The next morning, Steve remembered his brother's words. Steve had to explain to his parents that he did not want to marry Peni.
Stevie suggested that Steve go straight to his parents in Shanghai, so the problem might be solved clearly.
Steve pondered over his brother's words. In his office, Steve was worried. Whether to go to Shanghai or not.
After thinking for too long, the saturation point made Steve make a decision. "I have to go to Shanghai" Steve decided.
Maybe seeing Mama and Papa, they'll understand that I don't want to marry that woman, Steve thought this way maybe his parents would understand.
From his office phone, Steve called the finance department asking Dinda to come to his office.
It took a few minutes for Dinda to get to Steve's room. Dinda faced Steve who was sitting in his chair. He did not seem so focused on the papers piled up on the table.
Dinda wondered why Steve called her this early. Is it important, so Steve looks riled up.
"Sorry sir" Dinda interrupted. "Is there anything important that calls me this early," Dinda began to speak in friendly language.
Steve looked at her intimidation. "Have you forgotten?" Steve quips. Dinda always forgets the most important part of their relationship. Steve had to repeatedly remind Dinda of this.
"It's in the office" said Dinda. "We have to keep boundaries as employees and bosses, let's put this love story aside first" Dinda said.
"Let it in the office or anywhere else, I don't want to listen to any reason," Steve forced a will. "I just want us as lovers, not as bosses and employees" Steve sewot said.
"Yes, I'll call Steve," Dinda relented. "Is there anything important you want to say this early?"
"Yes, it's important!" Answer Steve. "Where were the financial statements yesterday?" Steve.
"Isn't it two weeks before and the last Sunday I gave yesterday" Dinda reminded.
Steve pretended to forget, he tried to remember what happened a few days ago.
Steve furrowed his brows. "Looks like I forgot," Steve fished out a small commotion. "Maybe you took it again yesterday" accused Steve.
"Don't make it up," Dinda was a bit panicked. "Yesterday obviously I put my financial statements on the table the morning before an important meeting with a Japanese vendor. The hell you forgot about it."
Fearful of missing files, Dinda approaches Steve's desk and searches for the two files Steve meant. Steve's desk was full of stacked files, not even the ACC signing yet.
"Yesterday I left it here, and you saw it yourself," Dinda spoke as she examined all the files that had accumulated from top to bottom. She searched carefully for him, and Dinda panicked a little.
Dinda looked down, looking down at the table. I was afraid Steve would drop it.
Steve just chuckled at the panicked Dinda. He mendeham, pretending to be neutral that he does not know knowing.
"Forget that financial statement, just contact the finance department, ask for a copy of the soft copy. Don't bother yourself," comfort Steve. "Or you hug me, then I will forgive you for the loss of those two important documents" whispered Steve teasingly.
Hearing Steve say such a thing in the middle of her being panicked, Dinda peaked at once. "Why have you always wanted a romantic like this!" said Dinda sebal. "I'm in a panic because the financial statements are gone, you're teasing, annoying!"
Steve pulls Dinda and holds her on his thigh. "Don't bother yourself with looking for that document" whispered Steve slowly. "Just ask for a soft copy of the financial section, later also solve the problem" said Steve.
"I know that" replied Dinda. Then Dinda avoid the embrace of Steve who is still early in the morning asked to be spoiled.
Dinda felt guilty, even though Steve deliberately lied to her by eliminating the report. Dinda doesn't know at all if Steve's working on it.
"Then, I'll ask for a copy of the soft copy now," Dinda said goodbye. Dinda wanted to do her job, but Steve stopped her, that's not what Steve wanted.
"Wait a minute" said Steve. "There's actually something important I have to say today."
"It matters?" Dinda turned her body.
Steve nodded. "Yes, I want you to come with me tomorrow to Shanghai. There's an urgent situation at the head office."
Dinda scratched her neck, she felt itchy hearing service abroad. "Should this ministry include me?" ask Dinda. "What's better, bring in another more competent employee."
