Chap 1's. Promises

My name is Hajime Yuuta, I am the son of a great magic knight in the kingdom named Shimazu and my mother named Airi is a healing sorcerer in the village where I live.

When I was a child I lived in a village called Marle village, under the rule of the kingdom of Luxion along with my father and mother.

I have two friends in the village, namely Oda and Rin, Oda is a cheerful and sometimes silly child, while Rin is a sweet girl with long hair and has a soft nature to her best friend, but also she is shy when dealing with others, because of his gentle nature that I'm silent - silent likes him.

Since childhood we always played together, sharing jokes and laughter also protected each other.

There was one day when we were 10 years old, where we were playing together under a big tree in a meadow near the forest where we used to play during the day.

Oda and I were chasing a rabbit in the middle of the meadow, and also Rin who watched us from under a large shady tree while sitting on a mat and next to it there are provisions that we carry.

"Hahaha. Let's go get that rabbit!" I said while laughing happily.

"You people! Be careful! Don't get too far from my sight!" Tegur Rin was worried about Me and Oda running around here and there without caring about the surroundings.

"Just calm down Rin, I'll catch that rabbit for you ! Hahaha," replied oda as he continued to run after the rabbit.

"Whatchu mean? I'll catch that rabbit for Rin!" I said I don't want to lose to Oda.

"Duuuh, you guys are better I prepare the provisions first for us," said Rin.

Oda and I continued chasing the rabbit around here and there happily without anyone willing to budge, but the rabbit was very fast, he continued to run away until he finally managed to escape and get into the forest.

Then we began to realize that we had chased the rabbit too far away to get close to the forbidden forest.

"Yuta! The oda! Come here, I've prepared the provisions," Invite Rin who just finished preparing the supplies.

"Where are they?" Ask Rin.

Rin who was confused continued to look to the right and to the left to look around, but all he saw was a vast expanse of green grass and some plants and insects.

Then he stood up from the mat he was sitting on and walked to the back of the big tree, but he also did not find the whereabouts of me and Oda.

"Oooii... Yuuta! Ooda!" Rin called out our names once again in a loud voice because she did not see us around the big tree.

The confused Rin begins to feel a little panicked and worried because he is afraid of being left alone, until finally Rin decides to go look for me and Oda.

"I'd better find them" said Rin, who immediately went to look for us.

Meanwhile, near the forest.

"Come Oda! The rabbit went in there!" Take me with passion while running.

Oda continued to run behind me with breathless breath, but when he saw what was in front of us, he immediately began to realize that the rabbit had entered into the forbidden forest.

"Yuta! Just stop! don't go in there!" yelled Oda while waving both of her hands, asking Me to stop.

I who heard Oda's cry was a little surprised and immediately stopped my steps.

"Eh, what's up Oda? Why did you tell me to stop?" many wonder.

Before long Oda managed to get to me, he stopped and immediately bent down by laying both hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath.

After Oda felt better, he stood up again holding my shoulder.

"The rabbit went into the forbidden forest, we can't go in there" Oda explained.

I looked back at the rabbit running to confirm what Oda said, and sure enough, it turned out that the rabbit was running into the forest.

"You're right, but then I can't get the rabbit for Rin" I replied as I looked into the forest where the rabbit had escaped.

"I wonder, what is in the forest ? Until it can be called a forbidden forest," asked me who felt very curious.

"Someone, but what I heard from my parents, he said inside there were a lot of terrible demonic monsters" Oda replied.

"Hmmm yes, I remember my Mom and Dad saying that" I said.

"Yes, that's why we shouldn't go in there" Oda warned.

"Yes, okay" answered me, a little disappointed that I didn't get the rabbit.

When Oda and I were busy talking about the forbidden forest, Rin who looked a little tired finally found us.

"Ah, there they are" said Rin who saw me and Oda from a distance.

"Yuta! Oda!" rin shouted from a distance while running towards the two of us.

"Rin?" ask me.

"Rin, what are you doing here?" ask Oda to Rin who approached them.

"What's? I should've asked you guys that!" rin replied with a face that looked annoyed.

"Yuuta, Oda why did you get here? Isn't it dangerous if we're too far from the village?" rin continued with worry.

"Eh, we just chased after the rabbit and subconsciously it turns out that we have come here, haha," I replied with a small laugh.

"Because of you, I'm worried about you because you suddenly just disappeared" Rin said with annoyance.

"Eeh' Are you really worried about us, Rin? isn't it because you're afraid of being alone?" ask Oda who mocked Rin a little.

"What did you say!?" rin said with an annoyed expression and a flushed face, as Oda knew the real reason.

Seeing Rin instantly become fierce like a woman who was in the pms time made us shocked and frightened.

As if we felt our lives were threatened, we immediately bowed to Rin, with both palms clinging to the head while apologizing.

"Ti-no Rin, I'm sorry we worried about you leaving you there alone" I said with a slight stammer.

"I-iya Rin, we're sorry, we won't repeat it again" Oda apologized.

"Why are you guys?" rin asked who was astonished by our seemingly exaggerated attitude.

"Alright, then I want us to promise that none of us will just leave the others for good" Rin said.

Rin did not want to be left alone again, so he made a promise to the three of us.

"Okay Rin, we promise!" I said and Oda loudly and with a big smile.

We finally laughed and were happy together.

But then suddenly a strange sound was heard.

*Krruuuuukkk~

Those who heard it were shocked and confused as to where the sound came from.

