The morning sunlight came in and scattered behind the window curtain.
Dinda woke up from her sleep, followed by a sudden headache.
Even her eyes were puffy from last night's crying. Then Dinda remembered what she had done.
She cried in Steve's arms that night, but afterwards she knew nothing of the end of her crying.
"Is this a dream?" Dinda screamed in panic after her eyes began to notice the events she had remembered.
"It's not a dream. It's real." Steve sat on the sofa close to where Dinda was lying.
She recalls when Dinda began to wake up from her long sleep the night before.
"Sir Steve! How could you be in my room." Dinda was shocked as the man sat right next to her.
Steve scrunched his forehead. He raised both eyebrows and acted a little pretentious not understanding. Then he sat down.
"Take a look where this is."
Dinda felt that she was sleeping in her room. But since there was Steve in this room, Dinda glanced around, sweeping the room with a single look. It was not his room, but who did it appear to be? He doesn't know. Dinda thought she was sleeping in her room at first. It turns out he mistook.
"How am I supposed to be here, sir? This where is it? Mr. Steve didn't desecrate me, did he?" Dinda asked her expression more panicked because she still felt foreign to the room she was sleeping in.
"You're in my house. Last night you fainted after sobbing. Maybe you're tired of crying, so you flooded my suit last night." Steve replies to details that happened last night.
"And one more! I didn't desecrate you. You can check yourself you are still holy or not. If I was a hundred percent pure virgin. I'll probably give up my virginity to an ugly girl like you. Are you holy or not? Only you know. Unless you allow me to make a child with you, I gladly accept it." continued Steve added to the disguised talk while teasing him. He approached Dinda seducing and whispering in her ear.
"No! Nah! Nah! Where may I allow Mr. Steve to desecrate me, make the child even know I am holy or not. This is my privacy." Reply Dinda avoid fierce.
Steve scrunched his forehead again while grunting and massaging his brain. Understandably, that morning Dinda was very protective of him.
Dinda looked into the blanket, making sure that she was still wrapped in full dress or not.
"Thank God" Dinda said after seeing herself whole in clean clothes.
"But? Who's replacing my clothes?" Dinda realized that that morning she was no longer wearing her clothes last night.
"Aunt Yan who replaced your clothes. Don't be plain-ass, where might I peek at your personal belongings." Steve answered a little arrogantly.
Dinda again gave herself the protection to cover her chest with Cross arms.
Dinda then remembered that last night must have been disgusted for Steve for holding his tears that flooded the man's expensive suit.
"That's.... Last night... I'm sorry, sir." Said Dinda behaving innocently like a kitten who was cribbing.
"It's okay. It's just that your tears were mixed with snot last night. That's why I forgive you only tears. What about that mucus coming out of your nose? I seem to need a pretty good compensation." Tukas Steve pretended to be a nut.
Dinda knew she had done something wrong. He would not dispute it let alone avoid this incident. He resigned to the circumstances. "I'll pay for Mr. Steve's suit. But not now. Later, when I'm rich. I beg you, Steve, don't add a huge burden to me."
Hearing Dinda's funny words actually made Steve want to laugh out loud. He was thinking too much out of nowhere, even though Steve's words were just a joke. But his meek image was unlikely to be released that morning let alone he was famous for his fierce face. So to cover that he was wanting to be uproar, Steve answered him snobs. "Ehm.... Okay. If you are already rich, pay all my losses which I have totaled ninety-six billion. Plus flowers for four years."
"Well... Ninety-six billion plus four-year interest? Just for last night's suit?" Dinda replied in shock. Who would believe in such a loss.
Steve's words were far-fetched, but with his leisure Steve approached Dinda's face while telling the truth about him. "Not the suit in question? But your snot is what I mean." Steve's reply scared Dinda.
Dinda remembers exactly what she did last night. Although he did not remember clearly if there was snot stuck in Steve's suit, Dinda did not deny it. Most likely he was a grim. Because Sangking felt bad for his actions that cried even flooded the man's suit, making this woman did not want to discuss the problem again last night because she had blushed embarrassed.
"alright. I understand that my snot is the evil impact of my career. I'll pay for everything plus interest. But I'll pay when I'm the wife of the arrogant CEO. If I'm still poor now, there's nothing Mr. Steve can take from me."
Seeing this innocent and innocent expression of Dinda made Steve laugh slightly in satisfaction. A smile spread across his face that looked radiant.
"Should we make another contract? Who knows, you might deny it someday. I'm afraid of losing any moment when you run away with all my money."