Dinda wants to advise Steve to bring other competent employees, so that the intended employees can develop themselves with this business trip.
Steve refuses, he doesn't heed Dinda's advice. "This trip was just an ordinary service, but suddenly. Why bring in another employee" Steve's hard. "Only bosses and secretaries can come!" emphatically.
"But I don't speak Mandarin" Dinda argued. "I can only speak English, even though my TOEFL is still minimal" he said.
"Hey," Steve got up from his chair, he approached Dinda. "There's no need to compare yourself to other people's abilities" Steve entertained. "In Shanghai, my elders also understand me who doesn't speak Mandarin. They appreciate me speaking a language other than that. Don't humble yourself like that."
"If you can't speak Mandarin, how can you communicate with your parents, obviously that's contrary to the culture you have," Dinda argues with her perspective.
Steve leaned his butt on the side of the table, he crossed his arms around his chest.
"You seem to have forgotten, that Mama is from Indonesia. Although Papa is native to China, he has also lived in Indonesia for quite a long time. It's not unusual for Papa to speak Indonesian" Steve explained.
"In my family, I'm the only one who can't speak Mandarin because I rarely live in Shanghai. Ever since I was a child, I moved around a lot. I have spent my time studying in Germany, and when I was a child I lived in Indonesia. After going part-time to college, I moved to Frankfurt. So my time in Shanghai can count, my three years there." Steve explained the explanation.
"Then, for three years in Shanghai, you never learned Mandarin?" Dinda wanted to tell Steve's story. He wondered what his teenage story was like.
"May I say I'm lazy to learn Mandarin. Because there are more than eight hundred characters to remember, I am a fool in memorization" Steve admitted.
"So, when you meet elders who invite you to speak in Mandarin, you use an interpreter?" Dinda guessed, if taking the gist of Steve's story, Dinda's guess should be right.
"No" replied Steve. "The Papa family can not only speak in Mandarin, but also speak in Indonesian, Spanish, French and German" Steve informed. "Also English. So, when they met me, they understood that they had to speak English or Indonesian, sometimes also in German. It's not that hard to communicate" Steve added.
"Ehm...." Dinda began to understand. "So, you speak in a foreign language, while Stevie's sister and aunt speak in Mandarin, that's what you mean," Dinda only guessed with baseless arguments.
"Hu'um," Steve nodded. "Sister Stevie was obedient to Papa and Mama since childhood, so she has been learning Mandarin since childhood. Because Papa and Mama thought they wouldn't have a child let alone a son" Steve recalled. "In the past, Mama and Papa thought Stevie was their only child, so they set Stevie up as the successor to the wong group's business empire. But who would have thought, finally this handsome and charming man who was so perfect was born. If I'm not around, then be a tough Stevie with a foreign language ability of up to six languages at once."
In speaking, Steve was already emitting a different aura from other people Dinda had met. A strong aura of a dashing leader, Dinda is more fascinated to see Steve who is a perfectionist in everything.
"Then why don't you learn Mandarin too? aren't you the son of your family, aren't you the successor of this company," Dinda wanted to know the reason, it seemed interesting to discuss Steve's story full of mystery and surprise. Dinda loved all of Steve's explanations so much, she was a good listener.
Steve tried to remember what happened next. "Ehm... I think because I'm a wayward and naughty child, in the end Papa and Mama give up demanding me on this," Steve detailed his explanation. "But I'm not like Stevie's brother who has to obey all the elders' wishes, I'm different, I'm Steve, everyone knows me!"
"Yes, I know if you're Steve. The most narcissistic man of the century with an inhabitable language skill," Dinda grinned with a happy smile at Steve's story.
"Forget the talk of this weird language" Steve switched. "We were talking about a business trip abroad, why now even gossip about my family" grumbled Steve.
"Oh yes, sorry," Dinda improvised. "I got carried away by gossip."
