The woman looked at me closely from earlier, shackled chin occasionally smiling. He was sitting right across the chair, in this living room.
“Not work?” the question is still staring at me excessively.
Obviously, my clothes are not formal, usually if I work wearing a mini skirt that is combined with a shirt and blouse, do not forget to be aligned with the heels, but this morning, the opposite. I was wearing a shirt, long jeans combined with sneakers. Yup, I'm comfortable if it looks simple like this, which is what Farah used to call ‘daughter tomboy’.
“Iya. This morning, Mr. Dion called for work. But as soon as he heard my voice and found out it was sick, it even forced me not to come in. He said just rest,”
“Well, told to rest why even hang out? After all, your face is pale, Key, you need to rest. You're afraid you're getting sick, too,”
“It’s okay!”
Farah scolded. “Sometimes you misplace your head hard on it,”
I cut myself and kept my shoes on. “But by the way, it feels like it's nice to have a boss like Mr. Dion, so understanding and caring,” he muttered further like thinking of something, while smiling strangely.
“Jeez, this woman!”
“What, anyway?” he gave a smile holding back a laugh while looking at me innocently pretentious.
“I know in your mind, Honey! Never mind, don't think weird to the husband of people anyway he already has children, you know, teenagers even,”
Laughter echoes. “And you know, I just love the wallet, not the person,”
My breath is heard. Grabbing my black jeans bag and wearing it, then approaching Farah and pulling her nose red. “That's a deal, baby! Crazyhead!” my timpal smiled as he grimaced in pain, but his expression was only irritated and then scowled. “Stupid highly!” I laughed then passed away, after waving and saying goodbye.
Sometimes, that woman makes me shut up and think in one night. The words he used to give me about Navroy, whether crazy, unhealthy or whatever he called them, I also don't know why this heart sometimes acts out of logic. I feel like I am in the middle of the sea with the currents so rapids. On the other hand, when I give up, I will drown, but if I fight, it will hurt me. In the end, whatever end I meet one day, still the darkness is created. I don't know what it is right now, but for sure, whatever I'm choosing right now and I'm running, just hoping, hopefully, to be strong against a storm someday.
It took half an hour to use the busway, while heading to the mall. At eleven o'clock in the afternoon, I arrived at this place. Ratu Indah Mall, a large building with a magnificent palace design. Its sprawling building is in harmony with the embellished courtyard with several palm trees growing on the side of its street and garden. While the basemant is near the north back door of the mall, until it must pass through the front yard south door. I waited for Navroy right next to the side of the page—Taman west which is not far from the lobby. Deliberately come here, so it is easy to meet him because close to the highway— is a taxi stop and other vehicles.
Minute....
the clock....
even dusk drowned and almost drowned, his white pointed nose was still not visible as well. I don't know where he is right now.Even my chat and phone were not answered. My body started to have a fever. Moreover, this breath and both eyes were already hot, and it made me uncomfortable. I was straddling, hoping that the coldness that enveloped me could dim quickly.
Where are you, Navroy?
My head was raised and twisted quickly, as a sound not far from here—entah came from which direction, detected by my senses. A voice that feels so familiar in the ear, which often makes my heart beat fast when so beautiful flow in this heart. Again, the voice was heard, but it was not clear what it was saying, like a language I could not understand.
Could she? But—
“Hey, how can I help you? Your face looks very pale, it looks like you.. “ sentences in English that are still with a foreign voice heard for a moment, are now no longer detected in my ears.
My eyes are still focused on the man with the white shirt and shorts combined with the sneakers— is turning his back while carrying two large bags no matter what the content. His body turned and looked here. Yeah, in our direction. He was there, with a surprised look on our face, even more so those eyes were fixed on my eyeballs.
“Navroy?”
“Navroy?” the voice of the stranger next to me is now reciting the name I just called it.
I sighed, closing my eyes after rubbing my face. It was like crying, God! Even these tears have been in the eyes.
“Let's go home! I don't think it's any of our business,” Navroy's voice suddenly sounded and this time he deliberately used English on this man in front of me, making me turn my head. I just realized, apparently they know each other and now take the friend home.
“Wait! This girl seems sick, she can't be alone to go home—“
They came back in a language I didn't understand at the end of the sentence. It sounds like arguing. With my eyes still glazed over, I approached them, looking at the annoying man. The man I foolishly waited for this evening, but .. Jesus!
“You are satisfied, what have you done?” tanyaku interrupts between their debates— in English. He looked at me defensively.
“I told you, don't come! Just rest at home because you're sick!” he looked at me sharply.
“What do you care about me, huh? You know, I stupidly waited for you from eleven o'clock in the afternoon until now, but you easily said that? Ever not, you think about someone else? Care about others?” I looked at him in tears, but he just sighed, not sure what his expression was right now.
