-shot targets; with a board hanging from the side of the roadside.

「Combat Training Field」

Interested in what they saw, Alice and Elcia immediately went closer to the place.

—The sound of the pull of the bowstring together with the lesion of the arrow. . , the swing of the sword that cut through the air. . , or the sound of a straw doll pierced by a spear immediately caught by the ears of both.

Looking closely, Elcia was instantly amazed by the abilities of the people who were training in the Combat Training Field. Which is actually not surprising, because it is mostly filled by Terrian people who already have Skills and experience.

Seeing all that, the two became interested in trying something there.

But the problem was, neither Alice nor Elcia had a single weapon in her current position.

Traveler Bag that became the initial equipment was not expected, with only a few currency coins whose overall value was 1000 Rea. Where they don't even know how much it is.

Knowing their current state, the two ended up sighing simultaneously.

"Should have been, before this we went to look for weapons first huh. . ?" alice said while twitching her forehead, feeling stupid.

"General, agree. . ."

". . . How else, I forgot we were beginners."

"Um. . , there's a Blacksmith shop, before."

Lucky or not, Elcia recalled that she had caught a glimpse of one forging spot in this village, and it was certain that it had some weapons they needed.

"Then, come on."

And that way, both of them decided to go towards the forging place earlier.

But not yet had time to turn around leaving the place, someone called them. "Dae. . ! Silver twins there. . !"

Searching for the source of the voice, the two soon found an old Halfling with a long beard hanging up to his stomach. Which appearance had made both of them think that the person was someone from the dwarf nation —Dwarf.

"Yes! guys, comehere!" call again.

But knowing that they were the ones called, Elcia immediately took a step and took cover behind Alice's back.

"Um. . , Alice. . ?"

Alice, who found herself being used by Elcia as a shield, scratched her head along with a thread. "Huh. . . Let's get closer, we're called anyway." said Alice later, holding Elcia's hand.

Approaching the person who called them, Alice immediately asked without any need for further ado. "What's wrong?"

Meanwhile, Elcia secretly placed her on the Halfling figure in front of them. And after a while, a white Diamond ( ♦ ) symbol appeared, indicating that he was a Terrian. Knowing this, Elcia eventually turned quiet without realizing it herself, and stopped taking cover behind Alice's back.

On the other hand, finding Alice's slightly cold nature, not the slightest hint of annoyance was seen on the old Halfling's face. In fact, it was a laugh that escaped him. "Mahaha. . ! Calm down, son, at least give me some time to introduce myself."

"Bill Trainer, with Bill who is my calling. The coach and supervisor of this training ground." he said, introducing himself. "Well that's it. Silver twins, it's your turn."

"Alice."

"So short? Yes, if you don't want to talk much." respond with a small grin.

"But 'I heard you guys really wanted to try out the ability, so come, you guys I'll pass it on." and the statement certainly surprised Alice and Elcia.

"How about. . ?" alice asked, with her mouth open.

Bill also widened his frequency. "This figure may be old, silver girl. But 'I'm still capable enough to hear what you guys are talking about."

He looked at the two alternately. And when his eyes did not find any weapons on them, Bill continued.

"Well. .for weapons, you can borrow from the warehouse" he said, pointing to the building in the corner.

"Oh?" Alice raised her eyebrows.

Seeing the opportunity given to them, Elcia immediately thanked the Terrian. ". . . Thank you." Thank you."

"Ho. . , how polite."

And without their estimation, a panel appeared suddenly before Elcia.

...————...

A Quest that had been triggered just like that made Elcia somewhat widen her eyes. Because of the depth, the Quest is usually requested and not triggered by itself — without realizing if he himself has not followed the game for too long.

'Super AI, huh? But, A-Rank Quest. . .'

Elcia eventually had to put on a flat face, despite the fact that the girl's face was always flat. But not because of the existence of Super AI, but rather the Rank displayed by that Quest.

Truth be told, the difficulty parameters of the Quest in Terris were never standard as it was measured through the individual strength of the player. It clearly meant that the system of judging if this Quest included was quite difficult for Elcia who was a beginner with her Level who was still at Level 0.

However, the Rewards written there could be said to be very helpful to players. Forget about Common-Grade Weapon, the lowest one of the Terris Equipment tiers.

Basic Mastery Skills, which meant basic mastery Skills such as; sword Mastery, Magic Mastery or whatever it was seemed to make Elcia feel lucky. Because, such basic Skills were an important starting point for any player that would be useful from up to anytime.

But thinking about it, Elcia began to feel confused about what to do because her luck came along with the difficulty of — which is the Quest itself.

. . . While he had unknowingly already pulled Alice towards the armory.

"—Elcia. . , oi. . !" Alice had to shout near her ear, and woke the girl out of her mind.

"A. . ? A— . . !" flinched, Elcia finally regained her senses.

But the next moment, the girl's breath stopped when she saw the entire room she was in now.

Back then, something that was part of him as 'Eccentric' had been resurrected; weapon Maniac, an old-time gun enthusiast.

"That's, that's. . ! Gladius. . ! Pablo. . ! Zweifander. . ! Ludge. . ! Tomahawk. . !"

Seeing her, Alice was made to pat her on the forehead; she had forgotten how the girl would react when she was near such things.

As the weapons before them were no longer used in the real world and had become quite rare, Elcia who was a Weapon Maniac turned excited when she saw the row before her eyes.

"Um. . , this. . ."

"Hmmn. . ?"

"—Espada Ropera! Type Bilbo Hilt, Double-Edge, 45inch. Here, Masterpiece. . !"

". . ."

Bottom line. . , it's a rapier.
