RESIGNING

It's nine in the morning, Dinda hasn't gotten to work yet. The desk is still empty. Twice Mira approached her desk, Dinda still did not show up.

Zico has also come to Dinda's desk several times because it needs some important files. Just like Mira earlier, Zico still saw the workbench was empty. Dinda hasn't shown up at the office.

"If Dinda has come, tell her straight to my room now. Also bring the sales report file last month" Zico told Mira. From his office intercom, Zico contacted Mira, the chief financial officer.

After saying to Mira, he immediately closed his intercom. Back to work, busied yourself with some files that had piled up since yesterday.

"Not as usual Dinda is like this. Usually on time, but this morning it didn't come. Maybe he didn't come in?"

Last night Dinda was fine overtime with him. But this morning he didn't show up at the office, made some abandoned work— that Dinda had to handle. Dizziness the head of Mira if the girl does not show herself in the office.

At Dinda's house, Yuri's mother was a bit worried about her son. It was nine in the morning, he had not come out of his room yet.

Because since last night Dinda did not come out of the room, Ibu Yuri worried about Dinda. Even though every mother of Yuri knocked on her bedroom door, Dinda always replied. Still, fear must exist.

"Minda. It's nine o'clock. Come on out, have breakfast with me." From outside the door, Mother Yuri called out to her again while eavesdropping on her son's voice. "Miss....."

"Dinda's not hungry, ma'am" she replied from inside the room. "Mother if you want breakfast. Breakfast by yourself. No need to wait for Dinda."

"You haven't been out of your room since last night. I'm afraid that you're okay" said Ms. Yuri. He still stuck his earlobe on the door of Dinda's room.

"Dinda is okay, Mom. Don't think about Dinda," he replied again from the room.

CK, this kid is so stubborn. When can he think of himself like this. Yuri's mother grumbled softly in front of her daughter's bedroom door. Because of the incident with Steve that night that happened almost a month, since then Dinda also turned into a behead.

His work spirit, spirit of life and spirit in daily activities alone are no longer visible in Dinda. Usually he was always cheerful, now turned into an endless sorrow. Mother Yuri, is a Mother figure who is sensitive to changes in her child's attitude, so that whatever Dinda does, does not escape the attention of the Mother.

Several times Mother Yuri called Dinda out of the room, still she did not flinch. Yuri's mother had gone back and forth in front of the room door, but Dinda did not turn the doorknob at all.

Miko had gone home twice. Because his sports shirt and basketball missed. But Dinda did not even step her foot out of the room. What worries behind the room made Mother Yuri completely unable to calm down.

After half an hour passed, Mother Yuri who was sitting in the living room, turned to the door of Dinda's room because of the sound of her daughter opening the door. But this time different, Dinda looks fresh and neat even though her eyes look a bit damp.

"Lohs. Went where? Neat like this?" ask Mother Yuri as she approached her daughter. Now that worry turned into relief. Dinda looks fine, although the look of the face is clearly depicted covering the sadness.

"Dinda's going to Mom's office" she replied. "There's a little business there."

"But it's almost noon. Aren't you afraid of being kicked out of the office?"

"You mean in SP?"

"What is SP?" ask Yuri's mother again who doesn't understand.

"SP is a warning letter. Maybe you mean like that?" Dinda guessed. Because basically, the mother does not understand the language of the prokem or slang.

"Well, that's it anyway. Emang Dinda is not afraid in... what. It's noon now" said his mother innocently.

"No, ma'am" replied Dinda again. This time Dinda smiled a little pushy even though it was heavy for the lips were flattering. "Dinda will not be in SP. It's his first time for Dinda, the office is gonna take her."

Yuri's mother scrunched her forehead, a bit strange for her because suddenly Dinda changed to look like usual. Moreover, seeing Dinda who seemed to cry from last night and suddenly came out of the room behaving naturally to hide her sadness.

Continues, he was also seen forcing a smile amidst the roaring sadness. Yuri's mother thought more and more about Dinda, afraid that she wasn't okay.

"Dinda wants to RESIGN Mom!"

"Huh? Resin?" Yuri's mother was a bit shocked, I don't know what her daughter said. He doesn't understand. "What is resin. How did you just hear?"

Dinda chuckled, Her mother is so innocent. "Resign, Mom. Not resin," he said again repeating the word about resign.

"Yes, what is it. Resins. You go to the resin, you go to the office. Is that?" his mother said guess.

Dinda shakes. "Dinda went to the office because she wanted to submit a letter of resignation as an employee. Usually we call it resign, which means resign or stop and such."

"Wait," his mother furrowed her brows. He seemed to have misheard what his son said earlier. "Stopped?"

"Yes, Mom." Dinda nodded, she had already decided on this since last night. Perhaps, this is a decision that no one can challenge. "Dinda's gonna stop working."

"Why would you want to stop suddenly like this?" ask Mother Yuri. "Suddenly like this, it feels a bit strange." Yuri's mother wanted to know the reason her daughter resigned from the office where she worked. Since graduating from college, Dinda has never had any intention of leaving a single job, let alone the work she has done has made her daughter a permanent employee. Dinda's decision that morning made Mother Yuri very surprised.

"Dinda's been deciding on it since last night. So, this morning Dinda was already with a unanimous mind, wanted to go to the office, submit this resignation letter," explained Dinda.

"If your decision to stop working is an absolute decision. Mommy can what? Not a working mom." Yuri's mother tried to understand her son. Although impressed in a hurry, Dinda will not change what he has said. "Originally Dinda thought that this decision was best for Mom's daughter. I will support you to stay excited. Be the Dinda who was like before. So, from now on Dinda beloved Mother must keep smiling, do not let her beautiful face disappear because moody continues." Yuri's mother pinched Dinda's cheek gently, forcing her son to stay happy.

