THE REINCARNATED WITH THE STRONGEST SYSTEM
Chapter 2: The Temple of the Ten Thousand Gods

When William opened his eyes, he found himself lying on a small golden cloud flying in the sky.

At first, she thought that she was still dreaming, but the memories of how Belle fainted in front of her came flooding in. Along with the flood of memories, a consciousness appeared in his mind.

"Absolutely. I'm dead,” William muttered. He subconsciously placed his hand on his chest to feel his heartbeat, but he did not feel and hear anything.

After sighing, the boy sat cross-legged on the clouds as if it was the most natural thing to do in the world. After doing so, the memories of his life flashed before his eyes.

William saw happy memories, sad memories, and memories he did not want to see again. At the end of his memory, the shadow of a beautiful girl with long black hair made him bite into frustrated lips.

To be honest, he was very worried about her.

Was the operation successful? Did the doctors make it in time? Will the Hospital Director keep his promise?

Many questions popped into his head. However, he knew that there was nothing else he could do to influence the outcome of the events that had happened. His reason? He's already dead. There is no point in worrying about things that are out of his control.

"I hope you're safe, Belle" William said, raising his head.

A golden portal shone in front of him and he knew that his journey had ended. He had never believed in God before, because God had never done anything for him while he was alive. He also did not believe in Heaven and Hell.

The only thing he believed in was Reincarnation.

Perhaps, she was influenced by the countless novels she had read while staying in the hospital. Her hobbies are just reading stories about cultivation, kingdom building, slices of life, transmigration, historical romances, and many other themes.

"If there really is a God then he better prepare himself for my fist." William narrowed his eyes as he stared at the golden portal that was getting bigger every second. “If I find out that He also took Belle, I will beat him until his Mama does not recognize him anymore.”

Those were the last words William said before the clouds entered the golden portal. What he saw on the other side of the portal fascinated him. It reminded her of the time her class went to the planetarium for their Science Field Trip.

"What in the world?" William asked subconsciously as he stared at the vastness of space. Countless stars, planets, and galaxies can be seen in the distance.

Before the teenage boy could even process everything he saw, the cloud sped up and headed for a giant planet that looked very similar to Earth.

Surprisingly, several other golden clouds appeared next to William as they headed for the planet.

A procession of millions of gold clouds formed in less than a minute.

Each of them also brings in each person varying in age. Some are old, some are young, and some are very young. Children no older than three looked at William with curious gazes, sucking their thumbs.

William felt a pain in his chest as he looked at the little ones with a sad expression. They reminded her of her sisters in the orphanage.

As they get closer to the planet, a surprising change occurs in the procession of the gold cloud.

The clouds that carried the old men broke away from the formation and headed towards the Eastern Side of the planet. Clouds carrying children under the age of five flew towards the South.

It didn't take long for William to realize that they were being "separated" by an unknown force that seemed to manipulate the cloud order.

The cloud that William rode did not change direction and continued straight towards the center of the planet. Several others were in the same group as him, but they were less than a hundred.

"Greetings to each of you," said the old man in a friendly and soothing voice. “I know you all have many questions. Even though I don't have an answer for everything, I will be happy to answer everything I know. Do any of you want to ask?”

"Me!" a skinny young man who seemed to be in his early twenties raised his hand.

"Continue" replied the old man.

"Are you God?" ask the skinny guy.

"No" replied the old man. “I am just one of their many helpers.”“Their maid? You mean there's more than one God?” a beautiful woman asked.

"Oh yeah." the old man smiled. “There's old and there's new. By the way, the name of this temple is the Temple of the Ten Thousand Gods. Although I said Ten Thousand Gods, the exact number of Gods living in it is unknown. ”

The old man paused for a moment before continuing his explanation. “It has been thousands of years since this temple was named, and many Gods have been born during the passage of time. Of course, it is also true that many of the Gods perished as well. ”

William and the others fell silent as they digested the old man's words. Even so, because as young as they are, their curiosity overwhelms them.

“Why so much?” a handsome boy with blond hair and blue eyes asked. “Isn't there only one True God?”

"Good question." The old man nodded his head in appreciation. "You came from Earth, right?"

"Yes" replied the handsome young man.

“Say that on Earth, there is only one True God.” the old man smiled. “Then, what about the other world? If every world had one True God, wouldn't that mean that there are countless True Immortals in various worlds in this universe?”

The handsome boy widened his eyes realizing. He understood what the old man was talking about and no longer asked any questions.

The old man gestured towards the Ten Thousand Gods Temple and continued his explanation.

“You know, God was born out of people's beliefs. By this logic, it also means that a new God is always born. The stronger the belief, the stronger the Lord.”

“After the passage of time, Many Gods were born and many Gods were lost. When Gods are forgotten, it is when these Gods cease to exist. ”

“In short, instead of directly entering into the Reincarnation Cycle, all of you will be given the opportunity to choose a protective God before making the journey to the next life,” the old man added.

"Wait on! I know this!" The nerdy boy adjusted his glasses as he prepared to issue his guess. “If we follow what I have read in the light novels, these Gods will give us cheat powers, powerful artifacts, holy weapons, and, and another blessing that will give us an edge in our next life, right?”

"Something like that" the old man replied as he played his long beard. “Each God has their own specialties and most of them give their followers the same items or abilities.”

"I know it!" The nerdy boy clenched his fists excitedly. His eyes lit up as he looked at the gate behind the old man with anticipation.

“Since we don't have much time left, I'll catch up soon,” the old man announced. “You are all here because the Gods looked upon you all well. Maybe you did something in your life that deserves their recognition.”

The old man paused for a moment to let the meaning of his words sink in.

"Well, if there's no more questions, let's go in." The old man waved his hand and the temple gate opened. "Let me welcome you once again at the Ten Thousand Gods Temple!"
