"The curse of the sword is terrible to know, old man!" alice shouted in a high tone.
It was not without reason, because for a player, the curse Ashcori had was insane.
First, the Curse of Immortality.
Indeed, it seems quite profitable at first glance. But if noticed again, the permanent reduction of parameters each time the Curse of Immortality was activated was presumably too detrimental for the growth of the player character. Moreover, the existing Death Penalty was unavoidable.
Instead of having to get a permanent reduction in statistical parameters, Alice and Elcia prefer to lose Experience and Mastery Point that can be recovered easily.
Curse of Insanity is not too different in terms of harm. A curse that made players 'lose common sense' like a Berserker going berserk.
The possibility of failing while using the Skill, and or also losing control over the character was not something to be laughed at. Because both of those things can make everything immediately turn in an unwanted direction.
And finally, the Curse of Pain was the main reason for Alice to reject the sword.
Forcing the pain setting to be at a realistic level on par with the real world, plus a modifier that increases it by 1.3 times more powerful, presumably enough to make ninety-eight percent of players reject Ashcor's sword; with the remaining two percent as a gathering of masochists.
But hearing Alice's words, Bill asked with an unexpected expression. "really? I thought this was weak enough for you. . ."
For too long hugging a thorny rose; the curse of destruction, Bill lost his way about common sense from the point of view of a normal person.
"Not at all!" said Alice. 'This old alfling bolts come off!'
After stroking his long beard, Bill paused for a moment to think, then asked. "Most now, you're rejecting Ashcor's sword?"
Alice answered firmly. "A hundred percent I refuse."
". . . .hahahaha!" Bill suddenly laughed out loud, startling Alice and Elcia at once. But after, the Halfling immediately let out a long sigh.
"Haaaah. . to think if anyone would reject an object many people used to want. . . Alright. All right if you refuse."
[Quest : Ashcor, Wielder rejected!]
"But." Bill looked at Alice for a moment, then said; "i have a request."
"A request, is it?" repeat the girl with raised eyebrows. "What?"
"You see, that sword is quite dangerous, don't you think? I want you to take it somewhere and give it to those who can destroy Ashcor, once and for all."
[Quest : The Cursed Sword triggered!]
Alice again showed a reluctant face. "So, I still have to carry this sword?"
"Quiet, I say. Since you haven't recognized the sword, Ashcor's curse won't touch you, as long as you don't pull it out either."
". . . I see." Alice finally showed a relieved face, yet she immediately stared intently. "But where should we take him?"
Bill finally pulled out a scroll, then spread it over the table; a map, and asked back. "Ask me, do you know the name of this continent?"
Without thinking, both of them shook their heads. That's natural, because every player starts out without knowing anything about the georgaphyses in Terris. Just set foot on a foreign land.
On the other hand, Bill who predicted it began to explain.
Briefly, the name of the continent on which they are currently located is called Al-Terris, with five smaller parts in it; Terris North (Northern Terris), Terris South (Southern Terris), and Terris, East Terris (Eastern Terris), West Terris (Western Terris) and Central Terris (Middle Terris).
"This map covers only North Terris and parts of Central Terris."
Continuing, Bill placed his index finger on the north side of the map. "We're at this point."
'. . . Wide.' said Elcia with widened eyes, glued to the map before her.
'If this is too broad know.' Alice commented.
Looking at the map that filled the table before the two, they finally realized how vast Terris really was. With only a portion of a continent before them, of whatever continent they have not known.
Shifting his index finger south, the old Halfling continued. "Go to Central Terris. Look for a Grand Magus, Arch Bishop, and All-Master Alchemist."
"—You're kidding me?!"
Alice was instantly made to scream hearing him —and Elcia left her mouth open. The reason is simple, because the people they have to look for are in fact very difficult to find. And both of them also know enough about each of them, thanks to the fame of the three in fantasy stories and games —though both themselves are not sure everything will be exactly the same in Terris.
Simply put;
Grand Magus, the pinnacle of branching the type of magician focused on the diversity of Magic Skills. Using a wide variety of magic, the Grand Magus is said to be able to face hundreds of other magic alone.
Then, Arch Bishop. One level after Bishop who is the strongest person in Holy or Light type magic. Recovering the one who was on the verge of death, removing the curse, or annihilating the Undead army was not difficult for such a person.
And the last one that was just as terrifying, the All-Master Alchemist. A man who is said to be able to create Potions to recover all diseases, make the strongest metal in history, and turn a piece of stone into gold.
Not just the pinnacle of his own field, the person Bill said should be nearly impossible to meet. After all, what should they say to those people?
Hola! Please seal this cursed sword! Thank you!
Yup, Alice could already imagine if they would just be kicked out.
Bill immediately put up a wide grin seeing the girl's reaction. "It seems you know what you're looking for."
He immediately pulled out a silver object mixed with gold the size of a medal, with a picture of feathers crossing each other and a sword in the middle. "Something should still remember this, Nalvar's badge. This thing's gonna make it easier for you."

Alice also showed a skeptical view. "Let me guess, this thing is also a fossil."
"Hahaha, this badge isn't that old" Bill denied, shaking his head.
"Suppit. So we have to find the Grand Magus, Arch Bishop and All-Master Alchemist. After that, what?" alice asked later, kneeling for more explanation; while drinking her drink.
And another thing came out of the old Halfling, which this time was a book. "I assume you agree with my request."
"This book carries information about what you need to destroy Ashcori."

And a Quest more troublesome than the S-Rank Quest was created in front of Alice. Silently, the girl could only support her forehead, looking down tiredly.
'Again?' elcia asked with a flat face beside her.
'Again.'
Sighing, Alice finally had to agree to Bill's request. And in doing so, a long, tiring journey awaits the two.
