Chapter 9's

A strong wind blew away the leaves from a distance, Elga was still sniffing something. It seemed that he did not do that on a whim, he signaled by shaking his head at Zi, indicating that he did not smell the Elf's tracks from the path they were taking. After inviting Shane to leave, Elga suddenly stops them and says she will join the mission. That's why they're four now.

"How's it?" rose asked with a worried face.

"How about you stop asking questions, and let us do our job?" reply Elda with ketus.

" Elga.." Zi scolded the girl.

"I know brother, but who the hell invited this girl? Why don't we just leave him with Harvey's sister?"

"Gina is my friend, you think it’s not normal if I want to find her too?" rose said this time he looked resigned.

"Sister, I found some tracks" said Shane, his figure emerging from behind a bush.

"Good.." Zi replied, it seems that they are already halfway to where Gina is being held by a figure they don't even know about.

"I still can’t smell her, don’ you think its weird sister?" elga asked confusedly.

"Wait a minute" Rose cut.

"Great, now what? Another drama?" elga's reply is getting sour.

"I just have a short question, your friend said that Gina was in the shed near the flower hill. Why are we still looking for traces?" ask Rose at length.

"Inga..?" the Zi Lyrics on the Ketus Girl.

"No.no.you tell her" he said.

"Tell me what?" Rose is further confused, while Shane is just enjoying this strange talk.

"You go on, El. Tell her" Zi replied again, this time she looked a little pressing.

Elga was silent for a moment "I'll make it short. Your friend was arrested and held in a flower hill, but it does not rule out the possibility that the route we take is free from traps" explained Elga.

"Traps?" ask Rose.

"That’s right," Zi said.

"Why trap? Why they want to trap us?" ask Rose again.

"Rose, whoever's holding your elf friend back, must know you and know clearly that you're friends with Gina, and by capturing Gina." Zi said.

"And by arresting Gina they had predicted that you would ask us for help" Elga said.

"We're the ones they want, not Gina or you" Zi continued.

"They only use you to get to us, me and sister Zi," Elga continued.

"Oooh waw, you guys are so compact" Rose said. Elga just rolled her eyes.

"But you understand the point, don't you, Rose?" ask Zi again.

"Yes, I get it, but you leave one empty plot"

"What?"

"Shane said he found a trail, whose trail?"

"That's the trail of those who set traps along our way to your friend Gina" Shane said.

"Excellent," cetus Rose.

Zi was still looking around.the direction of the wind was opposite from the direction of the flower proof, carrying whatever scent was blown from that hill. This gives an advantage to those who have a keen sense of smell like Elga.

"Well, can you sniff the air again?" ask Zi.

"Sister, I told you, that Elf smell was covered in another smell that messed with my smell" Elga replied.

On the other hand, Rose was just staring at Elga with a thousand thoughts in her head. He thought about the smell of poisonous gas that he let out when he started a few hours ago, lest they could sniff it? The gas was silent, it must have been very smelly. Oh come on, it's not time to think about his smelly fart.

"Rose, you okay?" tanya Zi scattered Rose's daydream.

"Yes, yes, I’m good," Rose stuttered.

"Alright, brother what’s next?" ask Elga.

" Sniff the air again," Zi ordered.

"I told u—" Elga's speech was truncated.

"Find out how many of them are there" Zi ordered.

"Good idea sis," Shane said excitedly, Zi smiled.

"Out of the box huh, alright gave me a sec," Elga started sniffing the wind that passed by her.

A few minutes later...

" There were 4 people, with firearms and explosives, they were in bulletproof uniforms, and one of them was using a silver weapon" Elga said.

"Perfect..!" exclaim Zi excitedly.

"Perfect you said? They have guns.are you crazy?"

"Lucky you. we are all," said Elga, he began to hurry.

"Wait..wait..!" hold Rose on the 3 figures in front of her.

"What, Rose?" ask Zi.

"How about calling a cop?" ask Rose.

"We pass this kak, let’s just go," Shane impatiently.

"You can stay here if you're afraid" Elga said.

"Hell no, I’m coming with you guys. Let’s go then," Rose hurriedly stepped up.

After all the traps they found and managed to avoid, they arrived at a warehouse or rather barn. This place used to be used as storage of crops, and because this land has been purchased by unknown companies, so the farmers have to stop and find other jobs.

The building looked dull, under the thick clouds, the sun seemed reluctant to shine on the slum.