“I know I'm sick right now, but you should know, Navroy, no matter how sick I am, even in the middle of a storm, I'm not a coward like you think who can keep no promises. What's wrong if I just want to be friends with you? Is that wrong? But you, you seem to be evading, like I'm the worst monster and creature in the world!" My eyes growled in tears. His expression was still the same, Flat, cold, with the glare of the eyes that could not be separated from my gaze. My half smile seemed. "Thank’s, for this stupidity,” continued me while patting his arm slowly, wiping my tears in a flat gaze, reaching for the bag that had been lying on the floor, then passing away leaving them.
It feels like the pain is felt here, in the heart that has long died of disappointment, now wet again with disappointment anyway. Perhaps, it would slowly become a gaping wound. Surprisingly, these tears were still without ceasing to flow. Even more unlucky, when the people around looked at us excessively strangely.
Their debate was heard again vaguely in a language I did not understand. Then shortly thereafter, “Iya! But you shouldn't treat him like that! You see, he sacrificed for you, but you were hard and angry with him! What's wrong with you, man? Usually only you among us are so caring and appreciative of women, but right now, it is so inversely proportional!”
“Already! I want to go home! If you still want to help her, just go by yourself!”cold elbow.
*Is that what I hate? So easily say it like that?
I am now standing right on the edge of highway—still in front of Ratu Indah Mall waiting for public transportation or something like that. My head is like a dizzy, about to explode, especially these eyes feel swollen, sore and hot. Looks like my fever's getting higher.
“Are you okay?” a foreign voice is now heard. Apparently that guy was with Navroy. He was currently standing next to me, a faint smile expanding there and rubbing on me as I turned my head then nodded.
“You didn't come home?” he shook his head as my question in English came out.
“Don't think of that stupid guy. You know, sometimes his brain shorted! Huft, I don't understand why he's acting like that either. Usually, he is the one who cares and appreciates women the most. But, this is completely different. Really, believe me, he's actually nice and fun,” I lowered my head and smiled.
Even this guy is so inversely proportional to that shitty guy. So chatty. Enough to calm me down at the moment, even more the tightness is starting to dampen.
“Don't be loud, he might go berserk if he hears it,” my mouth starts joking, then our weirdness sounds, simultaneously.
I looked at the man in a smile, who was still enjoying his chuckle. He was so easy and laughed. If the one next to me right now was Navroy, how nice it would be to make that man laugh, happy. Yeah, if!
“Hey, did I make a mistake?” a little flinched hearing him ask in confusion after his laughter subsided. Apparently he's been watching me. My eyebrows are just cringing.
“Umm?”
“Your face, why change that fast his expression? Like sad. Was my laughter so scary that you were sad?” it was his laughter this time that formed a smile back.
Okay, he's a typical humorous guy!
“Include, I'm Sadeev! And you, must be Keysa, right?” my brows frowned, then grabbed his outstretched hand.
“How can you know?”
His big smile evaporated. “Friends of one of his workout group once told me, that there was a girl named Keysa who was close to him, in addition to her boyfriend. And well, when I saw you earlier, despite everything, I was sure you were the one. Because, you're the only girl he's familiar with right now, other than a girlfriend,”
“I?” he nodded at my astonished face.
For men the size of handsome, cool, and be the dream of the girls? I thought he was a player!
The man chuckled. I just realized, apparently my mind was being spoken. My smile was seen. “It should have been a clumsy behavior back then,” my murmur with a small tone that I can make sure Sadeev did not hear it.
My smile grew amused as I remembered the first time I met him. His hands even shook while typing his social account id. Apparently that's the reason.
“He's a good guy, really, Key.” His mouth made me nod. I don't know, regardless of his attitude and the nature of his treatment towards me, this heart approves that sentence.
Sadeev had dismissed the Taxi, then looked at me. “Come in!”
“Sorry, what?” I asked with my eyebrows.
His soft breath sounded. “You should go home, Key. Looks like your energy drained out today. Eat and take your medicine, then take a break, okay?” i stare at.
Why is it so care? For someone he just met.
This time he breathed heavily. “The formula is right, you stubborn girl,”
“What?”
This man in Arabic-Afghanistan is just grinning. “Come, Keysa. Really, I can just go home quietly, if you take this cab. At least, it makes me believe that you will be fine,” his chatter that began to urge, especially when he began to open the passenger seat door and forced me to enter, although I stared in a face that did not agree.
“But, Sadeev—“
“We can argue that until the morning here, if you want,” is fast which makes me shut up for a moment after a moment of silence and sighs in defeat.
“Alright!”
“Good girl!” light and then smiling. He then switched to the driver seat, then to me. “I've already paid argo taxi. Take care and be careful. See you!” obviously finally.
“See you?” my floating smile looked at him questioningly. However, only a wave of hands that appear while smiling widely.
Before the taxi was really about to leave this place, my eyes momentarily glanced towards the inside of the Mall courtyard, but the hope in my little heart instantly dimmed to create a sense of disappointment and sadness in my mind.
Yes, he really left me, here, without the slightest care, even without his apologies and parting ways.
And that fact hit me weird. Is a pain.
