THE REINCARNATED WITH THE STRONGEST SYSTEM
Chapter 5: Signing of Contracts

"Sister, please be my follower," Lily said with her eyes turned upside down.

William was convinced that if he did not manage to see the true form of Goddess Loli then he would probably easily agree to her request.

“M-Sorry, but I'm not interested!” William looked around in despair. He looked at Brother Issei for help, but the latter simply nodded his head with a smile.

“Goddess Loli is also a good choice, Brother,” comments Issei. “Some of my lovers are lolis. Not only are they cute and adorable, they are also very loyal!”

Lily smiled broadly at William. “Sister, come on, choose me as your Guardian God. I promise you that you won't regret it. Remember, a prison is just another room. Get out of your mind!"

Seeing his sworn brother conspiring with Loli Granny, William's gaze turned to the one God who had never left his side since the day he stepped inside the temple.

“G-Gavin! Please help me!" William begged.

“Why should I help you? Lily is a good Goddess.” Gavin smiles. "The two of you are a couple made in Heaven."

"Really! We are both a couple made in Heaven! ” Lily happily nodded in agreement.

William could feel his body slowly numb. It might be due to her body's reaction to the Loli Goddess, or it might be due to the divine essence released by Lily in close proximity.

Desperate, William uses a trump card that will ensure his safety.

“Gavin, if you help me then I promise to be your follower!” William roaring.

Lily was shocked by William's decision. This is the first time this has happened to him. The majority of the people who had entered the temple would always agree to sign a contract with her when she acted cute and sticky.

It never crossed his mind that because of his actions, he forced William into a dead end.

"You heard it, Lily," Gavin stepped forward and pulled the little loli away from William's stiff body.

“Cih!” Lily pouted.

After being freed from the clutches of Loli-Grandmother, William was finally able to relax. He took a few deep breaths to calm himself down before staring at Gavin with grateful eyes.

"Give me the contract" said William. "I'll sign it."

Gavin did nothing and just looked at William with a serious expression. He really wanted to give the boy his contract, but he also did not want to force it. The God of All Trade knew that he was playing dirty to get William's promise and he felt very guilty.

"What's the rush?" Gavin. “It would be better if we talk about this while enjoying good food.”

“It sounds like a good idea.” Issei nodded in agreement. He felt that something was wrong, but he decided to go with the flow for now.

"I'm coming too!" Lily did not want to miss, so she decided to follow them.

Gavin takes William and the two participating Gods to the most popular restaurant inside the Temple. The restaurant is privately run by the God of Cooking.

William's tongue nearly melted as he bit his first bite.

“D-Lezat!” William was amazed and devoured the food on his plate voraciously.

Even though he was dead, the food made him remember when he went to sleep while feeling hungry. The orphanage did not have much funding and limited food. He often shared food with his younger brother and sister so they did not feel too hungry.

The three Gods caught a glimpse of his sad memories and ordered more food to take to their tables. They looked at the boy with pitiful eyes and decided to let him eat delicious food for life.

After the meal ended, William patted his swollen belly in satisfaction.

"That's best" William said as he closed his satisfied eyes.

"Do you want any more?" ask Gavin. “We can always order more.”

"good. If you say so.”

William looked around the restaurant. Most of the customers are Gods. He considered that most of the Chosen Ones had chosen their Guardian Gods and entered their reincarnation cycle.

“Gavin, can you tell me the job of a follower?” William scratched his cheek shyly. “I didn't really get this stuff. Is there something I should do in return for your blessing?

“Before that, let me tell you more about me.” Gavin decided to be straightforward. He wanted William to choose him by his own free will and not because he was forced to do so. "After my explanation, you can decide whether you want to choose me to become your Guardian God or not."

William was surprised by Gavin's attitude. In the end, he decided to nod and listen to the explanation of the Gods.

Seeing William give him his undivided attention, Gavin begins his explanation.

“As you probably already know, my slogan is Jack of all Trades, Master of None. Just like your good brother, Issei, when you sign my contract then you will receive my blessing. Thanks to me working like this, you will have a twenty percent increase in experience that you will gain when you increase your grade level of work.

“Class of work? Same as in the game?” ask William. He had played RPGs before and he was quite familiar with the concept of leveling. The boy had also read many novels about cultivation and virtual games, so it was easy for him to understand Gavin's explanation.

"Yes. That's the first benefit of being my follower.” Gavin nodded his head as a sign of confirmation. “The second benefit is that you will get additional skill points every time your job class goes up. Isn't that amazing?”

“This is awesome. But I have one question. ”

"And that was?"

“Will your blessings apply to the world I will live in? I doubt that your blessing would be useful if I were reincarnated on Earth. There are no monsters on Earth. You can't get experience from killing monsters.”

"Who said you only get experience when killing monsters?" Gavin asked back with an understanding smile.

"You don't have to kill monsters?" William asked back.

“You don't need to kill monsters to gain experience to improve your working class. Remember this William, every world has its own laws. I believe you earthlings have a saying when in Rome, do what the Romans did. The same can be said of the other world. When you live in that world, you do the things that people in that world do, understand?”

"Yes." Yeah."

"Good," Gavin continued his explanation. “The third benefit is this. Once you open ten jobs, you will be able to combine them all! For example, you could be a knight, a priest, a witch, a druid, a dragon warrior, etc!”

“That sounds too good to be true. What catch? ” William is not naive. If everyone could have this amazing ability then Gavin would not be desperate to make him his follower.

Gavin smiled wryly as he decided to be honest with William. “The problem is, most people can only have one to three professions in their lives. Reaching ten professions or more is only possible for long-lived creatures like elves.”

“So basically, if I wasn't born an elf, then I messed up?”

"not precise. Only the ability to combine work classes into one will remain unaffordable for you. The rest of the benefits remain. ”

“Oh, that's good news then.” William was relieved that the blessing Gavin mentioned was not a bad thing. "Well, where should I sign?"

“Are you sure that you really want to be my follower? There are better Gods out there, ” replied Gavin.

"It's okay. I believe you." William looked at Gavin seriously. "I believe that you're telling the truth."

Gavin felt the stone in his heart fall. He waved his hand and a contract appeared out of thin air. He then handed it to William along with the pen. The God of All Trade did his best to prevent his hands from shaking. Actually, other than William, he only had one last follower.

God without followers will no longer exist.

This was why he was so desperate to recruit William under his wing. In the end, his honesty towards the boy made the latter choose him as his Guardian God.

After signing the contract, William felt a strong connection between him and Gavin. It was a very warm feeling and it made her feel safe.
