Chapter 6's
“You're up?” a gentle female voice greeted Rose as she opened her eyes. Rose grimaced in pain as she bent her body to sit down.
“Pelan-pelan course,” said the woman again.
Rose looked at the beautiful woman with long light brown hair who was standing before her. The woman was wearing a white lab coat and was holding a chest board as well as a pen. In the pocket of his suit, a stethoscope hangs.
“Who are you?” asked Rose in a hoarse voice.
“My name is Hazel, I'm the head nurse at this clinic. You've been unconscious for two hours.”
“Clinic?” rose remembered what happened to her.
“Where are Zi and Elga?”
“They're going and cleaning up a few things. Don't worry, they'll be back any minute.”
“What exactly are they? I saw they had fangs and nails..Are they not human?”
“I can't explain that, they will answer your question later. In the meantime, do you want to eat?”
Rose looked at Hazel with a suspicious look, “Do you know who they really are? Are you the same as them?”
“Calm down, it doesn't matter what I am. What matters now, you have to recover first,” said Hazel trying to calm Rose down.
“Just let him Hazel, I will answer his question,” Zi said who had just entered the room.
Hazel nodded and left Rose with Zi.
“How do you feel?”
“How do you think? I just witnessed something beyond reason. Why do they and Elga have claws and fangs? What kind of creatures are you guys?”
“The Claus family calls us Aeternum, but our real name is Noctacian. We are creatures that eat the flesh of a dead man. We usually dig graves to get our food, or buy corpses in hospitals and funeral homes.”
Rose looked at Zi's eyes, trying to see if the man was telling the truth. “Are you guys going to eat me?”
“Of course not. I told you we only eat the dead.”
“But that means you could have killed someone to eat them right?”
“Yes we can do just that, but we only do that to our enemies, or people who pose a threat to us.”
“You mean the person who knows your secret?”
“If they keep quiet, we will let them. I’m sure you’re a smart woman. You know what to do, right?”
“I won't tell anyone about this. But what about the job and where I live?”
“We'll put you in a protection facility. There you can stay safe. For your work, I'll ask my acquaintance at one of the schools. Maybe you can work as a library keeper or admin.”
“Thanks. I'm sorry I doubted you. But I also feel annoyed that you guys just disappeared.”
“We disappeared for your safety. The Claus family will interrogate you if they find that you are in contact with us.”
“Yeah, in the end they still kidnap me.”
“Don't worry, you'll be safe at that facility later. Is there anything else you want to ask?”
“Can I move there tonight?”
“Faster is better. I'll have Elga pick you up later.”
Meanwhile, Zi who was outside of the room approached Elga. The man observes Elga's wounds that have been closed and replaced by new skin.
“El, you take Rose to safe house later,” he said.
“Hah? Why should I?” grumble the girl.
“Among us, only you know him. He will be calmer if with a figure he already knows.”
Elga looked at her brother's facial expression closely. She understood that her brother was doing this because they had involved Rose into their world. The woman may have no other choice but to stay in the safe house for a long time. But Elga could also catch the look in her brother's eyes filled with curiosity.
“Be careful brother, don't be too curious.”
“I know, I'm just wondering why his reaction is normal. Other people in his position used to react worse. Either they are hysterical, depressed, or trying to kill themselves. But other than feeling scared, I didn't see any other reaction from him”
Elga just shook her head, the girl knew when her brother was curious, no tone could stop him. The man will find out until he finds an answer that makes him satisfied. Elga looked at Rose who was walking towards them.
“I go first then.”
Zi looked at the departure of the two of them with a smile. In his head he had already devised some plans to satisfy his curiosity.

Rose looked at the streets blankly. The woman was in a car with Elga heading to a safe house. Several hours had passed since the two of them left the clinic. Rose spent the next few hours tidying up her things, returning the motorbike she had rented, and saying goodbye to Annie.
The girl seemed confused why Rose moved again when she was only a few months in her boarding house. But the girl did not ask much when she saw Elga with Rose. In her heart, Rose guessed that Annie knew something. It's just that, just like Annie, Rose chose to remain silent as long as she tidied up her stuff.
The car they were riding in stopped in front of a gate with several guards. One of the guards knocked on the car's glass. Elga opened the window and said briefly that Rose had come with her. The guard nodded and allowed their car to continue.
A few minutes later, they again stopped at a large building that looked like an inn. Rose came down as she saw Elga coming down. The two of them then took down the boxes containing Rose's goods. Fortunately, Rose did not have much stuff. After finishing lowering the cardboard, Rose again observed the building in front of her.
“Come, I will introduce you to the manager of this place.”
Rose followed Elga and walked into the building carrying her cardboard. Elga told him to put the stuff he was carrying in a lobby. Several long sofas with one large table were in the lobby. A woman of Rose's age approached the two of them.
“Elga, is he the one?” ask the woman.
“Ya, have you received the information?”
“Already. Just take him to room 106, here's the key. Make sure you tell him the rules that are here.”
“It's not your job?”
“You brought him here. Be thankful the chairman still lets her in.”
Elga turned to look at Rose, “This woman is called Leona, she is the caretaker of this place. If there's anything you can look for. For now, follow me to your new room.”
Rose nodded and smiled at Leona, although the woman did not return her smile and only looked at her with a probing look. Rose and Elga boarded an elevator near the lobby and headed for the third floor. Arriving there, Rose follows Elga until they reach room 106. Elga unlocks the room and lets Rose into the room first.
“This room will be your room as long as you are here. You do not have to pay for the room while here. But you can pay for electricity, water, food, and internet every month to Leona. There are not many rules here, you have to come back here at ten o'clock at night, because the door will be locked after that. Breakfast was at seven, and dinner was at six. There are pickets to clean every floor and also the bathroom. Later Leona will tell you what day you picket. You can use all the facilities that are here, but you should not fight with other residents here. Do you understand?”
Rose nodded, to him all the rules were like dormitories, only here more freely. “Thank you,” said.
“Then I go first,” said Elga closed the door to Rose's room.
Rose observed the room she was going to be in. The room was not very large, but enough for daily activities. There was a large window where Rose could see the field below. Some children seem to play and chase on the field. Rose held a smile on her lips.
“Yeah, this is also a new start.”
