“The stock auction will be held another week, we must win there.” Say a girl and stare intensely at Jack.

Jack now took a deep breath and threw it away slowly, almost three weeks ago he studied all the companies that participated in the auction there. Moreover, he also has to deal with some internal problems of the company. He's really so tired. And he wanted it all to end quickly.

“Do we have to ask for help on PH Group this time Jack?”

*PH Group \= The owner of the company is Jack's best friend, and also had an affair behind Jack with Mary*

Jack now glanced at Mary at a glance and again struggled with the file, as if very uninterested in Mary's proposal this time. He didn't want to trouble anyone with the problems that had befallen him lately.

“No, I don't want to tell him with my company's current state.”

Mary sighed in hearing Jack's reply. Jack always behaves like this. In the harsh nature of the man, he was so unwilling to trouble others, whereas he really needed help this time.

“You already helped the company rise a few years ago.”

“And that doesn't mean I want him to repay me, I did it because he is my best friend.”

Hearing Jack's reply, Mary smiled faintly. This was why he still expected Jack to come back to him. Jack never even brought up his dark past, even though he still considered the man his best friend after what he had done.

“How is Clara doing?”

Mary now squinted her eyes, and every day that question was asked by Jack. Even after a few more days the auction will begin. Now that he regrets being in his position this time, it's been almost three weeks Jack hasn't seen Clara. But the question seemed endless, and he was tired of answering it.

“Doctors and others keep Clara much tighter, previous events will not be repeated again.”

Jack now nodded and returned struggling with some files in his grip. But his eyes looked back at Mary, clearly Mary who looked at him with doubt. Jack looked at the girl confused.

“What's up? Is there something you want to say?" Jack was confused. Mary was now biting her lower lip in worry and looking the other way, looking she was so nervous to say something.

“A week ago there was a man visiting Clara.”

“Men?” Jack now closed the file and looked at Mary intensely.

“His face was not caught on the hospital's CCTV cameras, while Clara's room CCTV was coincidentally under repair. Are you suspecting someone?”

“Is this in line with what I think?” Mary asked and looked at Jack doubtfully.

“Chris?” Jack asked carefully, next Mary seemed to nod slowly.

Jack was now clucking in annoyance and pounding the table strongly enough, his chest started to rise and fall withholding emotions. Perhaps the man was not provoked by his relationship with Mary. This was why he had not yet wanted to think about marriage with Clara. He did not want Clara to be the target of his business competitors. Business was so ruthless, and he didn't want Clara involved. But Chris is not a stupid man, the man has acted first to get close to his weakness, which is Clara.

Looking at Jack who was so emotional, Mary just looked at him sadly. Jack has lost so much, after losing his mother, and he also lost his father's affection from long ago. Especially how he was trying to protect the brother and nephew of his former brother-in-law. And foolishly how he had cheated on Jack with the man's best friend, the founder of PH Group. And for Jack, only Clara can reverse all of those slumps.

And now the lover is threatened because of his own business, the business he built from his labors with his mother. Clara is a lucky girl to him. Back when Jack was with him, the man was too busy with his work that there was no time for him. But with Clara as if Jack's personality changed. The man tried his hardest to protect her and was always there for her no matter what.

“How do you think Chris can know your relationship with Clara?”

Jack who was so emotional as if speechless to hear the question from Mary, Chris was even more concerned with his life. Moreover how a stock auction that only stayed a few more days, the man definitely had big plans.

“Only AR Group and a handful of people know about your relationship, even you never publish it on social media.”

*AR Group \= Companies where Clara works*

Mary and Jack looked at each other. Mary's right, even if she's with Clara on a date outside, she'll be wearing a private room. And he also discussed his relationship with Clara to Mr. Arthur to remain secret and only a few people in the company can know it all.

“Could anyone divulge it?” Mary asked curiously.

“No, no. Ordinary employees don't have time to know my relationship with Clara any deeper. I rarely visit AR Group.” Jack replied slowly, the man is still thinking hard. Mary and Jack looked at each other and nodded in understanding.

“Chris, the man is indeed full of surprises.” Say Mary with a big smile.

“According to you, who is his accomplice this time?”
