The sound of the dawn adhan that was mutually unpretentious spread silence in the care room Erlangga on the fifth floor.
Kinara, who had been guarding her husband since yesterday, was still sound asleep on the bench beside the patient's bed. He did not move even a little from there, one hand supporting his forehead, while one hand holding Erlangga's hand.
Ajeng who woke up first was so moved by the sight. Slowly he approached his sister-in-law, gently rubbing her shoulders, "Wake up brother, dawn first yuk".
Kinara was a little aghast, his hand grip loosened. He rubbed his eyes for a while then stretched for a moment the muscles of his body that felt stiff and painful.
"Yes", he answered slowly.
Ajeng and Kinara took turns taking ablution in the bathroom in the treatment room. They then prayed dawn together.
"Lord, thank you for saving my husband from his critical period, but until now my husband has not been conscious. I beg God, wake him up, heal him. I miss her, miss her smile. I beg you to make her as she is", do'a Kinara shed tears.
Ajeng amiin-kan do'a his brother-in-law. Her heart was so filled whenever she heard the do'a and the hope Kinara always said to God.
Ajeng tightly hugged Kinara's body which started to shake as it held back the cries. His eyes were completely puffy and swollen because from their first day until today, tears were always present on Kinara's face. Every time his heart fretted and anxious, he prayed with all his heart to tears.
"God must have listened to our do'a, brother", entertain Ajeng. Kinara only nodded small still in Ajeng's arms.
"Sister, I'll go out first and find breakfast. What do you want to eat?", asked Ajeng while tidying up his prayer equipment.
"Where are you, Jeng", replied Kinara in short.
After the sky began to look bright, Ajeng said goodbye to go out to find breakfast for him and Kinara.
Meanwhile, Kinara was receiving a call from her mother in Semarang.
"What is your husband's condition now, Ra?", asked Ms. Hasna.
"Mas Erlangga is still unconscious, ma'am. Nara was afraid that bad things would happen to Mas Erlangga", her tears started to drip again.
"You must not despair. Keep praying for your husband, yes. Dad, Alisa's mom plans to go there tomorrow".
"Yes mom, if you want to go here later, tell Nara ya mom. Please pray also for Mas Erlangga", pinta Kinara.
"Yes Ra. Must be mom kabari. About do'a need not be asked, father, mother and Alisa always pray. You're the patient, the strong, yes. Do not forget to eat and lack of rest. At times like this you need to be healthy" Ms. Hasna said.
Kinara messaged her mother, and the phone ended.
Before long, there was the sound of the door opening, apparently Pak Wijaya and Bu Tria who came.
"You're alone, Ra. Which teaching?", asked Bu Tria shortly after seeing in the room there were only Kinara and Erlangga who were unconscious.
"Jeng again went out, bought breakfast", replied Kinara.
"You must be tired from when we arrived you've been in the hospital. After breakfast, go back to the hotel with Ajeng. You should rest. Let papa same mama who changed the care of Erlangga", pinta Pak Wijaya.
Kinara smiled faintly as she shook her head, "Kinara is here pa, ma. Kinara can also rest. Kinara did not want to leave Mas Erlangga", there was a clear liquid that suddenly pooled in his eye pelup.
Ms. Tria who realized that immediately hugged her daughter-in-law tightly, "Mama knows the dictionary is anxious, but you don't be sad continue. Erlangga must be cured. She definitely doesn't want to see you like this, huh", Ms. Tria persuaded.
Kinara nodded slowly, trying to wipe away her tears.
Before long, Ajeng came. He immediately opened the two packs of rice he had bought and brought two glasses of warm sweet tea.
"I'm sorry Ajeng only bought two breakfasts", Ajeng felt guilty for not buying breakfast for his parents.
"You ate a good meal, papa and mama had breakfast before coming here. Here you bring snacks and fruit for you", replied Ms. Tria showing a bag of scrapes that had been stored at the table.
Kinara's sadness was somewhat relieved as the room became crowded.
