Jack now re-opens the file in front of him, then the man throws it on his desk. His mind was unable to focus, the image of Clara who was pregnant continued to hang in his head. She was afraid, she was so afraid that Clara would keep their baby.

She still vividly remembers a few years ago Judy who almost lost her life giving birth to Anne, which made her very uncomfortable. “Halo Mr Hilton.”

Jack now took a deep breath as a woman with shoulder-length hair was at the door. Yeah, who else could break into his office if not this woman. He should not be so surprised.

“Alright, you can come out.” Said Jack, the assistant now bowed and exited the room. Leaving his boss with a woman he himself did not know this woman.

“What's Mary? My time is limited.”

Mary now looked amused. His view now shifts around every detail of Jack's room. Everything seems to change a lot, after the last few years he never came just to say hello to Jack.

Actually he and Jack had a special relationship, but because of one silly mistake at the time, they decided to make friends. He was caught cheating on Jack. And he was having an affair with one of Jack's best friends. Jack used to have a nature that tends to be flat and bland for him. But after he saw how Jack's relationship with Clara, he was so envious.

And also he was in a relationship with Jack because both of their parents who betrothed him. And the relationship was initially just he considered playful, but it turns out after he lost Jack, he was wrong. Jack means so much to him, there is no man of understanding and care like Jack. And he regretted it all so much, even today.

“Is it your nature to welcome this old friend of yours, Mr Hilton?” Jack stopped his activities and looked at Mary intently.

“Maybe I would have welcomed your arrival better if you had not hurt my lover.”

Mary now looked surprised by Jack's sharp speech. Apparently Jack already knew the incident, he thought Jack was just pretending to be stupid in front of Clara.

“All right, all right, I'm sorry for the incident. I'm here to discuss something else.”

“I'm busy, you don't see that?”

Jack is now flat with still seeing the files piled up in front of him. His mind was really chaotic, after the events of Clara and now Mary even more make him lose focus.

“You know Shawn Walker, Jack?”

Seeing Jack immediately stop his activities made Mary smile widely. He knew the answer from Jack's eyes. With a still smile Mary started walking towards the man's sofa.

“I heard your name has something to do with the man's death.” Mary continued and smiled mysteriously. Jack smiled cynically.

“You investigated it to bring me down?” Hearing Jack's question, Mary laughed out loud, as if Jack was making a joke of hers.

“You underestimated me so much, Jack. I even know how it happened. If I really wanted to take you down, I'd have done it a long time ago." Mary said with a laugh, Jack now completely closed the file he was holding and stared at Mary intensely.

“Alright, now what do you want?”

Jack now understands Mary's purpose in coming to his office. It even took about three hours from where Mary was, and the girl willingly came that far because she wanted to silence her mouth.

“What do I want? Wait, you must have thought I would betray you, didn't you, Jack?” This time Jack really looked at Mary in confusion. If Mary didn't want to take advantage of this situation, then what did she want?

“Your business competitor is investigating Shawn Walker's death in secret.” Jack looked at Mary confused. Business competitors?

“Chris?” Jack looked at Mary doubtfully. Mary smiled cynically.

“Is there a name other than Chris that threatens you enough?”

Jack now shakes his head, no other name threatens him more if not Chris. Chris Willam. The man who was almost two years in competition with him got a big investor. And so far, he still excels with his achievements.

“I've been trying to find the mastermind who investigated Shawn's death secretly, but I still can't find him.” Mary said slowly. Jack's gaze now stared intensely at Mary. Is Mary on his side?

“Then, what should I do?” Mary smiled broadly, this is her chance. For six years he waited for this opportunity, and soon he would get it.

“You know very well that if you want to take down Chris you need my help right Jack?” Mary now walked over to Jack's main chair and put her lips close to Jack's ear and whispered softly.

“Select between leave Clara, or rot in iron bars?”