"No. No more agreements needed. I'll remember it and I promise not to run away." Timpal Dinda reassured Steve.
"Goodoo. We're both welcome if this is the deal." Steve said with satisfaction.
Dinda took a long breath. Relieved to finally hear this ridiculous deal. Then Dinda remembered her sister Miko. Last night he was with his sister, but this morning he didn't see her?
"Then Miko? Where the hell is he?" Dinda asked leaving the snot problem earlier.
"He went to school this morning. You don't have to worry about him. He's been taken by Zico." Steve replied, Dinda relaxed.
He sat on the sofa with his hands crossed on his chest. She had been enjoying Dinda's beautiful face in her sleep. But Steve won't admit it so easily to Dinda. Ever since the woman fainted from the exhaustion of crying, Steve sat all night awake staring at the girl. While sleeping he delirious about the little story.
Dinda remembered last night's story. Before he forgot all about it, Dinda had seen Poto himself in childhood along with his rescue boy.
"Every night. Is it true if everything is real. Mr. Steve was the boy who saved me back then. Let's just make it real." Dinda asked curiously. For he had forgotten what had happened. This morning, he re-told the little story.
Steve didn't say a word. He was sure that Dinda would notice. He just stared at Dinda's doubtful face and climbed both eyebrows. Steve's face was full of intrigue when he saw Dinda.
So many questions in my mind. He slightly recalled that last night in Steve's arms, the man admitted it. He admitted that the boy was him. The boy in the photo was with her at the time. Seeing Steve's expression as if telling the truth made Dinda shudder slightly moved. Dinda began to notice.
"I'm sorry sir. I really didn't realize that Mr. Steve was that kid all along. I was foolish to recognize the Father then by now."
"You are innocent. I did deliberately want to cover all of this from you. I'm sorry I've been so hard on you all this time. That's all I've done because I don't want you to realize that I've been watching you secretly all this time." Steve is getting closer to Dinda. She spoke softly that morning while holding both of Dinda's shoulders still clinging to the silk blanket.
"But why did Mr. Steve use the name Johan at that time. Because of that name I ended up mistakenly thinking that the child who had been helping me was Brother Johan. What made you lie to me by hiding your identity." Dinda sued Steve as her eyes began to cry.
He repeated the story last night with a story that is no less dramatic.
Steve thoughtlessly hugged Dinda. He was a little embarrassed to admit that all this time Dinda felt lied to by his attitude.
"Actually I was desperate. Coincidentally before meeting you, I had a fight with a boy named Johan. Johan is always bothering you now. As long as I thought about the name of the child, I accidentally saw you drowning. I'm helping you, and then when you ask me what's my name? I don't know why it was the name of that kid that crossed my brain.
Trust me, I never wanted to lie to you all this time." Whispering Steve convinced Dinda while stroking the woman's soft hair.
She hugged Dinda feeling and caressed the woman full of warmth.
"Sir Steve, do you know. Because of the promise at that time, I was willing to come to Jakarta just to meet you. I did it because I remembered our promise. But even what I got was the real Johan. It wasn't little Johan who turned out to be Mr. Steve. Why did you do all this to me? Are you testing my words." In Steve Dinda's arms still crying for an explanation.
Steve feels guilty. To be honest he had been paying enough attention to Dinda from afar but it was a pity that she never got a chance to get close to him.
"I know, you must have felt that I was a selfish man. But I still remember our promise back then. You no longer need to doubt all this. I used the name Johan not because I wanted to lie to you, but I really hated the boy's name."
"But why did you do all this. I didn't know what it was to get married like Steve promised. No. gabe. I mean, I promise you.
But after I thought at my age it was enough. Only then did I understand that speech at that time was plain speech of a child who did not understand what the world meant today." Dinda was still in the same tone, sobbing in Steve's arms.
"I'm not looking for you because I really want to get married. But I just want to... Just want to."
Steve knew that this would be hard to accept. But he understands the situation. He wiped away the tears Dinda could not bear.
Then Steve hugged her back as tightly as possible. Steve did it solely he felt guilty for not acknowledging the truth that he actually knew this story.
"Have not cried. I knew this would happen sooner or later. Now we know the truth side. There's nothing we need to discuss anymore." Steve spoke to calm Dinda. In his arms he stroked the girl gently.
Dinda was still crying. He enjoys the comfort of Steve's warm body. This is the umpteenth time the man has made her comfortable. As if he was being embraced by his father, Dinda enjoyed this act of Steve. Dinda finally knew the true meaning of this impudence.
