The Winged Angel

The Winged Angel
1. First meeting

The sound of water outside seemed to be calling out. My eyes opened to the ceiling of the room. From the window of the cabin, can be seen the color of the sky that began to light. The cradle of the ocean waves has made our sleep last night very sound. But my stomach is getting hungry now.

Henry's still in dreamland. I covered his bare chest with a blanket so he was warmer, I had a kiss on the cheek of the tomato. Surprisingly, since his body is more contained this man rarely feels cold. He prefers to sleep without wearing pajamas.

I'd better make breakfast. Baked bread and warm chocolate will be very delicious in the middle of the cold weather like this.

Hmm .. hoaaah. My body wriggled while patting the mouth that still wanted to yawn. The hand then grabs the crochet coat that is perched on the nightstand. A pair of warm sandals waiting for both feet to trace on the floor of the cabin which is lined with fur carpets.

From the pantry window, I could see seagulls flying in the sky. What is the sign, the position of the ship has approached the land? Curiosity dragged both of my legs out of the cabin towards the deck.

A cold wind scrambled in as soon as my hand had opened the door. The mouth immediately rounded. I was so fascinated by the nature painting in front of me. The feet keep stepping out.

The calm, boundless sea seemed to greet me. The blue sky was reflecting on the water below. The thin fog moved slowly in the air. From the east a tinge of orange began to show off its beauty. Glistening over the surface of the undulating water. So perfect.

I breathed a long breath. Both hands clung tightly to the cold iron guardrail. The body is sometimes unsteady, as the body of the ship is constantly swaying toyed with wave ripples.

This morning in the middle of the ocean. Henry and I were on a cruise ship. We left one day ago. Henry wants to show me a place he's still keeping secret. He wanted to surprise me. The place that Opah had long prepared as a gift for Henry when he was married. So much love for Henry. Too bad I didn't get a chance to know Opah.

"Aaaakhs!!" I'm suffocating in shock.

Suddenly something leapt out of the water, accompanying the speed of the ship. It was a flock of dolphins. They swim ahead of each other.

Justjust wonderful. The shiny black water creature seemed to be deliberately following our ship. I could see it clearly as it floated in the air. There was a distinctive squeaking-like sound coming from them. Quite noisy.

"Good morning .. Good to see you!" I shouted while waving at the fish. A smile expands on my lips.

I felt the splashes of water hitting the faces as they jumped so close. Marvellously. My mouth kept muttering. The fish appeared intentionally.

"Morning, Honey." Suddenly Henry was stuck behind my back.

"Away awake?"

"Listen you yelled so loud."

"Oh, huh? Sorry.. end up being shocked at that." My hand pointed towards the dolphin that had drifted away.

"Here is their habitat."

"Wow ... what does it mean that we will often see it in the place of surprise for me?"

Henry chuckled at my question. Until now he has not told the name of the place we are heading.

"How long is our journey?" I'm just impatient.

"Not long. Looky!" His hands pointed towards the birds flying above us. "We are close to the land."

"I made breakfast earlier. Hopefully it's not cold yet" I said, pulling Henry's hand back into the cabin.

***

"How long will we be there?" I asked as I applied Henry's favorite pineapple jam on a piece of toast.

We were both in the dining room. The conditions in this cruise ship are so similar to where to live.

"Like it you want. We have a lot of logistics on board. One month is more than enough."

"I can't wait." I put my processed bread to him.

"I'm sure you won't be disappointed." Henry started biting the tip of the bread.

"Have you been there?'

Henry nodded. "High School Time."

I looked at him attentively. I wish Henry would tell me a lot.

"That was school holidays. Opah deliberately took me there. Opah said that I would have to bring my wife and children. That place could be a family vacation spot."

"You've got an amazing opah."

"You know the same, Non."

"Couldn't you?

"Nh ...."

"You know I've had a crush on you since High School. Didn't Opah say I was the same?"

"What?"

"Cursue until you get it! If she's gonna be your wife, Opah has a wedding present for you."

"Owh .. what is it?"

"It used to be a love fighter, too, Non."

"It's a pity that Opah is with you."

"He is .. the greatest, most handsome grandson." He chuckles.

"Did you have no grandchildren but you?"

"Nothing." He shook. "Maybe it is our destiny. The descendants of children are mere puppets. Opah has no sodara. Moga later our son fate is not the same as Opah, grandparents and mothers. Moga we're a lot of kids, yeah, honey."

"Hu' um." I'm nodding. A sip of chocolate that is still warm from the cup. "Totally if it's the same with us. No one's lonely at home."

We both laughed in amusement.

"I was jealous as a child of my friends. Excited to see him fight equally. Toy scramble, food scramble," Henry said with a smile.

"Yes, so am I. I even used to bargain with my friend. His grandfather was scolded mulu same as him. Keep getting me tuked with my new bike. Uh .. she wants to." I told you about my experience as a child.

"Continue?" Henry's narrowed eyes widened.

"I brought her home. Not long ago, the same father his mother came to the house to take it back." I giggled in remembrance of the incident.

"Little kidnap people's children."

"I think that little adek is the same as a doll."

Tok to tok. The knock on the door stopped our conversation.

"Lake in!" henry said sonorous.

Krieeeek ... door opens from outside.

"We're near the pier, boss. A few minutes to dock." Beno's face appeared behind the door.

"OKAY. Sip."

Beno bowed his body, then came out again.

"In a moment .. You'll see the place." Henry's eyes smiled at me.

"More curious." My body shuddered happily.

"Early breakfast!"

****

"Should it be closed like this?"

"Name a surprise too."

I'll take it when Henry ties a handkerchief to cover my eyes. My eyes are dark now.

My body stood facing the island that would soon be visible. Henry grabbed me from behind. We were both on the deck.

"Have you ever heard of Derawan Islands?" henry whispered so close to the ear.

"Hmm .. ever. But forget where it is. Are we there now?"

"We're already in the Derawan Islands. Indonesia Maldives. A hidden paradise that people rarely visit."

My lips rounded. "Can't open his handkerchief yet?"

Ah, Henry's getting me curious.

"A little while." I feel a kiss on the cheek.
