UNINTENTIONALLY

UNINTENTIONALLY
Episode 115's

A doctor, about thirty years old, came out of the room where Steve was treated.

I don't know what news will be said, his tired face looks leave sweat.

For about three hours in the operating room, when the doctor came out of the room somewhat gave room for relief.

Dinda, who was sitting in front of the emergency room, quickly stood up.

"How's Dok doing?" ask Dinda worriedly.

"Patients successfully undergo surgical removal of nested bullets. But patients today are critical, let alone the blood that comes out quite a lot. Need a blood transfusion, just in case the blood needed is reduced."

"I'm Doc's brother" Stevie said. "You can take my blood. My brother and I have matching blood."

The doctor smiled. "There's no need to hurry" he said. "The blood supply for the patient is currently sufficient. Moreover, his blood was not a rare type of blood. We will contact you if the blood in the hospital runs out of stock. If your blood is needed, hospital services will quickly take the initiative."

"Thank God." Stevie massaged her chest, she was so grateful. He thought it was like he was in a drama, drained of blood, and the doctor claimed that his blood was scarce. Can't dizzy seven-round Stevie think of where to get blood like that.

"Oh, yes. By the way, how's he doing? Is he gonna be okay?" ask Stevie.

"For the circumstances. Besides ten bullets. Patients are also exposed to an electric shock that is quite powerful paralyzing humans. This electricity makes the patient's entire body completely paralyzed. I just want to give advice, the patient should be brought to Germany. The facilities are complete there. All patients can cure paralysis in the body." The doctor told me there was no other choice. Except Steve had to be treated in a hospital which is quite adequate although not as sophisticated as in Germany.

Dinda who heard him was completely paralyzed, like being rained down by a thousand arrows. As if the blood was no longer flowing, Dinda felt the world stop buzzing when she knew Steve was paralyzed.

Dinda sat down, then shed tears.

"Patients are very lucky. The bullet stimulated the abdomen, not the chest. The culprit deliberately attacked that part. And thankfully, God still gives us confidence in order to save patients' lives." The doctor told me back.

Come to think of it, it doesn't actually make sense. Where there are humans who can survive a bullet attack let alone as much as ten grains. Dinda who was with Steve from the beginning he was injured, did not know how Steve could survive.

As if he had been shot by just one bullet, Steve was very strong. Don't know if Dinda should be grateful that Steve can still breathe or if this is a man's luck.

Clearly, Dinda saw with her own eyes that Steve had been shot by a bullet. Even the flowing blood was real, not a scene design. Whatever kept Steve afloat, Dinda was so grateful. At least, his hope for Steve to live is likely even as big as corn kernels.

"I'll excuse you. If there is anything in the patient, you can call the doctor or nurse around," said the doctor and left.

Stevie just nodded. Then, he unconsciously saw Dinda was already limp. Stevie hugs Dinda, she wins the girl.

"It's all gotta be a lie, brother?" said Dinda sobbing on Stevie's shoulder. "The doctor was joking."

"Already! No cry. There is no point in crying. It won't change the situation that Steve's paralyzed."

"No brother!" ambush Dinda. "There must be a way Steve can heal. There must be a way."

"Minda." Stevie held Dinda's face. He knew what it was like to almost lose the man he loved. "You don't have to worry like this. I'll figure out a way to get Steve healed. For your sake."

"What if he doesn't recover? I'm afraid he'll be paralyzed forever."

"Hey! Oi! Listen to me!" Stevie exclaims. "Think about what's okay. I'm sure Steve will recover soon."

Dinda did not argue anything, Stevie's words can be trusted. Dinda felt her life was almost meaningless when Steve was unconscious. But God still loved Dinda, so he did not take what Dinda loved most. He didn't care, crying in the woman's arms. His whole temper really just blew it away.

When entering this sterile room, Dinda wears a mask and special hospital clothes, anti-germ.

When he saw Steve lying weakly unconscious, Dinda again shed her tears. The muscular body, now covered by the many stitches of wounds. Dinda remembered, where the man's stomach became his favorite when joking. The more he saw Steve's face, the more his heart ached to see the man's suffering.

A lot of bandages cover the front of his body. His white skin looked somewhat pale, the blood flowing from the infusion slowly decreased.

Dinda wanted to hug him, but conditions were not possible. Steve was too weak, his feelings, Dinda's bones felt lost seeing Steve like this.

"If we didn't go to the boutique then, it's possible that this incident wouldn't happen again."

Under Steve's bed ward, Dinda looked down sobbing. From the words of Stevie earlier, this is the second time Steve received an attack from the Kim clan.

Dinda's mind felt in verse, really, for whatever sake, if only time could be repeated. Dinda will not heed Steve's willingness to make a wedding dress for the wedding. But—all it was in vain. Everything has happened, regret will only leave sadness at the end.

"You promised you'd stay with me no matter what. But why are you like this, I'm sorry. Regret letting you sacrifice a life like this."

Dinda's hand held on to the edge of the ward, accidentally, Steve's hand touched her. Dinda thought she was conscious, and she turned to Steve. But in fact he was wrong, it was just a twitch. Normal things that are often done by patients who are not fully aware.

"If I survive, let's get married after this. But if I'm no more, throw away all the mementos I've ever given you. Forget me, live quietly with the man you love. Promise to be happy."

Dinda remembered these words. The words that made his mind feel battered, as if torn apart. Steve shouldn't have said that. How strongly Dinda wanted to forget those words, still. Her tears could not forget this quickly.

"Why? Why do you have to be like this. You promised to always be by my side, accompanying me. Carve out the good times. Build a family as you expect. Everything I want to do with you. Only thou. But why—"

Not felt, the tears could not stop dripping. Oh, the sweat can't be held anymore.

Losing someone you love most is a pain that has no cure. Even more painful than anything.

God is fair, every meeting there must be a farewell. And this is his destiny, meeting Steve who initially Dinda did not like, now turned into a woman who is unable to let her lover go. His love for Steve cannot be measured by an entity alone.

Unknowingly, his attitude that had been indifferent to Steve, made him know that there was still a man who sincerely loved him.

For Dinda, happiness is simple. Always on the side of loved ones, every waking up there is a smile painted on the bed.

While sleeping, someone hugged her warmly. When cooking, there is a taste for how the cuisine he makes. Honestly, that criterion was already in Steve.

Then, a shadow as the man said he wanted to build a small family. Where their days will be filled with smiles from their hearts. Really, that imagination made Dinda realize. That the man's imagination at this time had already made his hopes dashed.

Dinda looked back at Steve who was lying weakly on top of the ward. He held Steve's hand which was attached to an infusion hose, kissing him repeatedly accompanied by an unstoppable cry.

"Since I saw you, everything stopped. I don't know when this happened, but when you came to me. I feel like my world you've stolen, you haven't even left me a single life. Everything is gone—a dream. You made me tremble, and I knew that this was his destiny. I love you. Did you hear that? Only thou. Even if you close your eyes, there will be no boss I will continue to say that I love you more than anything. Your love for me is like the wind. I can't see it, but I can feel it. Whenever, wherever you are, I will always love you. How can I stay away from your love. Even forgetting your face for a second, I couldn't bear it. This heart always wants to know you, whenever and wherever."

How loud Dinda whispered in Steve's ear, the man would not notice from his coma—.

But one of Dinda's prayers in her tears. He hopes, Steve will continue to remember it—remember their story that was promised.
