“I go first Clara, I hope you don't disappoint me!” Said Mary coldly and left Clara who could only look at her.

Still with a chaotic feeling Clara now began to walk towards Jack's luxury car. And now he could see Jack who was also looking at him with a warm smile from a distance. Clara just smiled faintly at him. While Mary's words continued to ring in her head. Should he stay away from Jack?

“Jack, I'm sorry. I guess we can't have dinner together today.”

“What's up? Aren't you feeling well, Chal?”

‘Chal’ called Jack for him almost six months ago. Even Tiffany and some of her friends followed Jack with the call. When she got used to Jack, why did Mary have to come back to her life again? Mary came with a warning.

No, no, he's not afraid of Mary's warning. But he's so scared that his relationship with Mary is falling apart. Until now, she still clearly remembered Mary's kindness to her.

“Ya, I think so.” Jack's right. He's very very unwell now, his head is so dizzy.

“I can drive you home and-“

“No, no Jack. I'm going home alone, and I hope not to pick me up again after this.” Clara looked at him with an angry look. Jack just looked at the girl confused. Did he make a mistake?

Clara looked at Jack with a sad look. Jack shouldn't have been involved with this, the guy didn't know anything about it. I want her to talk to Jack about Mary. But he can't, he doesn't want Mary to be hated by anyone.

... Just think if you keep picking me up some of my friends will misunderstand this.”

Come on, what other ridiculous answer should he give? Jack's confused gaze was now replaced with a knotty smile, as if he understood the direction of the conversation this time. While Clara herself did not know, the girl only let out what came to her head.

Clara was shocked when Jack knelt down before her, taking out a ring box. What, is Jack gonna propose to her? No, no, this is not what he meant.

“I actually bought this from four months ago. Since I know of your background that has never had a relationship with anyone, I was afraid that you would reject me. Then I hold all this. And I didn't know you were expecting this Chal either."

Clara now looks at Jack in disbelief. Jack smiled warmly. He understood why Clara was angry and said 'some of her friends would misunderstand'. That means Clara asked for certainty from him, right? His instincts as a man say so. Jack looked at Clara inside.

"Do you want to be my girlfriend Chal?”

Jack now opened the ring box, and there was a blue sapphire ring that was so beautiful. Clara just stared at Jack in disbelief. Clara's eyes were now staring around, hoping that Mary wouldn't see this. But Clara's guess was wrong, a girl with shoulder-length hair was looking at them with a sharp look.

Jack seemed surprised by Clara's reaction. Does that girl not want any of this? But Jack looked at Clara's expression as if panicked and agitated. What's with the girl, actually? Did he say it at the wrong time?

“I'm sorry, I have to go.”

Clara now leaves Jack on his knees. I don't know how disappointed Jack was to him, but he can't think straight now. It was as if everything was going so fast. Mary who suddenly warned him and Jack who even expressed feelings for him. Everything was so fast for him.

Clara was still running towards the nearest stop, while some people were still looking at her from a distance. He no longer cared, he wanted to hurry home and rest.

Clara gasps when the sound of the car horn is heard, she now finds a silver SUV next to her. As Clara stared at the driver, a warm smile from someone she knew was now visible.

“Want me to take Miss?”

Shawn Walker, the guy's staring at Clara. Clara was silent for a moment before finally agreeing to the man's ride. As the car starts to speed, Clara can only stare out the window. He was expecting a moment like this.

Shawn, the man he's loved for almost five years, invited him to come home from work together. But for some reason now, it was as if the man's ride had become commonplace. And now he thinks more about Jack's feelings after what he talked to the man. Is Jack going to be okay? Will Jack hate her?

“What does that girl threaten you with, Clara?”

Clara gasped at Shawn's question suddenly. Did Shawn see her with Mary? Clara only glanced at the man at a glance and looked back out the window. While Clara's hand squeezed firmly the bag she was carrying.

“Girl? Threatened me? It can't be Shawn.” Clara laughed crisply, trying to melt the atmosphere. Even if he knew, everything would fail.

“Mary, that girl threatened you right? I heard you talk to him."

Clara can only shut up. He forgets that if Shawn knew Mary too, they were in the same school. Moreover Mary is the prima donna of the school, who does not know the girl?

“Is that why you rejected Jack?”

Clara remained silent. He was too confused to answer it, because all of Shawn's questions were correct. Mary threatens him and that's why he rejects Jack. Anyway, that way everything will be fine. Clara just wants her life to be calm and peaceful, without wanting to get into trouble with anyone.

“I think, I don't really love Jack.” either

Clara said slowly. He could see Shawn now glancing at him and back at his wheel. Shawn is seen taking a deep breath and throwing it away slowly.

“Do not be afraid of the threat of that girl Chal! I will protect you at any cost.”
