The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 42

November 27th, 2010

Los Angeles International Airport.

Will comes to pick up June at the airport because she's finally back today. All these rumors on the internet have made him sneak out for everything.

This did not upset him, as it only confirmed his ticket to become a star. Because the amount of the box office will take quite a long time, Will has taken over a credit card of $100 thousand from George.

He had already said that he would pay back his own rights, so George did not even hesitate. The first thing he did with the money was rent a bigger apartment in Manhattan.

Because his damaged apartment is at risk of being known to the media and paparazzi, and the owner cannot be too trusted, Will does not want to live in the place anymore. He had already decided to buy a house when he got the money.

In addition, he went to a car seller and bought a car named Yundai Sailor, which is a clone of the actual Hyundai Equus. It looks luxurious and the price is $ 50k.

Will drove inside the airport and walked towards the waiting room in his new car. Many people push their luggage and carry bags. Some couples kiss, and there are even people holding signs, waiting for someone.

Seeing that June was not in front of him, he pulled out his phone and texted her.

[Where are you? I'm at the airport.]

A reply returned immediately.

[I just got out. Why are you here? I said I could take a taxi.]

[I can't let my girlfriend take a taxi.]

There was no answer after that, and Will wondered if it was because his wifi had suddenly died. At that moment, a voice called out to him.

"Aw!"

Raising her head, she sees June coming out with a sliding suitcase bag in her hand.

"June!"

Will said a little loudly, making his gaze fixed on her, his expression shining like a light bulb.

He immediately ran towards her, with the bag sliding behind her as he exited the counter.

Will, whose arms were open, hugged her back tightly as he hugged her.

"I miss you."

He said softly, putting his hands on his back.

"I miss you too."

He said as he hugged her back, taking the bag out of his hand. He kissed her, and they enjoyed the moment together for a while.

Suddenly, Will heard someone shouting.

"Isn't that Heather?"

He raised his head to see a man wearing a hat pointed towards them. Hearing her screams, some people turned to look at them, and many of them recognized June.

"Yes, he is Heather. Isn't he dead?"

"He's the actress who played Heather. Didn't I tell you that this is a movie and not a real documentary?"

"Should I ask for a signature?"

"Who's the guy next to her?"

Hearing the people looking at him and whispering made June confused. He had always craved such kind of attention, but when it happened so suddenly, he did not know how to react.

"Let's get out of here!"

Will tells her, and after taking her luggage, they rush to their car. June is not even surprised by Will's new car as they leave the airport.

"It was very intense. I never thought anyone would recognize me."

He said after calming down. Placing a hand on his heart, he could feel it racing.

"Yes, people have glanced at me when I went to buy things as well. [The Blair Witch Project] is growing in popularity, so how else."

"I also heard news about it. I kept checking the internet and my family was really upset. But they were also shocked when we went to watch a movie together."

June said with a pleased expression. Will was about to reply when his phone suddenly rang.

He pulled out his phone and saw that it was George. Turning to the speaker, he opened his mouth.

"George, is there anything urgent? I'm driving."

yes, it is something urgent. Is June back from her hometown?

"I'm right here. We drive back to the airport."

June answered instead.

- Good! Drive straight to my office.

"Why?"

- This is something big. Don't ask and just drive here. If I answer this time, you will have an accident due to shock.

George said and hung up.

So, they went to the Wheel Works studio office.

Arriving at the office, Will sees that the crowd and the crowd around him are much larger than when he arrived earlier. Without much delay, he went to George's office.

As he knocked, he could see a large poster of [The Blair Witch Project] clinging to the wall behind his chair, and many files and papers neatly arranged in front of his desk from the glass door.

Entering the office, Carl, who was sitting in front of George, stood up to greet the stars with a wide smile. George also stood up and shook hands with Will, his face full of smiles.

"Congratulations on Will's film's great success."

George said as Carl congratulated him too.

