Kinara's Pick Up

After traveling sixteen more hours, finally Kinara set foot in Indonesia. He smiled as he got off the plane. Several times he inhaled, trying to enjoy the aroma of Indonesia.

After exiting the arrival door, Kinara pulled out her phone to contact her parents in Bandung. Yes, he still had to continue the journey for about three more hours to get home.

"Hallo sir, Nara has reached Jakarta. Soon Nara headed for Bandung", Kinara's voice sounded cheerful.

"Thank God you've arrived in Jakarta, son. What are you riding here?", asked Mr. Prastowo.

"The plan is for Nara to take a trip, sir. Later Nara will tell you if you have entered Bandung", replied Kinara at the end of his phone.

Mr. Prastowo ordered his daughter to be careful on the road. Actually her father and mother offered to pick up Kinara in Jakarta before she flew from Paris, but Kinara refused because she did not want to bother and made both her parents wait a long time. Let them rest at home, Kinara thought.

Kinara immediately rushed to find a trip to Bandung.

"Hai, Kinara", a voice made Kinara who was waiting in line in front of a travel counter turn her head.

Beside him was already standing someone Kinara knew well, Farhan.

"Lho, Farhan. What are you doing here?", asked Kinara in surprise.

Farhan smiled sweetly, he approached Kinara closer.

"I came to get you. I thought you were gone with travel. Luckily, I can still find you here" Farhan explained.

Kinara smiled as well as looking confused at the presence of Farhan who came to pick her up.

"Where do you know today that I'm going back to Indonesia?", Kinara said.

Farhan did not reply, he just smiled, then took the suitcase out of Kinara's hands.

"Let me explain. Now, let's go home. Mom and dad must have been waiting for you at home", Farhan passed and Kinara immediately followed with a lot of questions in his head.

Farhan's car started moving out of the airport. The atmosphere in the car was still quiet and stiff.

Inexplicably Kinara's feelings were jumbled between being happy, confused, nervous, and feeling calm because she was coming home with someone she knew.

Farhan was focused on driving his car. Several times Kinara glanced at the handsome man beside her.

"mmm...Han, you still have an explanation debt to me", finally Kinara opened her voice.

Farhan glanced at Kinara for a bit and smiled faintly.

"Yes, about your question earlier, right", Farhan replied shortly. Kinara nodded her head.

"I know about your return today from Alisa" Farhan continued.

Kinara scrunched her forehead, she increasingly did not understand. Farhan and his sister, Alisa, have never met and do not know each other.

"You must be confused huh how can Alisa contact me?", asked Farhan as if he could read Kinara's mind.

"Yes. You didn't know each other before and have never met" Kinara replied.

Again, Farhan smiled.

"No need to think, later you can ask Alisa yourself", that's the only answer Farhan gave. Kinara did not want to continue the discussion.

The journey was still long and drowsiness began to ambush both eyes of Kinara. He tried to hold her back, Kinara did not want to fall asleep in front of Farhan. But the drowsiness was too strong until he finally fell asleep.

Farhan glanced at Kinara who had not made a sound. He smiled seeing the girl soundly asleep beside him.

"You must be very tired through a long journey alone" whispered little heart Farhan. He let Kinara sleep during the trip.

Luckily, the road did not stop. After about three hours of travel, Farhan's car has arrived in Bandung. He drove his car to Kinara's house. Kinara still did not wake up as well, it turned out that her sleep was really sound.

Farhan parked his car in front of a very familiar house. Ms. Hasna who was accompanying Mr. Prastowo enjoyed the afternoon on the porch of the house looks surprised to see a car coming.

"Sir, whose car is it?", Ms. Hasna asked her husband.

Mr. Prastowo looked in the direction his wife pointed to, "Father doesn't know either. Let's see, open the gate", Pinta Pak Prastowo.

Ms. Hasna rushed over to the gate and she smiled kindly as she saw Farhan coming out of the car.

"Geez, son Farhan. Come on in, son", take Ms. Hasna. Farhan immediately kissed Bu Hasna's hand and he smiled politely to Mr. Prastowo who was still sitting on the porch bench.

"Yes mom. Sorry ma'am, this is me delivering Kinara but she's still sleeping in the car. I tried to wake up but it seemed to be a deep sleep, exhausted as it were", Farhan explained.

"Hallo Kak Farhan, brother must have brought Kak Kinara here yes", Alisa suddenly appeared on the porch of the house. Farhan smiled and nodded his head.