Elga looked at Rose cynically.

"What's? Why are you looking at me like that?" ask Rose plain.

"Humans and their weapons" said Elga still with her cynical gaze.

"Hey, I'm just trying to be realistic. What are you going to fight them with? Unless you got something faster than a bullet" Rose said. His face is hopeful now.

"We have a plan," Zi chimed in.

"Alright, obviously I don’t wanna be the bait this time," Shane looked annoyed.

Zi just stared at him flatly.

"Guess it’s my turn then," Elga stood up and removed her hoodie jacket.

Now the girl only uses a black tanktop and shows the entirety of her abdominal muscles.

"Hot.." Shane commented.

“Focus,” Zi Climbing Shane.

"You sure, El?" tanya Zi assured.

" Wait, sure about what? Are u kidding? Are we even having a plan?" ask Rose to stay.

"Relax, normie, we know what we're doing," Elga prepares.

"Rose, listen to me very carefully, here take it" said Zi.

The guy handed a Glock to Rose, “This building only has one exit, you stay in this position. Whoever comes out of that building and not us, shoots on the spot. Understood?" clearly Zi was at length.

"Wait, no, I can’t shot. I never do this before," Rose refused worriedly.

"Relax we will get your elf girl back" Elga said. A moment after his figure shot towards that building.

"WAIT...!" Rose tried to hold him back, but Elga's speed confused Rose even more.

"Here we go!" sahut Shane's.

"Guys, how did she run so fast?"

"Enough with the question, Rose," Zi chimed in.

"HEY...COME AT ME YOU SCUMBAG!!" the sound of Elga screaming from inside the building, followed by the sound of a barrage of automatic rifles. While Rose tried to get used to the sound of the bullet.

"She's so excited" commented Shane.

"Rose you ready?"

"Yes I hope.so— "the two male figures near Rose have vanished.

Inside the building.

Elga ran a zigzag dodging hundreds of bullets that flew towards her, then jumped up and landed right on the man's shoulder with the automatic rifle, he grabbed the man by the neck and squeezed his throat with one hand. The man's throat was instantly broken down full of blood. He's still trying to hold his blood so it doesn't go anywhere. But the hole made Elga's nail seemed irreparable. The man instantly sprawled on the dusty wood floor, Elga's satisfied face finally etched clear.

“Bang....!!”

The sound of the Desert Eagle was fired from behind Elga and hit her left back. The girl just shifted a little, then swung her sharp fingernails towards the man who shot her just now. The man immediately fell down with a gaping wound on his face. It seemed that one attack just now instantly killed the man. On the other side of the building, Zi was still physically clashing with someone big. Those muscles seem to be capable of crashing anyone's skull, even if they're not human.

"Alright, I'm just here to bring that elf home. Killing u is not my intention" Zi told his opponent.

"We just want your head inside the tube for our newest collection," replied the man before Zi.

"Uh.. I don’t like that," Zi said slightly flat.

The man swung his fist bigger than a baseball and Zi took the hit like he had no intention of dodging, or he was too slow because of his old age. The sound of a wooden wall collapsing at the end of the room, Zi without being able to endure the pain she had just received, could still grin wide.

" Something funny? " say the big man.

"Nothing "answered Zi.

"You know, of all the monsters I killed, I never had any personal problems with them, but you, Noctacian.. I will enjoy this torture" he said.

One attack he did again, this time Zi could dodge smoothly. The big man was confused.

"Start hot?" tanyakanya.

"No, are you?" ask Zi. He showed a C5 detonator in his hand.

"What's that for?" ask the muscular man.

"Check your belt, big boy," Zi replied with a slight chuckle.

"You, *******..!" it means to Zi.

"Here’s one thing about human's perspective. When you get what you want, you forget what your enemy wants. You want to punch me, fine. But me? I just want to put that C5 in your belt. Small cost for big price," said Zi this time he immediately pressed the detonator.

“BOOM..!”

The muscular man's body was scattered around the place. Zi wiped his face covered in entrails and bone fragments.

"I guess it’s too soon for dinner. Right, Shane?"

"Shane..?" call again.

"Hey El, where's Shane?" asked Elga who was still holding back the pain in her back.

"How should I know?"

"Here..!" sahut Shane's. The man seemed to be chewing some of his opponent's chest.

"Yep, too soon for dinner" Zi said.

Elga shook her head to see the behavior of the two.