At nine in the morning, Dr. Andi and a nurse came to the room to check on Erlangga's condition. Kinara noticed how her husband was being examined and she asked about her husband's unconscious state.
"I've already scheduled for a CT scan. We'll see how the wound on his head is. If there are obstacles, then we will immediately take action with the permission of the family" explained Dr. Andi.
After the examination, Kinara stared into the face of her husband who still seemed to be asleep. His face was a bit pale, the bandages were still wrapped around his head. His breath looks weak. The infusion hose attached to her hand with several devices attached to her body made Kinara sad to see her husband in such a condition.
"Mas, realize. I'm here", muttered Kinara softly, kissing her husband's hand. He held it tight.
Bu Tria and Pak Wijaya were filled to see the sight.
"Jeng, continue to accompany and entertain your brother, yes", said Mr. Wijaya.
"Yes pa", answered Ajeng.
"Mama same papa come out first. There are important things that we have to deal with Leo" said Mr. Wijaya again.
Ajeng just nodded. Pak Wijaya and Bu Tria said goodbye to Kinara as well.
Arriving in the hospital lobby, Leo was seen waiting on a bench near the receptionist.
"Good morning Mr and Madam" he said. He immediately stood up when he saw the arrival of Pak Wijaya and Bu Tria.
"Morning. What about the results of the investigation?", asked Mr. Wijaya. Ms. Tria.
"Let's go to the hospital park, ma'am. There are too many people here" Leo advised.
The three of them finally decided to go to the park. The hospital garden looks empty in the morning. The three of them sat in a gazebo there.
"So how?", asked Bu Tria impatiently to find out the results of the Erlangga accident investigation.
"From the results of the investigation, this incident was purely an accident, sir, madam", Leo replied.
"Oh so", Mr. Wijaya sighed deeply.
"Yes sir. Me and the team from the office also from the police have checked several times, and indeed the fall of the buffer building on the project was due to unstable soil conditions. So the police also concluded this as a pure accident" Leo explained again.
"All right then. Thanks though. Please take care of all the business in the office, yes", ordered Mr. Wijaya.
Leo nodded, bowing his body as a sign of respect and retreat from before the master and great mistress.
"Now we're calmer, ma. We already know that all these events were purely accidents. Our task now remains to pray for the best for our son, yes", Mr. Wijaya looked at Bu Tria who was sitting next to him.
As scheduled, this afternoon Erlangga will undergo a CT scan examination. All the family members were there to help. But only Kinara and Pak Wijaya were allowed to enter with Doctor Andi.
The nurse had entered to bring Erlangga's body which was still not humanized.
Andi's doctor took some pictures of the inside of Erlangga's head. About forty-five minutes they were in the room. After completion, Doctor Andi invited Pak Wijaya and Kinara to his room and discussed the results of the CT scan.
"It looks like we have to do another operation. There are nerves that have swelling. This must be done immediately because if not, this nerve will break and worsen bleeding in the brain. That is why Mr. Erlangga is still not awake until now" explained Doctor Andi while showing the head that requires the action.
Kinara's eyes glazed over to hear Doctor Andi's explanation.
"If that's best, just do it doc. Do everything as much as this doctor and hospital can try", replied Mr. Wijaya surely.
"Good, sir. We will try to do our best. The swelling of the nerves in this part of the reticular transverse fibers was beyond our expectations during the first operation yesterday. There were no problems at first in that part, but it looks like nerve swelling happened post-surgery", again, Dr. Andi explained.
"How many percent of the success of this second operation, doc?", asked Kinara anxiously.
"I can't be sure. But me and my colleagues will do their best" replied Dr. Andi
After the conversation was over, Dr. Andi immediately asked the nurse to prepare the operating room.
"Trust me, Erlangga must be cured. We pray together yes", Ms. Tria tried to calm herself and her daughter-in-law.
'It's a tough decision, but I, fight. I believe you are a strong man. I'll stay here waiting for you', whispered Kinara's little heart. Her eyes watched her husband's body return to the operating room.