Kala Dinda looked at her with a somewhat sumringah look, Mother Yuri wiped the bangs of her daughter's somewhat messy hair. "Don't because of Steve's son, you have to be moody. You have to prove that you. Can survive for him at this time," said Mother slowly. In tidying up the child's hair, really, Ibu Yuri wants Dinda to stay up.

Dinda nodded slowly, although Mother Yuri continued to nag her with advice, still Dinda could not do it. Excited in the midst of grief, it felt like fighting in the Battlefield but having to die in the rain of a thousand arrows. Boasting—think Dinda.

"Yes already Ma'am. Dinda left now yes," he said he wanted to pass. Do not forget for Dinda kiss the hands of the mother, which has become a habit for her and her sisters.

"Be careful on the road" cried Mother Yuri. He turned his hand to the princess who had left the yard.

This kid just worries me. Hopefully he can finish his job. Only prayers can you do for my son.

After seeing the princess leave, Ibu Yuri also went inside.

If it had been like this, everyone would have been in a situation of wanting to forget the past. Setting the future, which happened yesterday, just consider it a nightmare that has passed.

Dinda didn't actually want it to be like this, but, this has already become her destiny. He had to bury all those beautiful days with the man. Everything has become a memory of the past.

On the usual trip Dinda through, take the busway, get off the bus stop. It could be, he had to get used to riding in public transportation again. Before, as long as there was Steve— that man wouldn't let him go home without him.

But, since a few months Dinda no longer ride public transportation. It was a bit awkward, let alone the people on the busway paying attention to him. Suwer, Dinda felt increasingly foreign when the gazes of those people pointed at her.

Although a bit uncomfortable, Dinda tried to act ordinary. Anyway, he thought the office was close. As he got off the stop, right in front of his office, Dinda looked at the tall building.

"Maybe it's my last day here. In the future, whether I have a long life or not, I hope I can return to this office again."

While standing in front of the office building where she works, Dinda must let go of her unhappy past. The decision was already made, he had to resign from this place. Or Dinda will feel always in the shadows by Steve's face.

Until arriving at his office, maybe because all employees are busy working, so they do not see the arrival of Dinda at his desk. One by one Dinda's stuff is neatened, in the box, nothing goes unnoticed.

Dinda stared at Steve's room. The memories were not easy to make Dinda forget about him. Hope you're okay. I wish the letter I read that night was just a nightmare. Even if you're not here, I'll still love you. My departure from here is not because I want to avoid or forget you. But I'm trying—

While opening her work drawer, Dinda finds two bunny bandanas she once bought in Korea while on holiday in winter. While picking up the bandana in the drawer, Dinda smiled. The bandana is still here. Even if it's just a little thing, it's meaningless, but you've become part of my happy memories.

The memories are still in his mind. Men who used to balk do not want to wear bandanas because they keep the image in front of teenage children. Oh, really, Dinda misses that time. But, how hard he remembered that time, Dinda remained steadfast to forget this story. That pink bandana, he put it in the cardboard. And it will likely end up being a wasted item.

While he was packing all his belongings, Mira came over to Dinda.

"She!" exclaimed Mira who happened to have been waiting for his arrival. "Have you come in?"

Dinda nodded, her mouth feeling a bit heavy to say. As Mira approached her, the woman was shocked. Dinda's stuff is already packed in cardboard.

"Where are you going? How are your things all packed?" ask Mira to know.

"I want to resign" replied Dinda briefly. His limp body was unable to say at length.

"Suddenly like this?"

Dinda nodded, the corner of her lips slightly turned. "I've decided since yesterday. And I have to resign."

"But why Din? How fast is this?"

"It's okay, ma'am" replied dinda. "I'll work somewhere new. Or I'll get out of town. I just wanted to find a new atmosphere. Just like that, not because of anything weird."

"Din time, you have to resign. Yesterday Eva, now you. Why are you guys like this." Mira was a little heavy when she heard the word resign coming out of Dinda's mouth. Ah, this sudden decision made Mira at least somewhat think about it.

Dinda was okay before. Also, yesterday he was a bit tough waiting for news from Steve. But at this time, ah—eh, Mira was sorry to have to lose two of her colleagues.

Mira knows, this sudden decision was caused by Steve, his boss has ruined all the future of Dinda.

"I'm going to Zico's room first. I want to hand over my resignation letter to him. I left Mira first, yes," said Dinda wanted to pass.

"Minda." Before the woman left, Mira hugged her warmly. "May you be successful with your new career. Don't forget, if you have time, call me. I know we're not too close, but for me you're like my own sister. So take good care of yourself. Take care of your health, do not stay up too much again, later your acne appears again."

Dinda gave her a sweet smile, as Mira stopped hugging her. "Mbak Mira is also a good one here. I hope Mbak Mira becomes an honest, competent and responsible chief financial officer. Mira has also been considered like my own brother. So, next time, if I have time, I'll call Mira."

"Omma..." Mira said deeply. Hugged Dinda again. "You make me feel like I lost my own brother know not."

Dinda snorted, stroking Mira's back while smiling forcefully. Then ended his embrace of Mira. "I'm in Mr. Zico's room right now. Also, I send greetings to friends in the finance section. I'm sorry if I go straight home, I can't tell them."

"Okay, you take it easy. I'll tell you."

Actually, what Dinda decided today, was a bit heavy for Mira. Dinda is the only good friend who is even friendly. Although everyone obeyed Mira as the head of finance, but Mira felt, Dinda— is the most interesting among all. Especially when there is Eva, the two are very suitable, so Mira feels a match in making friends in the work environment.

But now he has to let two of his friends resign. Oh, unfortunately my fate.
