...Happy Reading ...
Jack stared at his monitor, almost two weeks after his argument with Mary in his office. This time Chris had already started taking steps to further knock him down, and he should not let his guard down.
Jack looked at the picture of himself with his mother on the table. Three years after her death, she still often placed a bouquet of white chrysanthemums on her mother's grave. The departure that was so stressful to her, one of the causes made her turn out to be like this. Seeing his mother who had been betrayed made his chest tight, and he would not stay silent for someone who dared to betray him.
“Tuan.”
Jack's eyes now turned to his assistant who was staring at him. Jack frowned, what else? Today he should take care of only the internal part of the company. Does anyone want to see him again?
“Nona Villegas wants to meet you.”
“Clara?”
Timmy – his assistant looks nodding. Jack took a deep breath, almost two weeks ago he didn't see Clara. Shouldn't Clara be having fun with Tiffany and some of her friends? But for sure he still told some of his subordinates to report to him where and with whom Clara went.
He actually realized, he was pushing Clara too much. But it was for the girl's good, she didn't want the events of three years ago to come back to her. That's the biggest reason to make Clara not close to any man.
“Let it in.”
“Good, Mr.”
The door to his room opened, Jack could see Clara in her favorite blue sea blouse. Clara looks so beautiful today. Didn't he work today? But Jack only realized when he saw Sunday on his monitor screen. It's not Clara who doesn't work, but she's the one who's too workaholic.
“What's up?”
“I've decided Jack.”
Clara said slowly, as Jack smiled. Did Clara follow his wishes? Does she want to abort the baby? Obviously, if not for what reason did he come to his office? He had already given the girl a month to prepare everything, and it was only two weeks and she had already met him.
Clara was now walking towards the chair right in front of her, the girl reached into something in the tote bag she was carrying. Jack flinched when the girl now took out her black card and a debit card and placed it on the table.
“I've saved up to replace my debt to you first.” Jack looked at Clara in confusion.
The girl went back to grab something in her bag and placed a key on the table. Jack knows, this is the key to the house he gave Clara six years ago.
“My mother and I moved from there one week ago.” Clara said calmly, Jack looked at Clara in disbelief, the man smiled sinisterly.
“You moved without my permission?!”
Clara could see Jack now looking at her in anger. He no longer cared, the pressure that Jack put on him was much greater than what he received. Although Jack would torture her though, this was still his decision.
“I will keep the baby I have Jack, no matter how you decide.”
Clara could see clearly now that Jack was clenching his hands tightly. He always obeyed all Jack's decisions, but not this time. An innocent life is at stake, and he will not let that happen.
“Do you know my people are following you?”
Jack's sharp gaze now he glanced at Clara. It could be that his subordinates were no one to report about Clara's move. Clara looked at Jack flatly.
“I know you best Jack, and I understand how you play.”
“Don't see me again if you still can't take my baby." Clara now paused on his words and stared intently at Jack.
...Or I'll literally disappear from your life forever.”
Finished saying her words Clara now walked out of the room, leaving Jack with his pent-up anger. Jack shouted loudly and started scrambling all his neatly arranged items on the table.
And he hit the table quite strongly, making a red bruise on the back of his finger. His chest up and down with anger, Clara started to play smart. He does not even know how Clara's activities are out there, all the reports he received must be Clara's wits to deceive him.
A ringing cell phone now tickled his ear, Jack quickly pulled the phone out of his pants pocket and stared at the number imprinted on his phone. He knew he remembered this number.
“Halo?”
“Young Master, Big Master wants to meet you.” Jack smiled cynically.
“My dad?”
...----------------...
“Please enter, Mr.”
Without waiting again Jack immediately broke down the door of the workroom of the Father. After almost three years his father never contacted him and now with as good as his mouth he ordered him to come.
“I told you not to call me anymore!”
Mr. Hilton stared at Jack flatly, the middle-aged man staring back at his monitor. It was as if the arrival and also Jack's shout were not very memorable for him. Looking at the father who seemed to ignore him, Jack clenched his hand tightly. If not he still considers the man before him is his father, a fist he has laid on the man.
“Mr Thompson wants to match you with Mary, your wedding will be held six months calculated today.” Hearing his father's words, Jack smiled cynically.
“Are you crazy?” Mr. Hilton's eyes now turned to Jack, his indifferent gaze now looking coldly at Jack.
“Find the woman who has benefits for you and your company, do not be a stupid girl with a lot of debt.”
Jack now clenched his hand tightly. After making his mother die, he could insult Clara. Actually, Clara had met her father several times, but the reaction of the father always seemed to dislike Clara. That's one of the reasons he rarely communicated with Mr. Hilton, even long before his mother left.
“Is your ex-secretary's new wife beneficial to your company? Isn't she just a crazy woman of the night treasure?”
“Dragon sayings, Jack Hilton!”
Jack could clearly see that his father was now standing and looking at him intently. Jack grinned, this is what he liked, seeing his father ignited in anger.
“My mother is a respected person but you still choose your secretary. I think I'm following your lead. And also, my woman is not a former night woman. You're worse than me!"
Mr. Hilton is now walking toward Jack, and a slap is now given to the child's right cheek. Jack clenched his hands tightly and looked at the middle-aged man before him sharply.
“Don't ever try to manage my life again, or you'll regret it!”
To be continue...
