“So, this is how it feels when you sign a contract with Dewa,” William muttered.
"I'm really jealous, Brother, you should have made me your Guardian God instead." Lily pouted. The little loli grabbed William's hand and looked at him with the little puppy's eyes.
William ignores Lily and looks at Gavin in a new way. “Is it over? Is it time for me to reincarnate? ”
“Not yet. I'll give this to you too, ” Gavin said with a smile.
Issei and Lily showed surprised expressions, but quickly disappeared from their faces. The two had recognized what Gavin's gift was and it made them nod their heads in appreciation.
"What's this?" ask William. He stared at the thing Gavin had given him. Its width and length are at most only two centimeters. Somehow, it looked very familiar. The boy was sure that he had seen this thing on Earth.
“I believe it's called CPU Core on Earth,” explains Gavin. “This is my last gift to you. I pray that it serves you well in your next life.”
"Thank you" replied William.
She was so grateful that she knew that Gavin gave her something so precious. Although he did not know what the Core CPU was capable of, he had the feeling that it would play a significant role in its rebirth.
"My turn!" Lily raised her hand and handed the lollipop to William. “Sister, this is a gift from Lily. Please, don't refuse!”
"Hey, Lily, what do you think you're doing?" Gavin glared at the little loli. “William is now my follower. Stop making your moves on him. ”
"I know he's your follower, but then why?" Lily grunting. "I didn't break any rules!"
"Lili's right." Issei who was watching from the side grinned. “He did not break any rules. Little sister, you should gratefully accept Lily's gift. Not every day he likes someone who is not his follower.”
“A-Well.” William thankfully received Lily's lollipop which made the smile on the loli's face widen. Fortunately, he didn't wear the Truth Glasses. If so, he might have retreated in fear.
Gavin sighed, but did not continue the matter. “Thank you, Lili.”
“Why thank me? I gave it to my sister because I liked her. ” Lily grunting. “I didn't do it for you. Don't get me wrong, Baka.”
The CPU Core and Lollipop floated in midair and shot towards William's chest. A surge of divine energy permeated his soul and it made him feel dizzy.
After ten minutes, William finally regained his composure. He once again thanked Gavin, Issei, and Lily for the gift they gave him. After they finished eating, they took William to the Reincarnation Cycle.
Reincarnation Cycle is a place where countless portals — are connected to different worlds — are hovering in the starry sky.
The colorful portal itself looked like a star and William felt fear and excitement at the same time.
"I think William should go to the golden portal there" Issei suggested.
"The golden mortal is good, but I don't want Big Brother to live his life like a pig" Lily said. “Portal Silver will be perfect for him because it will give him room to expand.”
"Um, can you tell me more about the portal?" ask William. Since it was related to his rebirth, he wanted to know more about the differences between the different portals.
"No," replied the Three Gods firmly. "We are not allowed to divulge any information relating to the portal."
William may not be very smart, but he understands that Issei and Lily have given him some clues about which portal is best. Gavin stands by her side and waits for her to choose the world in which she will be born.
While he was contemplating his decision, the golden portal before him shone. An old man, dressed in a white robe and carrying a wooden stick appeared before him.
“Gavin? The issei? Lily?" The old man was shocked to see his acquaintance in the Reincarnation Cycle. “Are you all here to wait for my return? I'm sorry, but I didn't bring any souvenirs. ”
"As it were, old man!" Lily raised her little fist. "We're here to send William and not to welcome your return!"
"Che ~" the old man looked a little disappointed. However, his expression changed when he saw William. “Oh, this is quite interesting!”
“Hah! It's amazing!" The old man approached and looked at William from top to bottom. “For the soul to receive so much Divin-ooomf!”
"Old man, you better not say anything!" Issei glaring. "This is a secret! If other Gods knew about this, there would be a riot!”
"Close your trap, old man," pinta Gavin. “This is my last chance to get followers, don't make me beat you up!”
"Well, you bad boy!" The old man agreed, but a mischievous smile appeared on his face. “However, let me join too! This looks fun! Besides, that boy seemed to be specially made to be my disciple.”
"Well?!"
“T-Wait old sir, are you real? You plan on making William your student?"
"Why not? That's not against the rules, is it? In addition to that. It's also useful for you, Gavin.”
Gavin frowned. “Old man, the boy's soul can't accept gods anymore. Having three already pushed him to his limit. ”
"Don't worry, I won't give him any gods" said the old man. "I'll give him something different."
After the three reach an understanding, they return to where William and Lily are waiting for them.
"Hello, William," the old man greeted the boy with a brilliant smile. "My name is David and I am a friend of these three Gods."
"Hello, Mr. David." William lowered his head.
"Have you chosen the portal you want to enter?" ask David.
"Yes!" William answered with determination. "I'll go to the Silver Portal there."
William pointed to the Silver Portal that scattered the rainbow light from its center.
“That world? Not bad. That's a very good choice.” David nodded his head in agreement. “Well, since we both met then it must be Destiny. Let me give you a souvenir before you leave this place.
David handed over the wooden stick he held to William. "Bring this with you."
“Eh? B-But Grandpa, this is your walking stick, right?” William looked at David in confusion.
"Relax, I've got more of where it came from." David waved his hand casually.
A wooden stick, similar to the one William was holding, appeared in David's hand.
"Take it as a memento of our meeting." David patted the boy's shoulder. "Now, go."
William's body floated in the air and flew towards the portal. However, he stopped halfway and looked back at the four Gods who had made his stay in the Temple of the Gods memorable.
"Thank you all!" William bowed respectfully. "I'll do my best in my next life."
"William, before you go, please listen carefully" Gavin said. “As you embark on your new journey, remember that the journey itself has meaning. Sunrise, sunset, and the beauty of the world around you, embrace it all and live your life to the fullest.”
"Thank you! I will!" William waved his hand one last time and faced the portal in front of him.
Suddenly, a truck emerges from the portal right next to the Silver Portal that William is about to enter.
With a violent collision, the truck crashes into William and makes him spin towards the red portal in the distance. In the span of a few seconds, William's soul entered the portal leaving the four Gods frozen in place.
Gavin, Issei, Lily, David: “...Fck!”
The truck stopped and became a ten-meter robot. “Um? Did I just hit someone?”
“Truk-kun! I'll really dismantle you!” Gavin roared furiously.