"Mothers alike do not be confused, I told Kak Farhan and asked for help to pick up Kak Nara at the airport" Alisa explained as if understanding with astonished looks from her father and mother.

Mr. Prastowo and Ms. Hasan shook their heads, they were not completely confused by Alisa's actions.

"Sorry son Farhan, so troublesome like this. Let me try to wake him up" said Ms. Hasna and immediately approached the other car door to see Kinara.

It turned out that what Farhan said was true. Kinara is really good. Many times her mother called her name and shook her shoulders to wake up, Kinara did not budge.

"Sir, this is your daughter does not want to wake up", Ms. Hasna called Mr. Prastowo.

"Hmmm.rarely Kinara is like that. Maybe he is very tired, ma'am", replied Mr. Prastowo as he walked over to his wife. Farhan immediately kissed Mr. Prastowo's hand.

"Han, if you don't mind, please carry Kinara to his room. If the adoptive father, can hurt the waist of the father", pinta Pak Prastowo.

Deg

Farhan was surprised by the request. All this time, from college until now, Farhan had never touched Kinara. But right now he's being asked to hold Kinara, more than just touch her.

"Wouldn't it be better to wait for Kinara to wake up, sir?", Farhan tried to subtly resist.

"Surely, he will sleep for a long time. If you wait for him to wake up, then tomorrow he goes into the house", replied Mr. Prastowo.

"What a hell, kid. Mom and Dad asked for help. After all we've tried to wake Kinara up, but she won't wake up either. After all the father and mother are here, nothing will happen", added Bu Hasna as if to understand Farhan's reluctance.

With no other choice, Farhan finally fulfills the request of Kinara's parents. He began to release the seat belt attached to Kinara's body, then slowly and carefully Farhan began to lift Kinara's body which was still sound asleep.

Farhan's heart was racing as his hand touched Kinara's body. Moreover, their faces clashed closely because Farhan had to lift him up. Farhan tried to calm himself down.

Mr. Prastowo assigns Alisa to bring her brother's suitcase and Ms. Hasna shows Kinara's room to Farhan.

Farhan followed Bu Hasna's footsteps. Ms. Hasna opened the door to a green room with a matching colored bed and the whole room looked very neat. Farhan laid Kinara's body on the bed and covered her.

"Thank you, Farhan" said Ms. Hasna, who was standing in front of the door. Farhan nodded small and smiled.

Ms. Hasna invited Farhan to enjoy the banquet in the living room. Mr. Prastowo and Alisa were there, they both seemed to be joking.

"It is heavy to carry Kinara inside, Han?", asked Mr. Prastowo as Farhan sat down after being invited by Ms. Hasna.

"Not really, sir", replied Farhan short and clumsy.

"Just take the exercise. Later if you are married, you will certainly often carry it", said Mr. Prastowo makes Farhan more clumsy.

"This man jokingly likes to go everywhere. Sorry, son Farhan. Oh how is mom? healthy?", asked Bu Hasna while offering Farhan a cup of tea.

"Thank you, mom. Good mother news. I'm sorry I haven't come here" Farhan replied.

"What a hell, kid. Thank goodness your mother is healthy. Let's drink and enjoy the snack", sodor Bu Hasna.

Although clumsy, but Farhan received all the dishes. Mr. Prastowo enlivened the atmosphere by inviting Farhan to talk about many things. Alisa and Ms. Hasna listened, occasionally engaging in the conversation.

Time passed, not feeling it was almost night. Before the Maghrib prayer, Farhan said goodbye to Mr. Prastowo and Ms. Hasna.

"Be careful on the road, son. Greetings from us to the mother at home", said Ms. Hasna after Farhan kissed her hand and kissed Mr. Prastowo's hand.

"Okay ma'am, I'll say hello. Thanks for the treat, sir, ma'am".

"Yes. Thank you also because you have to pick up and deliver Kinara", Pak Prastowo responded.

"Often play here, Kak Farhan", added Alisa.

Farhan nodded and passed his car.

"Father hopes Kinara can accept Farhan, ma'am" Mr. Prastowo said as they returned to the house.

"Farhan is a really good guy, sir. I hope so too", replied Ms. Hasna while tidying up the table in the living room.

On the way home Farhan's heart was so happy. He was happy today to meet Kinara, through a long journey even though most of the way Kinara fell asleep. The glint of Kinara's face that was so shady while on his lap flashed again. Farhan tried to brush off the shadow.

"It is not yet time for me to think too far about Kinara" Farhan murmured to himself.