"Well, the deal is done, we'll be ready to fly to Shanghai as soon as possible" Steve hogging Dinda.
"But,"
"The last flight at six in the afternoon, get ready, I'll pick you up at home" Steve snatched. His orders cannot be disputable.
"I don't want to come, '" Dinda whined. "I'm ashamed, I've never been out of the country before, I feel awkward."
"No word resist, or I'll be angry" Steve threatened. "Do you want to see your boyfriend angry like yesterday" Steve whispered in Dinda's ear.
Dinda frowned, she said that morning in Steve's room. The man continued to impose Dinda's will. Dinda could not resist Steve's compelling will. "Yes, yes, I'm coming, '" replied Dinda briefly.
From behind the glass door, Stevie slid into Steve's room.
He saw Dinda in his sister's room, when he saw Steve's lover Stevie's face immediately smiled.
"Hey," said Stevie. "My beloved Linda is here" Stevie unhesitatingly snatched Dinda from Steve.
"Jeez, you're getting prettier after a week without seeing each other" Stevie said. "It's not wrong that you can compete with me in terms of beauty" Stevie said, pinching Dinda's beautiful natural face.
Dinda felt blushing, especially in praise of Stevie who was beautiful just like a top-class artist. "Sister Stevie is too much" Dinda blushed.
Stevie nodded, she understood exactly what her sister meant.
"I heard you were going to Shanghai," Stevie pretended to ask not to know. "Is that true."
"Ah..... It was, in fact, just a business trip" replied Dinda. "Not a tourist trip."
"Ohh.." Stevie nodded, as if she understood. "Have known that the last flight to Shanghai was this afternoon" Stevie deliberately said.
"Yes, brother," nodded Dinda.
"There's no time to take care of the office today" Stevie reminded. "It's better to get ready now, rather than procrastinate," Stevie suggested. He gave his best advice. "It's too late."
"That's what I was thinking," Dinda's little heart spoke.
"Oh yeah, bad boss," Stevie talked to Steve. "How many days is your trip to Shanghai?"
"A month is enough" replied Steve.
"Hey," said Dinda. "That's too long," Dinda protested, she didn't want to linger in this business trip.
Stevie laughed, she liked Dinda's style of speech. "I'd better get Dinda to pack her first, Steve's gonna pick her up at Dinda's apartment" Stevie came up with the idea.
There was no problem, Steve agreed to his brother's idea. Dinda and Stevie go to Dinda's apartment, while Steve is still in the office.
Stevie's driving the car, she's good at driving the iron walk. At Dinda's apartment, Stevie helps the girl pack her clothes into a light-colored synthetic suitcase.
It's the first time Stevie has walked into Dinda's futuristic shack. Stevie with her ignorant eyes looked around the room.
Type of a woman in decorating the room decor.
Everything in Dinda's residence, did not escape the attention of the rogue spy Stevie. Until he stopped looking around Dinda's house after the girl interrupted him.
"Sister, I'm done" Dinda told me. He came to Stevie who was waiting for him earlier.
"Let off now?" Dinda. "Are you waiting for Steve to pick you up?"
Stevie looked at the clock on her phone screen. "Three o'clock in the afternoon, there's still plenty of time" Stevie said. "Just wait for Steve to come here, or you'll split up. Pity, miss each other later," Steve quipped as he chuckled.
She already knew the love story of the two, only that she pretended not to know. Stevie was being natural, as before, this woman was just being ordinary.
Dinda smiled forcefully. "Maybe Mr. Steve's busy, so he's not going to pick me up here."
"Sir Steve?" Stevie furrowed her brows. "Why call him Sir? Steve is enough!" Stevie suggested.
"Sir Steve is my boss, where maybe I will be disrespectful to my own boss" he said. "Sister Stevie is bragging."
"If you don't want to call Steve, just call Udin," Stevie gives an option. "He was called Udin by his grandmother" Stevie told the court.
