Chap 22's. Lacing

"FIRE HIT, STROM!"

Kirei again used his fire magic, but this time the spinning fire enveloped his two swords to be twice as big.

"FIRE BLASTS!"

Kirei put his left leg up and turned his body to the right by swinging his two swords in rhythm, making a fireball that was quite large and shot very fast towards me.

It was easy enough for me to avoid such a frontal attack, two to three attacks were made and none of them hit me.

When my gaze was slightly off guard against Kirei, he suddenly moved very quickly before me.

"Because of you!"

Kirei intends to do a melee attack to instantly be able to knock me out with a single cross slash.

But I had pretty good reflexes and managed to shake off the attack, but I could not bear the weight of the attack and the fire was hotter than before, so that makes me bounce far away to hit the arena wall.

An explosion occurred when my body hit the wall of the match arena, it turned out that Kirei unleashed his fire magic along with the attack he had just made.

The entire spectating disciples were shocked by Kirei who had suddenly become extremely powerful.

"What's going on? why is he suddenly that strong?" asked Oda who was so surprised.

"It was a fire magic developed to enhance one's abilities" Shira explained.

"What does that mean? as a fire magic user as well, I don't understand that," asked Oda again.

"Right now Kirei has developed his fire magic into a passive ability, where it will continue to be active during the fight and make the user stronger" Shira explained more.

"In short, Kirei's attacks not only caused physical attacks, but also magic attacks in addition," Shira continued.

"Damn, it turns out that he is not an opponent that can be underestimated!" Oda says.

"Yahaha! feel that basic suck! you're like a fragile child in front of me!" kirei said loudly.

I was silent for a moment after hearing Kirei's rant that was very upsetting to me.

I took a deep breath, and then got back up from the arena floor with a burn scar that was slowly recovering in my hand and a small part of my face.

"Don't act so strong-witted like that, or you'll lose your dream of becoming a royal knight! Ahaha!" kirei said haughtily, feeling very confident that he would win.

Kirei who mentioned about the dream made me remember my determination and struggle all this time, the training I went through every day in the academy and also at home with my father.

I will not waste it all, and make everyone who supports me become disappointed.

"Haha-" my little laugh seemed to say that the attack just now was nothing.

I plugged the katana into the ground and began to concentrate, breathing long air and spreading it all over the body.

The pressure of energy flowing out and the instantaneous gusts of air around seemed to revolve around my body.

"Hey Kojiro, what's the kid doing?" ask Ziro.

"Did he give up?" continued Stella.

"No, I don't know what he's doing" Kojiro replied.

"The child was like it was enveloped in a green aura all over its body," Megelda said with glowing blue eyes that could see the power of one's energy.

"You're right, I feel a considerable amount of energy there" said Hanz, a Ranger-class teacher.

"What's? doesn't that boy have no Mana in him?" ask Stella.

"It's not Mana, but like a great energy" Megelda explained.

"What does that mean?" ask Ziro.

"Come on, but I seem to have seen something like this before" Megelda replied.

Kirei looked as if he wanted to make an attack with overflowing anger, because he felt himself being underestimated by me.

"What are you laughing at, boy!" annoyed Kirei who then moved very quickly and jumped towards me.

But before he swung his sword, I opened my eyes and stared intently at him while pulling back at the clenched right hand.

With the energy gathered in my hand, I quickly slammed one punch right into Kirei's stomach.

"MILK!!!"

*WUSHHH~

*BLURR!!!

The attack severely hit him and caused Kirei to bounce so far away that he hit the arena wall without even touching the ground.

That was what happened when I managed to make everyone present in the arena of the match completely shocked.

All the cheers and shouts from the spectator bench instantly disappeared like they were swallowed up by the void.

"What's that?" asked a dumbfounded male student.

"A-,a-I don't know either" replied his friend with wide eyes.

Some of them could only be silent with their gaping mouths and wide-open eyes, including Yoe and Higatsu who seemed to be silent.

"Waaah, I didn't know that Yuuta had such great power" Oda said.

"What exactly just happened?" ask Rin.

"I know, it's a force of natural energy" Shira said.

"Natural energy? what'sthat?" ask Oda.

"It's the energy that the environment has, or rather this world has," Shira explained.

"So you mean, Yuuta used natural energy to gain such power?" ask Ida again.

"Yes you're right" Shira said.

"Great, I just found out that there's such power,"

"That's because very few people can master it" Shira replied.

"But, how do you know it was Shira? yuuta never told us" Rin said.

"Merlin's magician told me that there are powers greater than magic, and one of them is natural energy" Shira explained.

"Thanks to Merlin's crystal necklace, I can clearly see the energy flowing inside Yuuta's body" he added.

"And he's been gathering that energy inside him for a long time, which he'll use at times like this" he continued.

In the meantime, I took back the katana that I had plugged into the ground. While Kirei who was bowed limp with his body leaned against the arena wall.

"Geek, it seems like I've gone overboard" I said looking at my right palm.

Then Master Hisobu entered the arena of the match,

he gave a signal to stop with his hand.

"Are you okay, Kirei?" ask Master Hisobu.

"What's? an attack like this can't possibly defeat me!" kirei replied stubbornly.

"Don't force yourself, it's just a match practice" Guru Hisobu said.

"I'm not a child anymore, I'm still capable of fighting!" kirei replied as he got up in limp.

"Are you sure?" ask Master Hisobu.

"I'm very sure" said Kirei who returned to using fire magic on both of his swords.

"Alright then," said Master Hisobu who then raised his left hand and rushed away from the top of the arena, signaling the match was still going on.

"Damn!!! I was really humiliated by that boy!" kirei's annoyance in his inner being.

"I don't know what and where he got that much power from, but the times I'm going to end it!" kirei said slowly.
