The Winged Angel

The Winged Angel
Chapters. 88

Dea smiled stiffly while tidying the map - the map in the closet. Dean stared intently at the girl he knew was pretending.

"Are you bored because there's no me,?"ask Dean.

Dea rolled his lazy eyeballs.

"Aren't you friends other than me here, right,?" dean said grinning.

Dea was shaking her lips. He immediately came out of the room. Dean followed her and continued to tease the girl.

When the clock came home, Dean offered Dea a ride.

"Let's go up,!"Dean patted the back seat of his bike.

"No, I'll walk, please,"

"Are you sure, look at the darkening sky,"

Dean showed the sky with his chin.

Dea looked up at the sky. Then he turned to look at Dean, the man raised his eyebrows. Lazily, Dea approached and climbed on Dean's bike.

Just as Dean's motorbike mingled with the other vehicles on the road body, drops of water began to fall from the sky.

"It's raining, we take shelter first, yes" Dean said.

"Hem,"

Dean pulled his bike over at the cafe where he and Dion had a conversation yesterday. As soon as they entered the cafe, it rained heavily.

It had been almost half an hour they were sitting in the cafe, but the rain had not subsided. Even their drinks and food were gone.

"It looks like it's going to be a long time," Dean looked out at the cafe.

"Hem yes," Dea answered getting bored.

"We'll wait another 15 minutes, if you still haven't stopped by taxi" Dean said.

The two went back to silence while paying attention to the raindrops that were slowly inviting drowsiness.

"Are you sleepy, huh,?" Dean saw the girl in front of him yawn.

Dea blushed, thinking Dean wouldn't see her.

"It seems to be the effect of the medicine I was taking" Dea replied.

Suddenly Dea remembered the conversation Tika and Sari had as she eavesdropped on the pantry earlier this afternoon.

"Why do you think Mr. Bagas accepted me to work there,?"ask Dea.

Dean looked at Dea with a frown.

"Why are you asking him,?"

Dea let out a long breath and exhaled slowly. He threw his eyes out of the cafe.

"So I overheard a conversation between Tika and Sari in the pantry" Dea said.

"What do you hear" asked Dean.

Dea told Dean what he heard. Including the reason for entering the file storage space.

"What do you think Bagas's excuse is?"dea asked Dean for his opinion.

Dean seemed to think for a moment, then he linked his finger on the table with a smile.

"Maybe when you see your face drawn by despair and suffering" replied the original Dean.

Hearing that Dea snorted in annoyance and threw Dean with a tissue. The man chuckled as he leaned on the tissue that had fallen to the floor.

"I don't know either, just think of it as your luck. Don't think what they say, they're not the ones who teach you, "had Dean.

"Yes but…"

"Ssttt," Dean put an index finger on his lips while shaking his head.

"It looks like the rain has stopped, let's go,"

Dean immediately got up from his seat and headed for the cashier. Dea is out of the cafe.

Dean drove Dea all the way to the girl's kossan.

"Thank you" Dea said as he got off Dean's bike.

"Hem, you didn't ask me to come by first,"

"No," Dea replied, handing Dean the helmet.

Dean thumped to make Dea laugh.

"What,? Office trouble again,?"

"Not, but personal,"

"What is that, then,?

"Do you have a boyfriend,?"ask Dea.

Dean's stunned. His heart was pounding, he was speechless looking at Dea with a hard to decipher gaze. Realizing Dean's attitude as if misunderstood by his words, Dea again said.

"I mean, Sifa asked if you were single. Looks like she likes you,"

Dean smiled bitterly, almost misinterpreting Dea's question.

"I don't have a boyfriend yet, but I like someone and that's not your cousin" Dean replied.

Dea nodded in understanding. But a moment later he misbehaved himself, because he remembered the words of Dion the other day. Especially now that Dean was looking at him fixedly.

"I think I should go in" Dea said, flipping over, with a hurried step he entered his boarding yard.

Dean was still in his place, staring at the girl's back until it was gone from his sight. He let out a heavy sigh as he felt his sudden - chaotic feelings.

***

Since that incident, Dea became awkward when adjacent to Dean. He avoids more outside of work.

And today exactly he worked a month at that insurance company. Dea was very excited because she would soon receive her first salary.

With a curvy smile on his face, Dea opened the brown envelope that Bagas had just given her. His eyes widened looking at that unexpected sheet of money.

"It's a lot," he mumbled counting the money.

Dean who had also received his first paycheck saw Dea sitting alone in the pantry. Dean stepped closer, but as soon as he got to the pantry door his steps were held back. He broke his intention and turned around. Dean noticed Dea's recent change in attitude towards him. The girl realized her feelings.

After work, Dea invites Dion to meet at a cafe near her office. But an hour awaited never came. Dea called Dion again. Unfortunately, his call was not answered by his girlfriend.

Before long, a message entered his phone.

📩Sorry baby, I'm still at the college, student events. I thought I could finish early, but it's not over yet. You go home first, I'll pick you up again, sorry again.

Dea stared at her phone screen in disappointment. He thought that his arrival in this city could bring them closer. In reality, they are just busy with their own business.

"All right, I'll go there,"in Dea.

Dea left the cafe and headed for the Dion campus. Once in front of the campus building he suddenly hesitated. He feels insecure. But because it has already come. Dea ventured into the campus. The campus was already stretched, there were only a few students who seemed to pass by.

As there was no way he could find Dion in a building twice as large as his old school, Dea decided to wait in the park. He had earlier sent a message to Dion that he was there.

About ten minutes he waited, from the inside he saw Dion running towards him. But Dion's not alone, there's a girl tailing behind him.

"Tiara, huh,? Why is she here, instead of her saying she's studying abroad,"dea's inner heart once found out that the girl was a Tiara.

When the two were already in front of him, Dea was confused about who to greet first.

"Why come here, I said you'd wait at the boarding house" Dion said, seeing Dea speechless.

"Hi Dea, how are you. Long time no see" Tiara said with a sweet smile. That girl is getting pretty.

Dea did not answer Tiara's greeting, he was stunned to look at the girl with many question marks on his head. Dea turned to look at Dion, asking for an explanation of that. Why all this time Dion never told me that Tiara was studying at the same campus as him.

"Why never say anything to me?"

"Don't get me wrong, we are indeed one campus but different falkutas.Rare to meet too, this is also a coincidence we follow the same activities on campus," said Dion.

"Pardon Dea, you're still jealous of me. Not that we have become good friends." said Tiara reminded them of their closeness in High School.

Dea smiled thinly,

"I thought you were studying abroad,"

"Yes, but I didn't graduate, and I went to college here. At that time I had time to send your greetings to you, did Dion not convey it,?" Tiara asked looking at Dea and Dion alternately.

"I forgot," answered Dion briefly.

Not wanting to continue feeling awkward, Dea tried to look ordinary. He approached Tiara and hugged the girl for a moment.

"Over time I don't see you getting prettier, I'm pangling" Dea said.

"You're getting pretty, too. I'm sorry, I have to go back inside, next time maybe we can have a coffee together while reminiscing about High School,"

Dea nodded. Tiara smiled back then turned around. After Tiara's departure, Dea stared intently at Dion. The man smiled stiffly as he rubbed his nape.