"Huh, Udin!" Dinda pretended to be plain.
"Yes, Udin" Stevie replied. "Steve has an Indonesian name, HASSANUDIN," Stevie spelled. "That's the name, you have to remember that!"
"Ha-ssa-nu-din," Dinda nodded while pretending to memorize Steve's name. Actually Dinda already knows, it's just that Dinda did not know Steve's name.
Stevie and Dinda were sitting in the living room. The door of Dinda's apartment opened, and clearly her voice sounded a little rowdy.
The sound of footsteps accompanied by the sound of closed door leaves.
"What's that sound?" stevie was suspicious. "No way there's this crap?" Stevie turned her eyes towards the door.
"Oh, it's Miko and Niko" Dinda replied. "They're home."
"Miko and Niko?" Stevie imitates Dinda's voice. "Who are they?"
"They're my sisters, they happen to be twins" explained Dinda.
Stevie oh little. Coincidentally Niko and Miko have just returned home from school complete with her High School uniform.
They passed by Dinda and Stevie who were sitting in the living room right in front of their second room.
"Sore brother," said Niko.
Stevie, who saw Niko, recognized her immediately. "It's your sister" Stevie pointed.
"Yes" nodded Dinda. "He's Niko."
"Oh.... So..." Stevie was interested in seeing Niko. "It turns out that the belagio collection ad model plastered on electronic advertising screens along the street in Hong Kong, that's your sister?" Stevie confirm.
Dinda nodded, apparently Stevie had not known that Dinda had a sister.
Or Steve didn't tell his brother that Miko was Dinda's sister.
"I think the model in the company lease is a newly debuted idol" Stevie said.
Dinda chuckles. "Maybe they're idols, Stevie likes to joke around" Dinda said. She blushed as her sister was praised to look like an idol.
"But to be honest" Stevie spoke casually. "I think Steve's model of choice is a rising new idol. His face was Mongoloid," Stevie praised.
"No," refuted the subtle dinda. "Maybe my sisters are idols. After all, even if they are idols who are there later they are bullied online because the standard of good looks below average."
"Hey, don't be so humble" Stevie said. "Your eyes should be checked by the dentist, so they don't get hollow" Stevie said.
"I don't think I'm a cataract," Dinda laughed. "Sister Stevie is also funny, also friendly" Dinda said. " It's not wrong Mr. Steve has an older brother who has a charismatic background full of charm."
"Hoi," Stevie pointed to Dinda. "You don't have to praise that, just think of me as your brother, too" Stevie offered.
Dinda and Stevie sat across the street, Stevie's hand unable to play the keys to her car that had a lot of hangers around the keys.
"By the way, old Steve came to pick you up, by the way" Stevie turned to talk.
"Maybe he's on his way," Dinda guessed so. "Or the road could be jammed, right now working hours, must be a bit crowded street."
"It could be, '" Stevie. "We'll wait a minute, maybe he'll be here soon."
Dinda must have been patiently waiting for him, even Dinda hoped Steve would not come at all. That's her wish.
"By the way, you don't want to introduce me to the handsome guy" Stevie said.
"Oh, I almost forgot;" replied Dinda. "I'm sorry I almost forgot this part!" exclaims Dinda embarrassed for having been reprimanded Stevie.
Stevie is bluffing her teeth, she is angry at Dinda who keeps her sisters a secret.
"Miko, Niko," cried Dinda. "Let's dong for a second, I want to know you guys with Pan Steve's brother."
They did not reply, but suddenly came out in neat clothes from their respective rooms.
"Shirt you're wearing different clothes?" Stevie protesting. "You're twins, why should you wear different clothes and pants anyway?" stevie wants to know.
"Because we're identical twins, then we have to look different" explained Niko. "People always mistake, which is why we always want to be different from the other twins" Niko said.
Stevie understood, she nodded in understanding the state of the twins.