Maybe God is testing them in an unusual way. Dinda had not realized that all of this was the result of a dark destiny.
Destiny unites them. It is also fate that brings them together until the two are bound in this monotonous relationship. Dinda was a little relieved after knowing all this was revealed. So the burden on Johan was gone. Dinda thought it was fitting that Johan never remembered the promise. Remembering their childhood. It was not Johan who saved him.
"You don't cry anymore. I promise, from now on I won't let you cry anymore. Whatever happens, I will be willing to take all your grief. I'm willing to be your container when crying. As long as you are happy, I am willing to do everything. I'm willing to give you my shoulder to lean on. Everything I'm willing to give you if you don't cry anymore." Steve calms Dinda down. His hand stroked the woman's hair back.
Dinda is now beginning to be touched by all of Steve's sweet sayings. At first he felt that Steve had never been serious about his remarks. Like most men out there who only play games with women, then after getting bored they will throw it away. But, after he said it repeatedly then Dinda began to understand that Steve sincerely liked it.
"Sir. I love Mr. Steve, too." In that embrace Dinda still had time to say his heart. Dinda admits it a little more courage.
Steve wasn't surprised because he knew that Dinda would say this.
"I know that. I know you like me. But you can no longer call me sir. I'm a little upset to hear that."
Dinda looked up at Steve's eyes. The sparkling eyes made Dinda even more fascinated. "Then, what should I call Mr. Steve?" Ask Dinda for advice.
"Steve's. You can just call me Steve. I don't want any formalities between the two of us." Steve replied to Dinda straightforwardly.
Calling Steve was actually for Dinda not used to.
Dinda is actually used to calling someone with a formal call sir and such. He felt awkward calling Steve without a title behind him.
"Steve's?! Isn't it too weird?"
Steve smiled as the woman said her name as if she was unfamiliar. "What do you want to call me? Just don't call me sir. I don't like it."
"How about I call Steve Koko. Is not Mr. Steve good if called Koko especially Mr. Steve Chinese. So a little cute and adorable as I called out to her." Out of nowhere this thought, Steve who heard Koko's call was a little amused when Dinda said it.
Steve swallowed his bitter gulp. It is not expected that Dinda will call him Koko. "I don't really like this call."
"Why? Is it too bad for Koko?" Dinda answered the lightning Steve said.
"I actually have my Indonesian name. I mean, I have a special call from grandma." Steve was a little shy about revealing his nickname.
Dinda wondered what the name was. Dinda guessed that his name must be so good that Steve's mouth was a little stifled to say it.
"Special call from grandma?" Dinda repeated it while looking curiously at the man's face.
Steve nodded confirming Dinda's words. "Yes. Special call from grandma!" Steve confirmed once again.
"Let's say. What is the name of Indonesia Koko." Dinda lured Steve to be honest. Dinda began to wonder at this call. He responded a little cheerful and enthusiastic.
"But you promise not to laugh at me. Okay." Okay."
"Yes I promise. I won't laugh at Koko one bit." Dinda smiled back a little pretentious.
Steve mendeham. She didn't have the heart to say it, but the girl wanted to know the name. "Actually my grandmother called me HASSANUDIN. I know this name is a bit old-fashioned, but grandma keeps calling me HASSANUDIN. This is my Indonesian name, but I like it even though many people say my name is old-fashioned and does not match my handsome face."
Dinda chuckled a little after hearing this name. Moreover, Steve's accent in praising himself by saying the word 'Handsome.'
Dinda tried to be rational even though her mouth could not hold back the laughter. He naturalized his facial expression in response to Steve's remark so that the man didn't scold him.
"Actually the name HASSANUDIN is not a bad name. It's just people who respond to it who can't appreciate someone else's name. I like it, Brother Hassan."
"Sir Hassan." Steve was a little surprised, because Dinda called him Kak.
Steve pampered on Dinda who was still hanging in his arms.
"You can call me HASSANUDIN. I love it when you call me brother Hassan. Whatever your call I'll love it." Steve replied to Dinda's call was not denied. Unlike usual, this time Steve was quite warm.
Dinda smiled narrowing her eyes. He was happy to know this side.
"Oh yes, why did Brother Hassan yesterday disappear from the Tama family banquet. Where my brother Hassan is going." Dinda asked this because this question started to cross her brain.
Steve pinched Dinda's cheek. And he started to remember what happened yesterday. The incident where he went and left the two of them without telling first.
"Actually I...."