"Emmm.. Sorry guys, it seems like my stomach is starting to feel hungry" Oda said with a bit of embarrassment.

It turned out that the voice came from Oda's stomach which had started to starve.

Hearing that made me and Rin

laughingly.

"Based on you, make it a shock. I thought it was the sound of a demonic monster wanting to come" I said with a laugh.

"Hehehe" Oda laughed.

Rin who laughed with shame also made his sweet side visible.

"Well let's go back to the big tree, I've prepared provisions for the three of us," Rin said to invite us back.

"Well cool, then let's go back right now!" Oda said with spirit.

"If it's about food you're always the most excited, Oda," I chanted mocking Oda.

"It's not me, it's my stomach" replied Oda.

We finally went out near the forest and went back to the big tree in the meadow to play and eat our provisions there.

"Hey Oda, you eat a lot, leave it for me too dong," I said, reminding Oda not to spend the food.

"I have to eat a lot, because when I grow up I want to become the strongest knight in the kingdom" Oda said with enthusiasm.

"Well, so you want to be a strong knight like your father huh, Oda?" ask Rin happily.

"No, I will become stronger than my father, hehehe," Oda said with confidence.

"That's great, but even so doesn't mean you're eating all the food, Oda!" I said with a lazy expression.

"If you want, can you take this one, Yuuta?" rin said offering me his food.

Hearing the offer, I became a little nervous and embarrassed.

"Eh, it's okay Rin I'll just eat my share" I replied.

Rin who saw my expression like that felt a little astonished.

"Hmm. alright then, but just take it if you want, Yuuta," Rin said with a sweet smile on her face.

I who saw that smile felt amazed and made my cheeks slightly reddened was also unable to say anything, then I turned my face away while eating my food.

Time passed and we were still playing and joking together, after some time we played, finally the day began to twilight and the sun began to set.

"It's late in the afternoon, we should go home" Rin said.

"Yes, let's get the things done before we go home" I replied.

"Well then, thank you for the food Rin, hihihi," Oda told Rin.

"No problem, Oda," Rin replied with a small laugh.

After cleaning the goods we brought, then we went back to the village together.

On the way, we saw a beautiful butterfly passing in front of us.

"Hey, look at those butterflies" said Oda.

"What a beautiful butterfly - butterflies," said Rin was amazed.

"Hey Oda, how about we catch those butterflies?" take me.

"Alright, then I'll catch him first" Oda replied excitedly.

Oda and I began to run after the butterflies that flew straight in line with the road to the village.

"Hey you two, wait for me!" rin said as he ran after me and Oda.

We ran all the way until something happened.

"Ouch!" Rin fell because he ran after me and Oda.

"Huh? Rin!?" said Oda and I who looked at Rin and ran to him.

"Rin are you okay?" ask me with a sense of worry.

Oda and I helped him sit up and showed him his injured leg,

Rin just looked at his wound while feeling pain.

"I'm sorry Rin, I was wrong for making you run after us" I said, a little panicked and guilty.

"What's wrong, it's just a small wound" Rin replied gently.

"Do you want me to drive you to my house first to be healed by my mother?" I offered Rin a favor.

"There's no need for Yuuta, I'm fine" Rin replied.

"Where should we be, Yuuta?" ask Oda to be confused.

"Hmm, let's put it this way" I replied.

I gave my back to Rin to carry her.

"Come on Rin, Get on my back, I'll carry you home" I asked.

"Eh.. are you sure, Yuuta?" ask Rin.

"Of course, I'm guilty so I'm responsible" I replied with a smile to Rin.

Rin was finally willing to accept my offer to be carried by me.

Finally the three of us continued our journey that was close to the village.

In front of the village we stopped for a moment.

"Rin, look at that" I said as I looked at the sunset and was accompanied by a slow wind.

"Well, it's beautiful" said Rin who was so amazed by the beauty of the scene.

"It is beautiful and soothing atmosphere of the village in the afternoon," said Oda.

Not long after we walked back to our homes.

"Yuuta, Rin, we part here yes, I go first" Oda said.

"Well, I'll see you later" I replied.

"See you, Oda" Rin continued.

I drove Rin to Rin's house, and on the way I asked Rin about her situation.

"Rin, do you still feel pain?" I was worried about Rin's situation.

"No, it's getting better now, after all, it's just a small wound, with a little bit of it being treated tomorrow it'll heal, too" Rin replied gently.

And soon we arrived in front of Rin's house.

"That's enough for Yuuta to get here, thank you, yes" Rin said to me with a sweet smile on her face.

"Alright Rin, then I go home first huh," I replied a little nervously.

"Yes, be careful on the road" Rin said.

"Yes, see you soon, Rin," My pamphlet is happy.

"See you, Yuuta," replied Rin smiling at me.

I who once again saw that smile on Rin's face amazed me and immediately turned my slightly reddened face and rushed back home.

"I'm sorry Rin, I promise I won't leave you and grow strong with you" I muttered as I walked away.

I finally walked back to my house which was a little far from Rin's house.

When I got home.

"I'm home..." My regards.

"Yuuta, are you home? Why are you coming home later than usual?" Ask my mom who is worried about me.

"I'm sorry ma'am, on the way home, Rin's leg was injured by falling while running after me and Oda, so I drove her home" I explained.

Hearing that, made my mother smile with relief because there was no danger threatening her son.

"Well, now clean yourself up and prepare for dinner" said my mother softly.

"Okay mom" I replied with a happy smile.

I hurried to clean myself up and prepared for dinner with my family.