"It wouldn't be possible without you, and don't call it big just yet. It still hasn't reached its peak."

will said calmly. George would call any youngster who said such a thing arrogant, but Will was a strange case. Whatever he stated up until now, it was all true.

"What did you call us for? You know I just landed?"

June asked dejectedly, she wanted to spend time with Will, and then they were suddenly summoned here.

"Ah .. yeah .. ahem."

George coughed in embarrassment because he knew he had disturbed the youths in their reunion, but the matter was really urgent, so he continued.

"Look, we got an invitation from [Night Talks With Tuffin]."

That's all they need to hear.

"W-what...?"

June stammered in disbelief; she could not believe what she heard; even Carl, who was inside the room, had an expression of great confusion. Apparently, even he had no idea what George was calling everyone for.

'It's a little earlier than expected ...but it's finally here!'

would think. That he had already expected this development to come soon in the future, but he never expected the situation to come so soon.

[Night Talks With Tuffin] is the most famous talk show in the United States. The host is the famous Brooks Tuffin. He is a middle-aged comedian and entertainer who has made a name for himself in the world of Hollywood.

Appearing on the show will guarantee that your movie will reach at least 2 million people just because of the size of the audience and their popularity.

It is no exaggeration to call it the best type of advertising and promotion to show on the show, but of course, such an event only invites a select few people and has certain standards.

To think that a movie like [The Blair Witch Project] would pass that standard and some budding directors and actors would be invited is unheard of.

Soon, George showed Will an invitation letter. They have sent official letters and emails.

Everyone was happy to hear the news. The invitation was for five people, including Will, June, Marcus, Zach, and distribution company CEO George.

They wanted to catch the show as soon as possible and hence, the time allotted was on Monday, November 29, 2010. So, George told everyone that they would leave tomorrow if Will agreed, which he obviously agreed to for various reasons.

The next day, everyone was getting ready to go to Chicago, where the talk show would take place. They all boarded one car that was the equivalent of the Land Rover Range Rover from Will's previous life and reached Los Angeles International Airport.

They will take a luxury class flight to Chicago, arranged by a talk show team.

As everyone shows their boarding passes and enters the Aeroplane, Will also sits in his seat, which is right next to Junes'.

Will had rented a high-end tuxedo just for show. Since it would still be a long time until she earned her share of the box office income, she could only rent and borrow expensive clothes.

"It's time for us to shine, young man; it's a pause that will turn you into a real star. People haven't really seen you; it'll show you on screen for the first time."

George said while laughing out loud. Will, who heard this, could only gulp.

She always tries to act mature and hypnotize herself for success, but the idea of appearing on screen makes her a bit nervous. Her nervousness lasted only a minute when June tightly grabbed her hand and smiled at her, making her laugh at herself.

As the nervousness subsides, anticipation and excitement take over.

"Damn it, you really took us this far ...."

"My family is so happy these days that they always talk about a happy death. I can't believe I'll be in [Night Talks With Tuffin]."

Marcus and Zach said excitedly as they chatted with George and June.

June, who heard this, inevitably became emotional as tears threatened to come out of her eyes.

"I really can't believe how much my life has changed. I'd still be fighting to get one supporting role if it wasn't for you."

He looked at Will with teary eyes and was grateful.

Will just grabbed her hand and kissed her warmly.

"Always remember, whatever height you reach, you deserve it."

After that, they just had a small chat and decided to take a nap because it took time to reach the goal.

***

Preparations for the talk show with Brooks Tuffin and the cast of [The Blair Witch Project] are booming.

Brooks Tuffin, the entrepreneur behind the famous talk show, has watched the film himself and is deeply impressed by the figure of 'Will Evans'.

As the ongoing popularity of the film was still rising massively, she decided to call the cast of the film to her show, which she did, because it would be a win-win situation for himself and [The Blair Witch Project]. He would even meet Will Evans, so it was a win-win solution for him.
