Friday has arrived.
Anne woke up at 05:30 and prayed in the morning. Then, she got ready to take a shower and have breakfast. Robert had prepared a strawberry jam bun and a glass of chocolate milk. Anne prepared her lunch, rice, fried nuggets, and freshly cut cucumbers. Robert also brought him a cut pear and a box of milk. Complete, isn't it? Well, all they do for the sake of frugality so as not to need snacks. Anne's office area is in Thamrin, which means food is very expensive in restaurants. Sometimes Anne also likes snacks in the warteg near the office if she is tired of bringing food from home.
Anne had finished her breakfast, and hurried off to work. The morning walk was still good. Anne was still able to breathe the fresh dew of the morning and the breeze blew. About 10 minutes later he had arrived at the Company Era Mas building and parked his motorbike, then immediately absent finger print in the lobby and took the elevator to the 3rd floor.
There is a lot of work today. Anne usually arrives at 07:00 in the morning because she wants to check email immediately. Customer Anne is in America and Latin America which is different about 12 hours with Jakarta. Which means, it's morning here, it's night. Automatically many emails come in when it is morning. In addition, Anne wants to work faster and more, so she can go home on time aka pangko.
Anne started opening her outlook inbox one by one. How surprised Anne when reading an email from Paola Cortez, the purchasing admin staff from Polaris Diamond USA. The content of the email is Purchase Order (PO) Polaris Diamond USA who wants to buy 5 containers of dry snack Tempe Maknyoz. Anne who was curious immediately opened Google and looked for detailed information about the Polaris Diamond USA company and it turns out this Polaris is a subsidiary of Black Diamond Group in the USA. Polaris Diamond USA has been established for decades in the USA and specialists in the field of FMCG trading.
Paola also sent complete documents such as company profile and VAT for customer ID registration in SAP Anne system. Wow, it is different to work with a professional customer like this. Without being asked, it provides the requested data. Anne immediately processed in SAP deftly, then immediately ask for approval from Mr. Andres and proceed to the customer custodian team to provide new customer ID.
Then, Anne immediately replied to an email from Paola asking for details of the PO and whether there were other special requests. Anne also includes a Sales Order (SO) for Paole checks and signs first. Mr. Andres is thrilled to get his new PO from Polaris Diamond USA because it means he was saved this month from the rampage of Snack's division CEO, Mr. Ben Isher.
Anne who was happy this morning immediately ate his snacks, namely pear and milk box. Anne took her phone and opened her Whatsapp and typed a chat to Robert: [Rob, you were right, today God helped me, God helped me, suddenly there is a new customer called Polaris want to order my 5 containers snack! ].
Looks like Robert is busy cleaning up the house, so hasn't read the chat yet. Yeah, that's okay. Anne continued eating her snacks. The atmosphere of the office is still a bit quiet, usually his friends come at 08.00 less.
Five minutes later, his phone rang, there was a Whatsapp message coming in from Robert: [Congratulations yes to his new order 😊]
Anne's smile broke when Robert replied to her chat. For some reason Anne has always been like that, feeling happy when Robert sends a chat, and feeling empty when there is no chat from Robert or when the chat is long replied.
Soon, one by one his friends came. Lisa Trishman and Amy Winzel came together and immediately sat on Anne's right and left. Lisa is a sales admin who handles the South East Asia (SEA) region, and Amy handles the Europe region.
Lisa and Amy are two new employees who work in the sales admin division of this snack. They've been friends with Anne since eight months ago. Lisa and Amy are about 25 years old and they don't feel awkward being friends with Anne who is her senior. Nisya and Tasia have been rolled into the sales admin section of palm oil products. Luckily, there's Lisa and Amy so Anne's not lonely.
A little story about Amy. He is an only child. His mother wanted him to find a girlfriend and get married. According to his mother, the age of 25 years was fit to get married. However, because Lisa wants to save for a DP house in Gading Serpong, Lisa is not too worried about getting married first. Amy is a smart girl and rather fierce, not easy to bully people. The fierce Amy causes men to be afraid to approach so that until now Amy is still single. The region that is handled is quite complicated because of the very complicated export regulations to Europe. Fortunately, the factory admin staff who helped Amy was also very supportive so that Amy's work was easy to handle.
The other with Lisa. She will soon marry her partner, Rodrigo Martinez, a lawyer who works as a legal staff at the Logistic Kencana Company. Lisa is the son of a rich man so there is no need to bother for her wedding expenses. It's just that Lisa is a complicated person and perfectionist, so the print stuff alone makes him dizzy and noisy with Rodrigo. Almost two months ago Anne always heard Lisa calling her future husband to prepare for the wedding course, catering lah, hotel for the reception, honeymoon to where, etc. Until I got dizzy hearing it.
In addition there are still three more Anne's seja friends who do not come today, namely Rey Ho (admin sales handling Korea and Japan), Leny Meilinda (data analyst), and others, and Deasy Lim (admin sales dealing with Africa and India). Rey is on duty at the Riau plant, Leny is on leave, and Deasy is sick. Yep right, one group of sales admin table consists of six tables. Quite crowded, and friends of a group who are familiar even though sometimes like to be each other as well.
“Hai, Anne. How are you this morning? What are you again?” said Lisa.
“Oh hi Lisa, I'm eating a snack first. How are your wedding preparations with Rodrigo?” ask Anne kindly.
Lisa sighed and her face was a bit upset. “Rod, he doesn't want to help anything, just imagine, I have to take care of everything by myself. He always says ‘I'm busy, you take care of everything’. He just gave me money for the wedding, but everything I took care of until I got sick from exhaustion.”
Amy said, “Hey, you know not, my aunt said, the current attitude of the boy from the girlfriend's time will determine his attitude after marriage later. My aunt said her husband was kind of cute, well like Rod. After marriage, my aunt took care of the household and the children. Sumanya does not want to help, she wants to work alone, does not want to bother tired of taking care of the baby at night, does not want to change baby diapers, just wants to be clean and clean all. Indeed her husband is romantic, love flowers during anniversaries and birthdays, but who the hell needs flowers in time again need help take care of children for a while?”
Lisa was silent for a moment. “Well, your aunt was right Amy too. Never mind, we don't talk about Rod anymore, annoy me.”
“Anne, how about Robert? What kind of a person is he?” ask Amy.
“Robert, huh? He rarely spoke, and almost never bought flowers, let alone gold or jewelry for me. She is not a romantic husband type, but she wants to help with household chores.” Anne laughed softly when she remembered Robert.
“Well, hopefully Robert will help you when you have a baby later, want to wake up at night to give milk or change baby diapers,” Lisa teases Anne.
Anne's office friends only knew Anne had been married for three years, but had no children. They guessed because Anne was too busy working and ambitious. However, they did not know that Anne had never been in a room with her husband, how could there be a baby?
“Bay? It would be funny if we had kids. But, did Robert love me to the point of having a child with me? All this time she just kept quiet and never told me love,” thought Anne.
Anne was still imagining a baby, but her daydream soon dispersed when her boss arrived. The day passed quickly, and Anne went home with mixed feelings because she still remembered her chat with her office friend about the attitude of her husband after marriage and of course about the baby.
