The Winged Angel

The Winged Angel
Chapters. 83

Sifa blinked her eyes, she scanned around. He saw Dea sleeping next to Grandma's bed. But he didn't see Dean, instead he said he'd be here with them. When Sifa was about to get up to look for Dean out of the room, the door opened. Sifa again laid her body and pretended to sleep knowing Dean who entered, her heartbeat instantly turned tight.

"Why am I pounding, then,? Why should I pretend to sleep, too,?"inner Sifa.

Sifa opened her eyes slightly to peek at what Dean was doing. But what he saw made the corner of his heart ache.

Dean slowly approached Dea who was sound asleep until he did not feel her presence. Dean watched Dea's face clingy. A smile was drawn on his handsome face. Dean's outstretched hand tidied Dea's messy little haircut and slipped it behind the girl's ear.

"You must be so tired" muttered Dean.

Seeing what Dean did made Sifa rotate her body position so that she turned her back.

"Why don't I like to see it,?"inner sifa.

Since the first time his eyes and Dean had clashed while on IGD, there was a subtle vibration that Sifa felt for the first time. Is she in love at first sight,? I don't know, he's not sure what he's feeling.

Sifa flinched, as someone covered her. He held his breath, afraid if it was discovered that he was not actually sleeping. Moments later he heard the door open and closed. Sifa opened her eyes, she turned her head towards grandma's bed. Dea was still asleep, but now with Dean's jacket covering Dea.

Sifa looked at the cloth that Dean covered her with, then squeezed the cloth.

"Why don't I just get wrapped in that jacket. I can breathe her scent from there," muttered Sifa.

A moment later he squinted his eyes while shaking weakly. Denying what he is feeling.

"It's not true, it's not true. How could I like someone I just met in a few hours" Sifa struggled with her own thoughts.

The dawn has gone. Hospital activity is starting to get crowded again. Some janitors began to enter one by one the patient's room to sweep mopping.

Dea had just finished wiping her grandmother's body and changing clothes.

"I want to go home, it's not comfortable here" granny complained.

"Yes, if grandma has healed just come home" said Sifa who was folding a blanket that she used last night.

"I don't have the money to pay for the hospital, I'm fine, you guys are too much to bring me here" she said.

Dea and Sifa looked at each other. They no longer answered and let the old woman chatter herself.

"Aren't you going home? Your body stinks," said Sifa looking at Dea with disdain.

"I'll take a shower here, I'll bring a change of clothes. If you want to go home, go. I'll take care of grandma" Dea said.

Dean enters Dea's grandmother's room. Sifa suddenly misbehaved, she tidied up her messy hair.

"Not yet to come home,?" Dea looked at Dean's astonishment.

"Yes, I'm going home. I want to see your grandmother first" replied Dean.

"Who is this young man,?" ask grandma.

Dean went to Grandma and greeted the old woman.

" I'm Dean, Dea's coworker,"

Grandma just nodded her head.

" Chealing fast, grandma. I'm gonna go home first,"

Grandma nodded back. Dean passed by leaving Dea's grandmother's room.

" I also want to go home" Sifa said as she followed Dean out of the room.

Sifa went outside looking for Dean. The man was no longer visible.

" Where is he, how fast is the way,"

Sifa accelerated her steps towards the elevator. Sure enough, Dean just entered that box thing.

" Wait, "shout Sifa.

Hearing the cry of someone Dean held down the elevator door, until Sifa went inside. The two with Dean in the elevator made Sifa even more misbehaving.

Dean turned his head, when his eyes met with Sifa's eyes the girl hurriedly turned her eyes away.

"I just happen to want to go home to this city, there's no harm in giving me a ride. And the trouble with you guys is that I'm lazy to go home" replied Dean.

" So Dean came from this town, too,?" ask Sifa. I don't know why he was happy.

" Yes,"

Silence, until the elevator reaches the ground floor.

They split up, Dean heads for the hospital parking lot while Sifa heads out of the hospital grounds to wait for a taxi.

Tinn...Tinn..

Sifa who was standing at the edge of the shortest road heard the sound of a motor horn.

"Do you want to take me, please,?"dean asked after opening the glass.

Not because of what, Dean saw many times Sifa snorted annoyed when he had not gotten a taxi.

Sifa stared in disbelief, if the man offered her a ride. Of course he would not miss that opportunity. Quickly he nodded his head.

Along the way, Dean just kept quiet and focused on riding his bike.

"Why don't you ask me where my home address is,?" Sifa patted Dean's shoulder.

"Well, where's your home address,?"ask Dean. Actually he still remembers where he took down Dea at that time, but he did not know where the place of the girl's house.

Sifa guided their journey. When entering the housing complex, Dean's feelings began to fall apart.

"Front there, the house with its spacious yard,"

Dean pulled out his bike in front of the old-fashioned whitewashed house with a large yard in front of him.

"This is your house, right,?"ask Dean.

" Yes,"

" Which house of Dea,?"ask Dean again.

"you mean,?We are living and growing under the same roof. It seems like Dea didn't tell me much about her" Sifa said seeing the confusion on Dean's face.

Dean just nodded back. He did not know what about the life of the girl who disturbed his heart. All he knew was that He and Dea were from the same town. Dean recalled Sifa's words in the hospital, saying they had no one - who to expect. Actually the word was quite disturbing to his mind, yet he did not dare to ask any deeper.

"You want to stop by for tea, huh,?" Sifa's voice broke Dean's daydream.

"Huh, no thanks. I'll go right away,"

"Thank you for driving me home, man,"

Dean smiled, then turned the engine back on.

Sifa stepped into the courtyard of the house, she looked back again before she opened the door. And Dean was still there watching. Sifa's face met, she rushed into the house with her heart pounding.

Dean looked at the house in front of him with another feeling. A faint smile fell on his lips.

" It turns out we used to live in the same neighborhood, but you were probably a baby, by then" Dean said.

Dean turned to stare at the road which was not far in the corner there was an orphanage where he grew up before being adopted by his adoptive family.

If only he had not been adopted, would destiny have said otherwise. Will he get to know Dea before the man who is now the girl's boyfriend. Dean took a deep breath before he returned to the bike.
