Chapter 7's
“Hey, you're new huh?” greet one of the children whose room is on the same floor as Rose.
The girl's blue eyes narrowed and a sweet smile flashed across her mottled face. “My name is Gea, who are you?”
“I'm Rose, have you lived here long?”
“Lumayan anyway, I've been here for a year. You must have been put here because you accidentally discovered their secret right?”
“Iya, do they do that to everyone?”
“Of course not, we are among the lucky ones. Usually they will get rid of people who are considered threats. Only the people they believe will keep their mouths shut here. You don't know where the dining room is? Come on, we're both there.”
“Okay, thanks.”
The girl smiled and took Rose's hand towards the elevator, her finger pressing the number one button. Shortly after, the elevator reached their destination floor. Gea pulled Rose towards a large room with several Long tables and benches, and several counters providing food.
“Typically the menu will change every day, so you just take what you want to eat. But do not let it not run out, later you can be scolded.”
Rose followed Gea's steps, picking up a tray of plates, as well as spoons and forks. He looked at the food provided that day. There is grilled chicken, vegetable soup, fried sausage, spicy seasoned fish, and fried eggs. Rose took rice, chicken, and sausages. He waited until Gea finished taking the food and sat at the same table as the girl.
“Is every day the food good like this?”
Gea chuckles at Rose's questions, “Indeed the menu is good every day, you don't have to worry.”
Rose nodded, the two of them eating while chatting. Most Rose asked Gea what life was like in this place, and what she should pay attention to. Suddenly we heard cheers from the food collection. A group of teenagers is swarming a girl who is now drenched in food sauce.
The girl lowered her head, her long silvered hair was now wet and dirty with a few pieces of vegetables. Her pointy ears moved downward, as if reflecting the feelings of the owner. Wait, taper ears? Rose squinted her eyes, trying to make sure she didn't see it wrong. But no matter how many times he looked, the soaked girl still had taper ears.
“Gea, who's the girl?” rose asked as she glanced towards the horde that was still swarming.
Gea turned her head and looked with a flat look. “Oh, it's Gina, she's elf.”
“Elf said? They really exist?”
“Ah, I forgot. You must have never seen them before. I was shocked when I first found out. Elves actually existed, and their numbers were quite a lot. They just hide themselves. The girl has no family anymore, that's why she lives here.”
“Then, why are they bothering the girl? Did he make a mistake?”
“No, Gina never bothered anyone else. They were bothering him because Elves could not hate people. So whatever they do to her, she'll forgive them.”
“Hey, that’s rude. They shouldn't have done that. Has no one stopped them?”
“The manager of this place has reprimanded them several times, but they still do it. After all, what they did was harmless, so they were eventually left.”
“I guess the rules of this place should not quarrel with fellow residents?”
“It wasn't a fight because Gina never fought.”
“I can't let all this,” Rose said.
Before Gea could stop him, Rose had already approached the mob.
“Hey you guys, stop that! Aren't you shy about disturbing one girl in a crowd?!”
The group of teenagers looked at each other, one of them replied, “Who are you? Don't follow our affairs.”
“It doesn't matter who I am, you better stop before I report you.”
“I know who he is, he's a new occupant in room 106,” said another teenager.
“You're just a new resident here, don't be a hotshot!” the first teenager answered Rose.
“What is this?” a voice interrupted them.
They all turned their heads and saw Leona standing with her hands crossed.
“Somebody can explain what happened?”
“They disturb this Elf girl,” Rose said.
Leona squinted her eyes and looked at the teenagers sharply. “I think you already know the rules here. There should be no quarrels between the residents. Do I have to punish you guys just got it?”
“Enough. Don't think I don't know what you guys do to Gina every day. From today no one should disturb the other residents. Do you guys understand?” cut Leona.
“We understand,” replied the teenagers.
“Now disperse and do what you should do. You two, come with me.”
Rose and Gina follow Leona into an empty room. Of the several sofas and a large TV that was in the room, it seemed to be a relaxing space.
“I called you two to say a few things. You, Rose, it's your first day here, so you shouldn't be looking for too many enemies. While you're Gina, you should have reported what happened. I was waiting for your report but you didn't say anything. I can't punish them or defend you if you keep quiet. This facility is huge, and there are many residents inside, I can't keep an eye on you one after the other. Next time, don't shut up. Do you two understand?”
“I understand,” replied Rose.
“Iya, forgive me,” replied Gina softly.
“Already, clean your body. Don't let this happen again,” said Leona then left the two of them.
Rose turned her head as she felt Gina pull up her sleeve, “Yes?”
“Thanks,” says Gina Lirih.
Even with a soft voice Rose could hear her melodious tone.
“Sama-sama. My name is Rose, greetings,” Rose said as she reached out.
“Gina,” replied the Elf while welcoming Rose's helping hand.
“If you don't mind, you want to be my friend?” ask Rose excitedly.
Gina looked at Rose in surprise, as if in disbelief as she said, “You want to be my friend?” he said pointing to himself.
“Yes, I've never met an Elf before. There's a lot I want to ask you. I think we could be good friends.”
Gina was silent for a moment and smiled widely. Her green eyes implied a feeling of pleasure,
“Of course I want to be your friend! This is the first time I have a friend.”
“Eh? Why don't you have friends?”
“I don't know, maybe because I'm the only Elf here. The rest of the residents always bother me, while the others stay away because they do not want to be disturbed as well.”
“Do not mind them, from now on I will protect you.”
“Really?”
“I promise,” says Rose.

“Where are you going, brother?” elga asked Zi who seemed to be preparing to come out.
“I will visit safe house,” Zi replied.
“Meet with Rose?”
Zi wears her favorite black jacket and a round pair of sunglasses, “There's something I want to make sure of.”
“Tell me sister, do you like that woman?”
“No, no, it’s not like that. I’m just curious about something,” refute Zi.
“Alright,” Elga said uncertainly. Somehow he felt his brother's words would turn around to hit him later.
“Let him, later also know himself,” said Harvey.
Meanwhile Zi hurried away without even speaking their words.
